I love the new features that came with the Belle update, the email and social clients are great! but the only thing is that the mail client doesnt seem to sync mail "Read" status, so when i look at my mail on my N8, it will still be marked unread on my PC and vice versa.Is this an issue that is known and will it be fixed?
View 1 RepliesThe email client on my N8 with Belle suddenly stopped working. I have configured my email with IMAP (Standard not OVI!) and it was working OK until a couple of days ago. Now I can not retrieve/send any email - I always get the message: "Unable to sign in. Try again.". I also tried and removed this particular account and added it once again (as a matter of fact I did this about 10 times!!!) but still no emails are shown. Of course this same mail is working perfectly on all of my PCs and notebooks.

View 2 Replies View Relatedthe mail app sucks on nokia belle ...it just stops synchronising on my n8 after sometime...let it be auto or manual sync, it just doesnt work...it was working on anna for me...i have tried everything also tried not using the ovi server for synching mails...still doesnt work .i am using the gmail id ....it only works for sometime after i reboot my phone...and then again stops.nokia need an update?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have to admit that I'm really disappointed about the quality of the mail client on the E72. I assumed that the E72 as a business device will cover e-mail, the most important business app, in a satisfying way which is not the case.
The datasheet states that IMAP idle is supported which as far as I can tell is not the case. Whatever settings you try to change the connection to the IMAP server is terminated after some minutes and no notification on new emails will take place.
In addition you are able to define multiple connection points with priority but you are not able to use them by the mail client in this way. You either have the possibility to set only one specific connection point or you have to select the desired on each time the device tries to connect to your mail servers.
What I expect is to specify different WLAN access points and UMTS of my provider with different priorities and the device is using whatever is available at my current location taking priorities into consideration.
It's a pain to see how easily and self-evident all these work on the iPhones of my business partners.I'm a loyal Nokia user since the early days of mobile communication but I have to admit that this time I seriously consider defecting to the dark side.
I have following problem:on my N97mini i have installed MfE and it works. But when I receive an email and i read it in outlook or OWA the "new Mail icon" on my N97mini doesn't disappear. It shows that I have a new email but when I click on it there is no new email.The icon only disappears when i reboot my N97mini.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi upgraded my nokia e7 to nokia belle recently and I was very excited but after the update I found out that there no longer was a battery status showing the percentage left. I really liked the old battery status so you would know how much battery life is left. It is just a bit weird that a very good thing from the previous version is discontinued on the belle version.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThe SIP client at my Nokia E6 with Belle can not login to the VoIP account. I receive error message - Incomplete settings please contact your service provider. With the same set of parameters my previous Nokia phones E75 and E61i worked fine with the same service provider. I have contacted help desk of my VoIP service provider and they told me me they have received huge number of similar notifications related to Anna and Belle. Moreover they told me that this issue has been reported to Nokia and they hoped the problem will be solved soon but so far it has not been solved. The VoIP provider I use is IPFON in Poland.
Has somebody faced similar problem with the same or other VoIP provider? Or any specific parameter differences between older generation of phones and Anna/Belle that should be taken into consideration while setting up the VoIP in E6.
With the update of Microsoft applications email client is not working. Two icons namely..freestyleemail and email widget..have cropped up...and unfortunately none are working as on clicking icons dpn't open or response.

Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Upgrade to Belle was nice (except for lost applications and the annoying fact, that WiFi is now "always-on"), but what bothers me most is, that the phone feels it necessary to show, that I'm using line 1 on the top status bar. I can understand that it's important to know, if I would be using line 2 accidentially, but since line 1 is the default, I don't want to know about it. So how do I get rid of this ugly "1" on top? The Nokia Maps app does pretty good nav but whereas e.g. TT will accept a postcode like CT16 2AB, Nokia Maps (or Drive as it is called; the Drive app shares the same database with the Maps app) accepts only CT162.
Today I tried to drive from Brighton (UK) to Biggin Hill Airport but Drive could not find Biggin Hill, which is weird. So I used an old Pocket/PC PDA with TT6 to get there. The Nokia apps did not show any roads/streets for a large area around the destination and on the way back it was about half an hour before I reached a map showing roads/streets. I deleted and reloaded the UK map (400MB) from Nokia and that fixed that bizzare issue, but having two ways to do the job is obviously desirable. And TT is a better app with a better database.

I downloaded Skype from OVI and it opens properly etc.but does not allow me to enter my password etc. and then reverts to the main screen. I am with Vodafone UK.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a N8 for 1 and half years and very happy with it. I did not upgrade to Belle because I read lots of people that were not satisfied and wanted to go back to Anna.
Problems I read in the forum in various discussions:1) Camera performance in low light has deteriorated, I love my N8 mainly because of the camera
2) Battery life is worse
3) Applications will be lost and I will need to reinstall them all , plus could never get back the Nokia ones I had free through offers
4) The useful and effective Nokia clock/calendar/profile switcher has been showed the door in favor of a Andoid-style clock
5) Widgets are worse or less effective: the email and music widgets are very big that I don't think I will be very happy wasting lots of space with no alternative.
6) Widgets do not change with theme, I have my nice Anna email/music and other widgets that gets transparent or just adapt to the Theme I choose, I haven't seen that on Belle. That ugly email widget for example is always the same , white on blue.
So basically I feel that I give up lots of useful and efficient features just in order to get a OS that is more fluid , has more homescreens and I can move the widgets and shortcuts around??
I have looked around the forum and there are still people not satisfied but most comments are now old.
