I can´t open the setting for contacts, calender and mail.If I choose that option the screen shows it for about 1 second and then it returns tho hpomescreen again.The phone is a iPhone4 with IOS5.1.1 and hasn´t been used before.4

Everything worked well for over half a year until last Thursday.I sync my contacts, email and calendar with my Google Account via Mail for Exchange protocol. Contacts, calendar and email sync stopped working on Thursday. Manual sync does not work. I set up my Mail for Exchange mailbox again, reinstalled phone software.

I know how to "delete" the email account in my settings, but when I did that it removed all of my saved notes from within the past 6 months from the iPhone's original "notes" app, as well as removed my events that are saved in my calendar app. So I re-added the email account (which is an additional email account connected to my yahoo email that my employer added for me in the past (I no longer work there, so I don't need it). The strange thing is that when I bought my phone, I set everything up through a different Yaho account. How can I remove this email without loosing my notes and calendar events?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded to the 4S. I set it up by "restoring" to the last backup on the Cloud, but for some reason, in the "Settings" panel, the iCloud option is grayed out. This is also the case for all of my individual email addresses under "Mail, Contacts,..." I called support and they just made me reset my password - twice - which hasn't done anything but annoy me.

Our email system allows IMAP connections from mobile devices.It uses secure IMAP and SMTP ports and expects the password to be transmitted in clear text (over the SSL connection).I have been able to access my mail with IMAP using both an E52 and a 5800 with the default installed email application, but I am unable to send mail via SMTP as the password is being transmitted in an incompatible format.Is there an alternative email application that will allow me to fine tune password transmission?

Every time i go to set an mailbox (i.e gmail) i just enter the password and the device just take me to the screen to choose E-mail (Ovi Mail, Yahoo, Gmail...).. Nothing happens.
I have an iphone and setting an e-mail account was peace of cake. Nokia drives me crazy. I did factory defaults and everything but nothing seems to help. I can access internet by wi-fi and by my operator (successfully browse the WEB).
I'm on iOS 8.0.2Â on the iPhone 6. In mail settings, when I change any information (default account/signature etc) and return back to the settings screen, the settings revert back to what they were originally!
For example, when I edit my signature to 'Thanks', and click back to the mail settings menu, the signature appears as 'Sent from my iPhone' again! This is the same for all settings in mail only, not for those in contacts or calendar. Only mail settings seem to be not working.Â
I've tried a hard reboot, resetting network systems, and all that stuff. What should I do?
After I installed and used the push mail toggle to turn my push "off", for some reason now I can no longer get push to work again. I have removed the push mail toggle, and I have rebooted. Any idea's what may be going on?

This is normally pretty straight forward, however, on this particular phone I can't get into the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings. When I go into Settings and click on it, the screen flicks up into the settings for a second and then boots me out of settings and back to the main display
I have tried restarting the phone to no avail and checked to make sure it has the latest software update. Is there anything else I can try before I resort to resetting back to default settings?

Using a MS Exchange account , if I delete a message on my iPad, how can I ensure it is not deleted off the server? I know how to do this with POP accounts on the iPhone but I can't find the same option on the MS Exchange account settings on the iPhone.

My iPhone 4s randomly says "the ID or password for ______ mail account is incorrect. Cannot get mail." my ID and password were NOT changed and are working fine on my desktop and iPad. This has happened for a mail account at AT&T before and now today for a gmail account. Reentering the ID and password in settings doesn't solve the problem. Still can't get mail.

So i found a file i want to use my email sound. I named it to a .caf and it works fine playing it in quicktime on the machine.I sshed into the iphone directory / System / Library/ Audio/UISounds and changed the file called new-mail.caf.So i did that rebooted. Sent myself a test email.. No sound or vibrate.. Nothing.Changed it back to the original, works as intended.
