Using a MS Exchange account , if I delete a message on my iPad, how can I ensure it is not deleted off the server? I know how to do this with POP accounts on the iPhone but I can't find the same option on the MS Exchange account settings on the iPhone.
I am using a BIS plan, I was trying to configure my Exchange mail in to my BB. I try using OWA. but i was not able to do getting error messgae like check user name and password or contact administrator if problem persist.
I have Nokia e51 and I've tried to configure MfE on it the same way it works on my other Nokia phone (5230), but although the settings are exactly the same, I keep on receiving "System Error" while synchronizing the email (it looks like this translated from Polish I click 'synchronize' it says 'connected' 'synchronizing email' 'sync failed. Contact your administrator if the problem persists'). The email account is Gmail. My settings:
Connection: Exchange server: m.google.com Secure connection: Yes Access point: (no matter if I set WiFi or WAP or Internet - it doesn't change anything) Default port: Yes Credentials: Username: [my username]@gmail.com Password: [my password] Domain: [empty] Sync schedule: Always On Calendar, Tasks, Contacts: [all disabled] E-mail: Synchronize Email: Enable E-mail address: [my username]@gmail.com (the same as above) Show new mail popup: Yes Use signature: No Signature: [empty] When sending mail: send immediately Sync messages back: 1 day
Everything is as the setup instructions for MfE at Google Support says and , as I said, it works perfectly on Nokia 5230. The log says: "System error, try again later"
The funy part is that I've tried using two different e-mail accounts: they both display that error but the one that works on my other Nokia apparently downloaded the mail (although it still shows errors everywhere, even the log says it didn't work). The MfE is the most current, I've downloaded it from Ovi store today (3.00.050), my Nokia software is updated too (410.34.001).
i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.
iPhone Backup - Does it back up 3rd party(Exchange, gMail, etc) mail settings and Passwords? So when I go to transfer/restore my backup to a new phone, will the exchange account settings, like server, user name and password be restored to the new iPhone?
I'm trying to figure how-to configure and use e-mail without using BES.I checked with the local telco. And the number is not ascociated with any BES service. The services entry show no indication in that direction. Moreover, the SIM card config show that everything is disabled. Meaning that the phone is unlocked. At least that is my understanding. However, even after a wipe, the BB device does not allow me to configure an e-mail account as described in the manual. It keeps on asking for a BES activation first
I'm in Uruguay (South America), my sevice provider is Ancel. I work for Tata Consultancy Services, and I want to connect to im.tcs.com mail server. The problem is that apparently I can't get my APN settings to work properly. I've called my sevice provider many times but their plain answer is that they don't offer blackberry support, even though they should be able to help me configure APN. I've also called blackberry support from Tcs, and they say that I should talk to my service provider to configure my maiil account.
I am not able to configure mail....earlier it was configured successfully but now itz asking to varify password....and when i do that itz showing the msg INVALID PASSWORD
Two weeks back, I bought Nokia Asha 302 and trying to configure mail but I can't. It is showing "checking for mail service updates" for a long time. I tried through GPRS and Wi-Fi same issue.

I was trying to set up my wife's school Exchange email on her 3GS and when done it keep asking for a password. We entered the correct one but it keeps saying wrong password even though it's right.Any ideas?
I upgraded to iOS 5.1, and shortly after, my connection to the gmail Exchange server stopped working, saying: Cannog Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've tried deleting and re-adding the account, changing my password, and completly restoring my phone, but I still get that message when I try to check my mail. I can, however, set it up as a regular gmail account, and that works just fine. Furthermore, my calendar works when I set up the Exchange account, it's only the mail that doesn't. I can also see all of my gmail labels if I look in my mailboxes, but I can't receive data. What might be preventing my Exchange account from checking my mail?
I have purchased E72 on or around 15th Jan., 2010 from one of the Nokia Dealers in Indraprasth Shopping Center, Borivali, Mumbai. I found one man in his shop wearing a Nokia Shirt and after I bought this mobile, he set up the e-mail configuration using his sim card as his was of Airtel and Mine was MTNL. After that day I stayed in Mumbai for only 2 days and never used any of the email services. When I reached my office overseas, I tried to access the emails on my phone but it would hang and I would have to restart it again. Thinking there is a virus, I downloaded the F-secure Anti-virus from the Ovi Store. But it became worse. It stopped the Java applications on the phone. So, I uninstalled the Anti Virus and tried the email. But in vain. Then I was asked by one of the engineers at my service provider to remove the mailboxes and re-configure them. I did remove the mailboxes and since then - now 3 months.I have not been able to configure my mailboxes on my E72 again.
I went to the Nokia Priority Dealer - Foneman in Mangal Kunj, S. V. Road, Borivali -W, and they failed to configure it and sent me for software upgrade to Nokia Care, Near Railway Station in Borivali - W.They upgraded the software as they claim and tried to configure my email IDs. But they have failed too.Yet when they open their IDs on my E72, they open. What is the problem and how can I sort it out.I want my Gmail and Yahoo IDs functioning on this device.Or else, this device is of no use to me.I am very much disappointed with the Nokia Service which I have received from the Priority Dealer and Nokia Care.Is it because I bought the phone from a dealer and not a Nokia Priority Shop? Those so called promoters at the Priority Shops are incompetent and in the process of configuring my mail IDs on my E72, he went and terminated my Ovi Mail ID. Now I have signed up with another ovi ID and it has started working on the E72.This means there is some technical problem which is stopping the configuration of the other email clients.
I have Exchange configured on my iPhone and have it setup for Push; however, what I am finding is that it does not work as I would expect. Having both the iPhone and the Blackberry side-by-side, when a new message arrives, the BB instantly flashes and notifies me of a new message, the iPhone... nothing. I have to actually wake the device, unlock it and open Mail in order to see that I have a new message.
Is this the intended operational procedure or am I missing something. We have Exchange 2003 Server (with SP2) not that it should matter. Just find that a bit lacking if that is what is considered Push per Apple's definition. If the device is awake and Mail is running, I get notified, but lets be honest, how often is your device in standby mode (sleeping). I really want to pitch the BB.
I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox on iphone 5 running iOS7. After entering the proper parameters, I receive error "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."
I know the server parameters are correct because I have entered the exact same parameters for another users mailbox and mail loads perfectly fine on the iPhone. I dont believe the issue lies with the parameters but maybe the individual mailboxes? Are there settings on our exchange server i should be comparing between the mailboxes to determine why one mailbox loads fine while the other does not?
Could it be an issue with iOS 7 ? Is there a guide or something that will show how the users mailbox settings should be set on exchange 2010?
I verified the device shows up when i log into the users OWA account > Mobile Phones, but still unable to load mail. There are no other devices in the mobile phones section so there shouldnt be a limit issue. Â
My exchange email worked just find with previous OS, not with both my Iphone and Itouch 3rd Gen Exchange email does not show anything other than folders, i have tried deleting account and re adding and restoring new phone or itouch factory settings with no luck. any idea's?
I have my Gmail account set up on my iPhone as Exchange, to get push email. The issue I am having:In my Gmail account settings, I have it set to send mail using only my initials, so that when I send a message to someone they will only see (A J) for example. When sending emails from my browser in gmail, this works fine. If I go to my iPhone, and send a response to an email thread, it will send from my full name. Any emails that I send from my iPhone automatically show my full name. Is there some type of account setting for this? I don't want it to use my full name when I send email from the phone. I have looked everywhere and don't see any setting for this. I have also called Apple support and they have no idea.
