Ever since this morning my Blackberry 9300 hasn't received any mail. I have two accounts set up on it, a Gmail account and my work webmail account.If I try to go into the email settings, I get message: 'connecting to email settings' and an hour glass and eventually 'your device has a problem connecting to the server'.
I have tried on both the WIFI at work and the Virgin Media mobile network.
I inherited a blackberry from a relative and can use it for phone calls, texts, address book, etc. I would like to reconfigure the setting for email and cannot find the steps to do that. It is currently configured for Blackberry Enterprise, and I would like to change it to Microsoft Outlook.
Just recently I have had a problem with being able to edit my email settings, when I go to main menu > set up > Email accounts it comes up with a username and password. I assume the username that it is requesting would be an email address so I've tried all of mine and all of my passwords in the box, it doesn't seem to be accepting any of them. Also according to my service provider and my sisters blackberry it's not supposed to be requesting any type of username or password there. I have three email accounts: Google mail, Window's live mail and my blackberry email account. My service provider is 3 UK.
I'm trying to figure how-to configure and use e-mail without using BES.I checked with the local telco. And the number is not ascociated with any BES service.The services entry show no indication in that direction.Moreover, the SIM card config show that everything is disabled. Meaning that the phone is unlocked. At least that is my understanding.However, even after a wipe, the BB device does not allow me to configure an e-mail account as described in the manual. It keeps on asking for a BES activation first

How do I configure email to blink the notification light when an email is received? Also, I have 3 email accounts configured: Exchange and 2 Gmail accounts. I changed the Gmail accounts to sync email every 15 minutes. The Exchange account works but not the gmail accounts. Gmail has IMAP already enabled.
I have a BB Bold 9780. I am trying to configure my e-mail account. After entering the password of the account I get the following message: Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log again.
why my phone suddenly stopped receiving emails from both my accounts. I used to live in portugal and i moved to peru, two months ago. I had my phone unlocked from my portuguese operator so i could use it in Peru. When i got here i boght a sim card from a peruvian operator and everything was fine for the 2 fisrt months and now i haven't received emails since the 9th april and i've already reseted the phone and nothing. The thing is when i go to set up an email account, happens two differente things: sometimes i only can choose the option create an email acount by an entreprise server....and i don't have that...so i go to the option creat an email account and nothing happens...it just stays there like i haven't pressed that option....and there are days that i can't even get in the option email accounts....
how is this possible? everything was going fine...there's no reason for this to be happening.. and my operator in peru says they can't do anything because it's a handicap from the cell phone..
I cannot configure my email on my blackberry curve 8520. Even though I'm connected to internet on wifi, when I go to the e-mail configuration area, it tells me that, "even though the mobile web is activated, I'm noy in a wireless zone". I don`t understand, because i can do everything else: enter the app store, browse the web, etc. What shoul I do?
As I received my BB, I started the email application. The BB proposed an update of this application and I accepted.As far as I remember, during the update process, I was proposed to replace the email app by a "setup_email..." app or a stuff like that.Now, I can't set up any email account because the terminal bugs when I try to open the email set up function.Then, the screen is blocked and I'm forced to shut down the terminal with the on/off button.I already tried to update the whole OS from 5 to 6.0.0.576 with BB Desktop Manager but the problem remains.For your information, and if it may help, I just see that the email setup application (6.11.0419.0755) is located after the games in the application list of the BB Desktop Manager.
Configuring my email account on my blackberry touch 9800 that i just switched to using bb desktop manager. I have BB Torch 9860. I succesfully added 3 email accounts earlier to my device. But I want to add a POP email account also (@aub.edu.lb) to the device. It is giving me an error message that my username or password are wrong. I tried several times but it keeps on failing. I am sure I am entering correct username and passord. Several other friends have the same domain configured well on previous versions of BB (Torch or Bold)!I need to add information about the POP port number and SSL encrypted connection so that I can extract the emails through phone. but I am not being able to do that on my torch.
I am not able to configure email using my bold 9700 handset. I have activated the data plan with Airtel provider (India) and the "edge" icon is displayed in lowercase on the main screen and when the same SIM is used in other blackberry handset, it works.
So the issue is with the handset and on boot it shows AT&T. Thereby i guess its unlocked phone, but unfortunately the seller is not taking it back and charged me original price which i got through internet shopping site [URL]

How do I set up my iPhone to work with the e-mail address I set up through 000Webhost? All I can find on the 000webhost site regarding the issue is the following:To configure email client such as Outlook Express you need these details:
* Type of incoming mail server: POP3 or IMAP
* Incoming mail (POP3 / IMAP) server: mx.000webhost.com
* Outgoing (SMTP) server: you need to use your ISP (Internet Service Provider) SMTP server. Call your ISP to know your SMTP (mail sending) server. In case you are unable to get SMTP server, you can use WebMail for email sending.
* Username / Email: [URL]
* Password: ..........
If you are unable to configure your email client, you can always use our WebMail system.On the iPhone I am required to list the following under the INCOMING MAIL SERVER section:
HOST NAME: (According to what I copied and pasted above, it seems that mx.000webhost.com is what should be placed in this space. But I can't get it to work for me, and it does not look like the "mail.example.com" that is usually used for other e-mail servers)
USER NAME:(I guess this is either my e-mail address or the user name I have for this account?)
PASSWORD:(I assume this is either my 000Webhost password or e-mail password?)
For OUTGOING MAIL SERVER I am required to add the following: HOST NAME (usually looks like smtp.example.com - Since I have Comcast as my it would look like [URL]) USER NAME optional PASSWORDptional So, the information provided by 000webhost for setting up mail is not clear to me. What do I place in the above fields?
I have a 9780 and I can't configure my e-mail account, I follow the steps in the setup menu, but when I click on the icon "Internet mail account" does not follow the next step, return to the home screen configuration, please I need urgent help with this, I did the configuration of an email account but it was through the blackberry page in my browser but I can not do this again.
I wanted to configure my personal email account, but all I get on my BB, when I enter the set up wizard (besides from bluethooth, wifi) is the email set up wizard for a work email account. (whilst, if I look to the help menu online, there you get two possibilities).
I am trying to configure a personal email address on my blackberry curve 8520 but it only gives me the option on the Email Set-up - i want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server and not the option ' i want to create or add an email address. I have currently got an ASDA SIM Card. Is there a way of setting up an e-mail address on this phone?
