Apr 24, 2012Using a MS Exchange account , if I delete a message on my iPad, how can I ensure it is not deleted off the server? I know how to do this with POP accounts on the iPhone but I can't find the same option on the MS Exchange account settings on the iPhone.

Jul 9, 2010I have Nokia e51 and I've tried to configure MfE on it the same way it works on my other Nokia phone (5230), but although the settings are exactly the same, I keep on receiving "System Error" while synchronizing the email (it looks like this translated from Polish I click 'synchronize' it says 'connected' 'synchronizing email' 'sync failed. Contact your administrator if the problem persists'). The email account is Gmail. My settings:

Secure connection: Yes
Access point: (no matter if I set WiFi or WAP or Internet - it doesn't change anything)
Default port: Yes
Credentials:
Username: [my username]@gmail.com

Everything is as the setup instructions for MfE at Google Support says and , as I said, it works perfectly on Nokia 5230. The log says: "System error, try again later"
The funy part is that I've tried using two different e-mail accounts: they both display that error but the one that works on my other Nokia apparently downloaded the mail (although it still shows errors everywhere, even the log says it didn't work). The MfE is the most current, I've downloaded it from Ovi store today (3.00.050), my Nokia software is updated too (410.34.001).

Feb 26, 2012i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.

BB Desktop Software :: How To Reduce Amount Of Memory Allocated To Pictures?
Mar 30, 2010My name is Ed and I'm a newbie. Please indulge the length of this first post as I have many issues. My goal is to get all my favorite music together to be played on my Storm, which I can also use to play through my home stereo system. So far ,there, the volume is erratic and there is some distortion.
I have copied CD's and downloaded MP3s and M4as to my computer. The downloads came zipped and when extracted, I put the folders in an iTunes file and deleted the artwork and was left with the zipped folders, which I put in a separate "downloaded zip files" folder.
(1)Can I delete these zips without losing my music? I installed the original Desktop Mgr with Roxio, didn't like it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled DM with no Media Mgr and downloaded iTunes for the second time. Meantime, I opened Windows Media Player to see what version I had and if I could use it with DM and it automatically retrieved my 700 songs.
(2)Are they hurting anything there being a duplicate of iTunes and if so, how do I get them out?
To the biggest problem: I also downloaded the BB Media Sync and when I used it to load my 700 songs to my phone, it did so for 650 of them (4.3GB) but then said I was out of memory so it didn't sync the last 50.The details showed me that I have about 3GB memory left on the phone but it is for pictures.I don't care if my pictures are on there or not, I want to be able to load 8GB of MUSIC.I used help and it said to go into DM, choose options, and reduce the memory allocated to something else, (like pictures).I did so and there was no way to do that. I tried clicking on everything and never saw any way to do what help said.
(3) How do I get DM to allocate all my 8GB available memory to music? I know I can buy a 16GB chip, but I'm afraid it's going to allocate 12GB of it to pictures.Also, and finally, it is showing 700 songs on the sync screen, but it's shaded. When I want to add,say, 10 more songs, how do I get them through the system and ADD to my phone.Does sync automatically not duplicate?I have Windows XP SP3, 9530 through Verizon, and am about a 3 out of 10 computer knowledge wise.I am going to play golf now, which presents, although completely different, an equally challenging activity.

I know my Exchange email address (it's just user@exchange.company.com versus my normal @company.com email address) but I have a couple questions:Does Exchange allow IT depts. to lock down Exchange to approved decives/device IDs?We have to change passwords every month or so, but I never have to do anything on my Blackberry to keep getting email pushed - how does Echange handle that? Jun 1, 2010I am having trouble with some things that I havent been able to figure out by now and this is my last resort where to find answers. This issue is really bugging me. After literally spending two weeks with my service provider telephoning most time waiting in witing for a call center agent to get connected to and being each time transferred to another division to a last being transferred to the divission where I first started at speak meoving in a cricle and no one being able to help me and this whole theater every day the same for two weeks, I am turning now to the people here hoping I could find some answers
1) My provider in Switzerland is sunrise (BIS), so I went on to the website sunrise.blackberry.com and entered my existing accounts, 4 of them. Additionaly I registered a new blackberry email address to be able to use the true push service which is xx@sunrise.blackberry.com (xx being just a placeholder for my real name). The problem is though that I haven't been able to find out the mail settings I have to enter into my Mail Programm on my PC so I can access the emails on my computer. I dont know if it's a pop server, an IMAP server and not to speak of the mail settings of the server settings for incoming and outgoing email. Since it's actually a BlackBerry server I figured that the servers are BB managed (no one at Sunrise Switzerland even knew what BIS is or that you could receive PUSH mail with the Blackberry email).
2) I tried to register a new email address at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html for a direct xx@blackberry.com email address thinking that maybe with this, it would easier to find infos about the settings. The problem here is that I have to enter my PIN (no problem) and ESN/MEID number. The Problem is that I haven't been able to find those numbers now mather how hard I tried; they are not even listed in options>status.

Apr 17, 2015Is there a way to set the amount of time my S5 holds emails? Currently my phone email has them going back for at least 4 months and it's using up a ton of memory. If I delete them from my phone they also disappear from my web-based server (AT&T) that normally holds 30 days of emails before automatically archiving. I can still access deleted emails by doing a specific search but they don't appear otherwise.

And the number is not ascociated with any BES service.The services entry show no indication in that direction.Moreover, the SIM card config show that everything is disabled.
