BB Bold 9000 :: Way To Increase Alloted Amount Of Memory For Apps?
Feb 5, 2010
I was wondering if there is anyway to increase the alloted amount of memory for apps? It says I hav 35 mb left for apps but says I have about 856 mb left ot memory left on phone.
I just noticed this on my phone last night and I can't figure it out. My phone has 16 GB of internal memory but when I go to Settings and then Storage, my phone is reporting that my memory is totally consumed and app are using over 20 GB of memory. If I use the "MY Files" app that comes installed on the phone, it show device storage as 10.43/16.00 GB. I don't get any errors when installing new apps or updating old ones.
I have cleaned app cache with 360, cleaned system cache in recovery mode, performed a battery pull and gone to the settings app and cleared data with no result.
OK Since the Fb app does not support the function to directly load videos to your Facebook but, has an alternate option of emailing it with a unique email address. Here is the problem, say I have a video 40 sec long, its apparently too big to send and all I get is file exceeds..
how can I increase the "Application Memory" of my BlackBerry 9000(Bold) device?
Whenever I am installing any new app it is consuming the application memory of my device. Can I install the new application on Device Memory which can be expanded I think.
how do i find a list of everything taking up space on my blackberry. im talking about the on-board device memory and not the flash memory, i need more memory to update my OS, and also a list that i'll be able to delete stuff that i dont want
I have a question on the "Memory" usage in BB Bold 9000 that i own. When I install APPS from BB App World, it shows me memory bar and now it has reached to 10 MB FREE (IN RED - which obviously means it is too low.) Questions : 1) Does this mean that I wont be able to install more apps as those 10 MB will exhaust pretty soon? 2) Is there a way to install apps elsewhere if the above is true? I have a 8 GB MicroSD card installed. Would it work normally?
I have an iPhone 5 and its at full capacity. Mostly due to my large music library. I noticed I can increase my iCloud storage to up 50GB with yearly payments. Does this increase the overall storage on the iPhone 5? Essentially, I am trying to increase how much music I can hold on my iPhone. If I add 10 to 20GB of iCloud storage, will I be able to add more data (audio files) to my iPhone?
I buy bold 9000 few months a go from Dubai UAE market, i did not buy the network pattern together i am using my etisalat prepaid card. from begining i am missing someof icons like ( GPS, Memory card not showing also i con not go directly to memory card ) like nokia and other mobile shows etc could you please help me out to know whats problem in my phones.
how can I change the amount of memory reserved just for applications? I remember when I had a curve I could do so, but now on my Torch 9860, I can't find a way.
I have the Bold 9000 but don't have a memory card inserted. As far as I know, I don't have too many programs running. But my Bold has acted up a few times telling me I'm running on low memory. As of now I have:
On initial bootup, after unintalling some apps, I now have 22 MB. Is this a reasonable amount to have a Curve 8330 running 5.0.0.438? I have been told OS 5.0 is really too much for the Curve to handle, so want to make it more manageable, as I don't want to go back to 4.5.According to BlackBerry.com, the 8330 has 96 MB RAM. If I'm coming up with 22 MB at initial bootup, that means 5.0 is using 74 MB. Is that normal?
My name is Ed and I'm a newbie. Please indulge the length of this first post as I have many issues. My goal is to get all my favorite music together to be played on my Storm, which I can also use to play through my home stereo system. So far ,there, the volume is erratic and there is some distortion. I have copied CD's and downloaded MP3s and M4as to my computer. The downloads came zipped and when extracted, I put the folders in an iTunes file and deleted the artwork and was left with the zipped folders, which I put in a separate "downloaded zip files" folder.
(1)Can I delete these zips without losing my music? I installed the original Desktop Mgr with Roxio, didn't like it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled DM with no Media Mgr and downloaded iTunes for the second time. Meantime, I opened Windows Media Player to see what version I had and if I could use it with DM and it automatically retrieved my 700 songs.
(2)Are they hurting anything there being a duplicate of iTunes and if so, how do I get them out? To the biggest problem: I also downloaded the BB Media Sync and when I used it to load my 700 songs to my phone, it did so for 650 of them (4.3GB) but then said I was out of memory so it didn't sync the last 50.The details showed me that I have about 3GB memory left on the phone but it is for pictures.I don't care if my pictures are on there or not, I want to be able to load 8GB of MUSIC.I used help and it said to go into DM, choose options, and reduce the memory allocated to something else, (like pictures).I did so and there was no way to do that. I tried clicking on everything and never saw any way to do what help said.
(3) How do I get DM to allocate all my 8GB available memory to music? I know I can buy a 16GB chip, but I'm afraid it's going to allocate 12GB of it to pictures. Also, and finally, it is showing 700 songs on the sync screen, but it's shaded. When I want to add, say, 10 more songs, how do I get them through the system and ADD to my phone.Does sync automatically not duplicate?I have Windows XP SP3, 9530 through Verizon, and am about a 3 out of 10 computer knowledge wise.I am going to play golf now, which presents, although completely different, an equally challenging activity.
When I enter the Running Services subsection in the default Android Settings menu (in the Applications section), it shows me the amount of used up and free RAM memory in the bottom of the screen. In my case, it reads: 181MB used | 360 MB freehe HTC Desire S specification says it has 768MB RAM so it appears that 227MB of RAM is missing. Is this normal, and does something else use this RAM, and it's notshown on this screen?I am new to the Android platform, so bear with me. By the way, this is not a major concern (for now) the phone functions properly
I have a Bold 9000 with ATT. I have constant low app memory problems. It is almost always under 10MB, and alot of times it is around 1-2MB. Here is a list of apps listed on the "Switch Application" menu: BB App World, Gmail Plugin, Home Screen, Visual VM, BB Messenger, Phone, Messages, Browser. I don't think any of these are the problem. A list of my downloaded Apps are: Atlanta Braves, CBS Sports, Weatherbug, ESPN, AP News, Google Maps, Bible App, Where, CBS Radio, Scoremobile, Stitcher Radio, Facebook, and Poynt. I assume I could get rid of those. Do you think there is too much downloaded? Is there a way to get rid of some of the defaults pre loaded apps such as: MobiTV, Mobile Banking, My Cast Weather, Wikimobile? Could someone point me in the right direction here.
Hey guys, how do I get more application memory? I am down to the red zone, but funny thing is. I have a 4 gb micro sd and 898mb free for device memory. Is there anyway to allocate it somehow?
When I sync my BB to my Mac, it says that there is an update available for my BB, and when I try to update, it keeps saying not enough memory. I deleted all the apps, even the core apps, I wiped my device still no solution!
My application memory always comes down to 5-7 mb within a days usage(after hard re-boot, taking out battery stuff). I have only downloaded FB application and google maps. maps I use occassionaly while FB is always on. I have deleted all games but it doesnt help. Once application memory falls below 10mb handset slows down.
I have a Bold 9000 and trying to update it but don't have enough memory. So it says delete your languages, so I went to Set up, set up wizard and languages but cannot delete all of them.how to delete all of the languages I am not using to gain memory?
I have blackberry bold 9000 with os 5.0.0.822 I only install 2 app in my blackberry but I have 4.3 mb app memory. I wanted to restart my blackberry after restart I got 10mb memory ???? Blackberry bold have 128mb memory but why only 10mb
I wanna know if their is any way of increasing the application memory on an at&t bold 9000. Its hardly 128 mb, and after installing the latest OS 5, I hardly have 15 mb left for apps.I can't even install some required OS upgrades of 35 mb cause of it. And after a few hours of usage the phone starts hanging and I have to do the battery pull thing.I have about 800 mb of my device memory free.
How can I access my Bold's internal memory? Like, where my pictures go after I save them from MMS? As well as the contacts that are saved to my phone...NOT the sim card?
I have had my blackberry for a month now I have only download 3 apps and 2 I deleted but for some reason my application memory keeps getting smaller everyday without me really doing anything. Is there something going on that I don't know about.
I upgraded my OS to an official version 5 around 3 months ago and ever since I did that, my application memory seems to be really crap. Initially I had around 26-30mbs of application memory right after a Quickpull but now I only have around 2-4mb of app memory. It's really frustrating as using my usual apps such as Viigo, Facebook, Msn, Google Maps etc have become a pain and almost impossible to load. And I haven't installed any new applications in case you were wondering.
I have contemplated to downgrade my OS back to version 4 but was wondering if anyone here has encountered this problem and could offer any sort of solution.
