BB Desktop Software :: How To Reduce Amount Of Memory Allocated To Pictures?
Mar 30, 2010My name is Ed and I'm a newbie. Please indulge the length of this first post as I have many issues. My goal is to get all my favorite music together to be played on my Storm, which I can also use to play through my home stereo system. So far ,there, the volume is erratic and there is some distortion.
I have copied CD's and downloaded MP3s and M4as to my computer. The downloads came zipped and when extracted, I put the folders in an iTunes file and deleted the artwork and was left with the zipped folders, which I put in a separate "downloaded zip files" folder.
(1)Can I delete these zips without losing my music? I installed the original Desktop Mgr with Roxio, didn't like it, uninstalled it, and reinstalled DM with no Media Mgr and downloaded iTunes for the second time. Meantime, I opened Windows Media Player to see what version I had and if I could use it with DM and it automatically retrieved my 700 songs.
(2)Are they hurting anything there being a duplicate of iTunes and if so, how do I get them out?
To the biggest problem: I also downloaded the BB Media Sync and when I used it to load my 700 songs to my phone, it did so for 650 of them (4.3GB) but then said I was out of memory so it didn't sync the last 50.The details showed me that I have about 3GB memory left on the phone but it is for pictures.I don't care if my pictures are on there or not, I want to be able to load 8GB of MUSIC.I used help and it said to go into DM, choose options, and reduce the memory allocated to something else, (like pictures).I did so and there was no way to do that. I tried clicking on everything and never saw any way to do what help said.
(3) How do I get DM to allocate all my 8GB available memory to music? I know I can buy a 16GB chip, but I'm afraid it's going to allocate 12GB of it to pictures.Also, and finally, it is showing 700 songs on the sync screen, but it's shaded. When I want to add,say, 10 more songs, how do I get them through the system and ADD to my phone.Does sync automatically not duplicate?I have Windows XP SP3, 9530 through Verizon, and am about a 3 out of 10 computer knowledge wise.I am going to play golf now, which presents, although completely different, an equally challenging activity.
Nokia Pictures/Videos :: 5730 Video Camera Lags With Memory Card?
Dec 18, 2012I have a Nokia 5730, and when I use the video camera to record video, the video stops and starts like every 2 seconds. This problem only occurs when I have the microSD card in the phone because when I take it out and record a video, the video is smooth and does not lag. I have restored the phone to factory settings and this problem still occurs. What should I do? I will try to post clips soon.

Apr 1, 2010On initial bootup, after unintalling some apps, I now have 22 MB. Is this a reasonable amount to have a Curve 8330 running 5.0.0.438? I have been told OS 5.0 is really too much for the Curve to handle, so want to make it more manageable, as I don't want to go back to 4.5.According to BlackBerry.com, the 8330 has 96 MB RAM. If I'm coming up with 22 MB at initial bootup, that means 5.0 is using 74 MB. Is that normal?

Sep 16, 2015I just noticed this on my phone last night and I can't figure it out. My phone has 16 GB of internal memory but when I go to Settings and then Storage, my phone is reporting that my memory is totally consumed and app are using over 20 GB of memory. If I use the "MY Files" app that comes installed on the phone, it show device storage as 10.43/16.00 GB. I don't get any errors when installing new apps or updating old ones.
I have cleaned app cache with 360, cleaned system cache in recovery mode, performed a battery pull and gone to the settings app and cleared data with no result.

Jul 7, 2010Has anyone noticed how bad the video and pictures are on the iphone 4 for low light.It takes a LED light to make ANYTHING not blurry when taking a picture,and for videos in dark areas (ie a club) it is just awful. There was so much noise in the video and no focus whatsoever.I was planning on not taking my point and shoot to parties,but i guess I have to go back,cause the quality is just really awful during the night.Any apps out there to help cure it?The daytime it works wonders though.

Apr 20, 2012Yesterday i had restore my phone due to it crashing. I also couldn't turn it off because my lock button is broken.I was advised to restore it.I used the option keep all media. Apr 25, 2012I had a very large photo library with lots of duplications. I reduced the folders to sync by over 50% and reduced my photo space form about 16GB to 7GB. Now when I open iTunes, its reporting 9.2GB in 'Other' consumed storage.how to recover tha space and what is stored under the other heading? what is a good app to use to locate duplicate photos? my system is reporting over 15,000 photos and I can see there are many duplications, sometimes 3-5 of the smae thing.

Jun 8, 2010I love everything about the new iPhone 4 and its insanely high-res screen considering its size. However, even though they've also bumped the specs, I am worried that the 4x increase in resolution is gonna hinder game performance and thus put the graphical qualities of games at a standstill.I mean anyone who is a PC gamer knows how much the performance of a game can drop - It's like the difference in performance of playing Crysis on 1600x1200 versus 800x600.
I'm curious to see what games will look like, but I have a bad feeling that this could make future iPhone 4 games look even worse graphically. Sure, everything will be crisper, but obviously there is a lot more to a game graphically than resolution.

Oct 8, 2014I just moved from a nexus 5 the S5 and when I plug it in to my PC all the photos are upside down or sideways depending on which way I was holding the phone when I took them. Same with the videos.
Is this normal on a the S5, do i have to get used to this?
The nexus 5 doesn't have this issue, nor did the Samsung Galaxy Nexus before it!
