I have blackberry bold 9000 with os 5.0.0.822 I only install 2 app in my blackberry but I have 4.3 mb app memory. I wanted to restart my blackberry after restart I got 10mb memory ???? Blackberry bold have 128mb memory but why only 10mb
Hey guys, how do I get more application memory? I am down to the red zone, but funny thing is. I have a 4 gb micro sd and 898mb free for device memory. Is there anyway to allocate it somehow?
My application memory always comes down to 5-7 mb within a days usage(after hard re-boot, taking out battery stuff). I have only downloaded FB application and google maps. maps I use occassionaly while FB is always on. I have deleted all games but it doesnt help. Once application memory falls below 10mb handset slows down.
I wanna know if their is any way of increasing the application memory on an at&t bold 9000. Its hardly 128 mb, and after installing the latest OS 5, I hardly have 15 mb left for apps.I can't even install some required OS upgrades of 35 mb cause of it. And after a few hours of usage the phone starts hanging and I have to do the battery pull thing.I have about 800 mb of my device memory free.
I have had my blackberry for a month now I have only download 3 apps and 2 I deleted but for some reason my application memory keeps getting smaller everyday without me really doing anything. Is there something going on that I don't know about.
I upgraded my OS to an official version 5 around 3 months ago and ever since I did that, my application memory seems to be really crap. Initially I had around 26-30mbs of application memory right after a Quickpull but now I only have around 2-4mb of app memory. It's really frustrating as using my usual apps such as Viigo, Facebook, Msn, Google Maps etc have become a pain and almost impossible to load. And I haven't installed any new applications in case you were wondering.
I have contemplated to downgrade my OS back to version 4 but was wondering if anyone here has encountered this problem and could offer any sort of solution.
I recently installed a couple of apps through "App World" and then decided I didn't really like then and deleted them. Before installation a battery pull would get me to 29.5MB after the install/delete a battery pull only gets me 27.0MB. So how do I get the missing memory back?
I have a problem of size with the application memory on a BB Bold 9000. I have almost closed everything, and the memory goes beetween 0.0 ko and 3.1 Mo. This affect the calendar with the past automaticely erased. What can I do to recover the size of 100 Mo.
Signed up to the forum just for help resolving this issue. I'm currently running OS4.6, trying to update to OS5. I know that the 9000 application memory is SO limited that one has to remove all applications before attempting the update.
So here I am, a completely blank BB Bold, no applications, photos, texts, contacts, etc. I still receive the error message on BB DTM that says I need to remove another 3mb of data before I can continue with the update - but there is literally nothing else I can remove. I'm running DTM on a Mac - I hear that may be cause for some problems as well?
The memory for application of my blacberry bold 9000 is decreasing even i didn't download any new apps. I would like to know why. I've asked someone and he told me that maybe some kind of memory leakage. I wonder how can I know which app is spending the memory.
Hi, Guys, I just brought my bb bold...I realize I only got 128 mb to download my application only. But I have a 1GB internal Memory. How come I can't use the 1 GB internal Memory to dl Application instead of the 128mb? (Ps: is this the right Place to ask this question)
My blackberry is going at a snail's pace...no, make that an injured snail's pace! I am at a loss as to why. I have very few downloaded apps: one or two games and a couple of random apps. My actual harddrive space is fine (859MB total/846MB free), but it tells me I have 0.0kb of available application memory. However, I do not have ANYTHING running besides what always runs like "home screen" and "phone" and "browser"...you know, the stuff you can't remove from the Switch Application menu. And it will seem fine but when I do open a program, I get the hourglass every time I click something or scroll.
To give you an idea of how irritating this is, it took me over 20 seconds to unlock the keypad, and another 20-30 seconds before the hourglass went away and I could move my cursor (slowly) to the app I wanted to run. And heaven forbid I run 2 apps at once. Then I've had to wait over 5 minutes for hourglasses to go away. It wasn't always like this. I used to leave all my apps running. I never worried about whether I pressed the EndCall button or closed it from the menu. Could this be caused by one of my apps? If so, how do I find out which one? Ugh I'm so frustrated! If I needed to call 911, I would be dead before I got my keypad unlocked. I'm not exaggerating.
have a BB Bold 9000 which keeps slowing dwon every few days. On checking the application memory, it shows 1MB or 500kb. I was advised to do a battery pull which restores the app memory to 20MB. This again depletes in a few days to less than 1 MB slowing down the phone to a halt. Also recently, my phone screen has started going white and staying that way again requiring a batt pull.
Bought My BlackBerry Bold 9000 7 months ago. It has been working flawlessly except for: The Application memory severely restricts me from downloading the really nice stuff from app world. Besides there seems to be something which saps the Application memory that goes down from 20 MB to as low as 5 MB.The Device does not connect thru bluetooth to my Desktop Software which is downloaded on my Toshiba M200 laptop.
how do i find a list of everything taking up space on my blackberry. im talking about the on-board device memory and not the flash memory, i need more memory to update my OS, and also a list that i'll be able to delete stuff that i dont want
I have a question on the "Memory" usage in BB Bold 9000 that i own. When I install APPS from BB App World, it shows me memory bar and now it has reached to 10 MB FREE (IN RED - which obviously means it is too low.) Questions : 1) Does this mean that I wont be able to install more apps as those 10 MB will exhaust pretty soon? 2) Is there a way to install apps elsewhere if the above is true? I have a 8 GB MicroSD card installed. Would it work normally?
Need help.. What is application memory and device memory? How much application memory and device memory does the 9780 and 9790 has? Can't decide which one is better.

Installed vlingo but later uninstalled. Now there is no "Switch Application" when clicking BB button and scrolling to bottom of list like there use to be? Is there an option for this? I know there are other ways to get to switch application but I would like this option back as well.
I just got a Bold 9000, but canīt find the tasks and notes application? I already update the device with my desktop manager and reset the device, but still donīt see this 2 applications. Also tried the show all option on the home screen and applications folder, but no luck either.
This is my third BlackBerry Bold 9000, and the first time I've had problems downloading the FB app. It says 'Sorry, your device does not meet the systems requirements that are needed to support FB.' I've tried resending service book and removing battery - which did nothing. My Bold is v 4.6.303, platform 4.0.0.248, application memory 61.0MB, Device memory 859.2MB (free space 823.6MB).
I get the above error message when I try to change the alarm time and click on the clock icon. Could someone please tell me how to fix the problem? At the moment I can't change the alarm time or turn it off as I can't get into the application.
Just upgraded my phone to v.5.0.0.592 and noticed that I have this icon called Visual Voice Mail that no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it. Anyone know what's going on and how do I delete it off my phone?
I have a Bold 9000 with ATT. I have constant low app memory problems. It is almost always under 10MB, and alot of times it is around 1-2MB. Here is a list of apps listed on the "Switch Application" menu: BB App World, Gmail Plugin, Home Screen, Visual VM, BB Messenger, Phone, Messages, Browser. I don't think any of these are the problem. A list of my downloaded Apps are: Atlanta Braves, CBS Sports, Weatherbug, ESPN, AP News, Google Maps, Bible App, Where, CBS Radio, Scoremobile, Stitcher Radio, Facebook, and Poynt. I assume I could get rid of those. Do you think there is too much downloaded? Is there a way to get rid of some of the defaults pre loaded apps such as: MobiTV, Mobile Banking, My Cast Weather, Wikimobile? Could someone point me in the right direction here.
