Just upgraded my phone to v.5.0.0.592 and noticed that I have this icon called Visual Voice Mail that no matter what I do, I can't get rid of it. Anyone know what's going on and how do I delete it off my phone?

I just upgraded to the official 5.0 OS from bell and I seem to have lost Visual Voicemail coming from OS 4.6.301. I tried to look at how to re download it but I have not found anything I even connected to DM and tried advance software upgrading/ removing and its not on the list.

Since upgrading, several things are working better than they have in a long while. However, I can't find my visual voicemail. Am I overlooking it, is it unsupported, or is there something I need to install or change to bring it back?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI've read through the forums as best I could, deleted anything that had "vvm" in the /java folder, tried changing the "required" fields from true to false in the .alx file, and yet the visual voice mail is still there on my phone. Here's a screenie of my BBSAK "read system," showing that there is nothing with VVM on my phone, yet visual voice mail is still there, despite several restarts and different fixes. I'm running a T-Mobile Curve 8520 with .592.

When I downloaded it, it was supposed to download it to my memory card, but I cannot find it, and this app wont work. Anybody know how to get it up and running?

I have replace the last 4 digits of my cell phone number with ****. I only use the regular VM and want to stop VVM from running in the background on my 9700 and want to delete it!
i dont use this and i hate it, but i can't uncheck it when i upgrade. i want to remove it completely off my 9700, NOT just the icon.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
I have the 9700 Bold.I was listing to a visual voice mail when I received a call.After the call the visual voice mail message is locked.I can delete it but when I get a new visual voice mail the old one I deleted re appears along with the new one and both are locked.All of this occurs in the email app.I can go to the visual voice mail app. And it works as it should.I tried deleting all voice mails in both apps. but it dose not solve the problem once a new message is left.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from bold 9000 to 9700. I upgraded my OS to version .743. After that, I stopped getting visual voice mail notifications. The message is there when I dial "1", but doesn't show up at all under the VVM menu, nor do I get the visual indication(s). It did work on the AT&T OS out of the box. Second issue with this O.S.- phone does not lock when it is in the holster. I have to believe both these issues are with the .743 version of the OS, but I may be missing something. I've read others with the VVM problem, not none of the threads seem to offer a solution except to say that AT&T WAS having issues with this back in November.

All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
