Guys having a problem with the Visual Voicemail - I set it up last night and this has never been an issue before withthe previous 9700's. now everytime Im on a call and I get the VM notification It drops the call im on.When I try to view the messages I cant even see it in the Message folder?! guess this is the infamous SMS bug?

I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

I have replace the last 4 digits of my cell phone number with ****. I only use the regular VM and want to stop VVM from running in the background on my 9700 and want to delete it!
i dont use this and i hate it, but i can't uncheck it when i upgrade. i want to remove it completely off my 9700, NOT just the icon.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the 9700 Bold.I was listing to a visual voice mail when I received a call.After the call the visual voice mail message is locked.I can delete it but when I get a new visual voice mail the old one I deleted re appears along with the new one and both are locked.All of this occurs in the email app.I can go to the visual voice mail app. And it works as it should.I tried deleting all voice mails in both apps. but it dose not solve the problem once a new message is left.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to set a default volume level when playing a visual voice mail message. When you play a message, the volume is so low that by the time you raise the volume with the side rocker, the message is over and you have to replay it - very annoying!
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from bold 9000 to 9700. I upgraded my OS to version .743. After that, I stopped getting visual voice mail notifications. The message is there when I dial "1", but doesn't show up at all under the VVM menu, nor do I get the visual indication(s). It did work on the AT&T OS out of the box. Second issue with this O.S.- phone does not lock when it is in the holster. I have to believe both these issues are with the .743 version of the OS, but I may be missing something. I've read others with the VVM problem, not none of the threads seem to offer a solution except to say that AT&T WAS having issues with this back in November.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my blackberry a week ago and dropped it for the first time and now it has white lines on it.It's the bold 9700, i can slightly see the screen but there are a lot of white lines which makes it hard to see anything. I can really only see the top of the screen where the volume options are but it appears to be black and white.
It is still working fine the screen is just hard to see. I think it might be a connection problem?Any advice? and do you think RIM will replace it if I send it in? I'm on Rogers and live in Canada

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the 9700 with Tmo in December. Coming from an 8900 I thought it would truly be an "upgrade". Since getting the 9700 i have had more dropped calls, call fail, can not access server etc. The phone will even go into a soft reset mid call, text or email for no reason. I called tmo and the replaced the phone and sim card. it worked well for about a day or two and BAM same crap. I am not so sure its the phone anymore. Some people i talk to say it is TMO service but i have never had this problem before and have been with tmo for 3 yrs.any suggestions /advice?

I just replaced the phone after having the old one "reset" at a Sprint store. The problem was rectified for a while then returned.
