Two weeks back, I bought Nokia Asha 302 and trying to configure mail but I can't. It is showing "checking for mail service updates" for a long time. I tried through GPRS and Wi-Fi same issue.

So I try to add new Windows Live Hotmail account, insert login and password, but after that the system said that I inserted incorrect login or password.
I thought that Mail application can't see special symbols (#,!,...), but I have such problem for password with only small letters and digits.
My Nokia Asha Mail app is not working and I have not checked my mail in days!
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has Asha 302 with firmware version 14.53 (no new updates available in Nokia Suite.) and she cannot access her email as the application crashes with the following error message. Sometimes she manages to see her email accounts but usually the crash happens as the selection screen for WLAN etc. shows. Resetting the settings didn't help and I've been very hesitant to wipe the phone completely as I don't trust that she can restore her messages etc. from Nokia Suite.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia e51 and I've tried to configure MfE on it the same way it works on my other Nokia phone (5230), but although the settings are exactly the same, I keep on receiving "System Error" while synchronizing the email (it looks like this translated from Polish I click 'synchronize' it says 'connected' 'synchronizing email' 'sync failed. Contact your administrator if the problem persists'). The email account is Gmail. My settings:

Access point: (no matter if I set WiFi or WAP or Internet - it doesn't change anything)

Everything is as the setup instructions for MfE at Google Support says and , as I said, it works perfectly on Nokia 5230. The log says: "System error, try again later"
The funy part is that I've tried using two different e-mail accounts: they both display that error but the one that works on my other Nokia apparently downloaded the mail (although it still shows errors everywhere, even the log says it didn't work). The MfE is the most current, I've downloaded it from Ovi store today (3.00.050), my Nokia software is updated too (410.34.001).
I have purchased E72 on or around 15th Jan., 2010 from one of the Nokia Dealers in Indraprasth Shopping Center, Borivali, Mumbai. I found one man in his shop wearing a Nokia Shirt and after I bought this mobile, he set up the e-mail configuration using his sim card as his was of Airtel and Mine was MTNL. After that day I stayed in Mumbai for only 2 days and never used any of the email services. When I reached my office overseas, I tried to access the emails on my phone but it would hang and I would have to restart it again. Thinking there is a virus, I downloaded the F-secure Anti-virus from the Ovi Store. But it became worse. It stopped the Java applications on the phone.So, I uninstalled the Anti Virus and tried the email. But in vain.Then I was asked by one of the engineers at my service provider to remove the mailboxes and re-configure them. I did remove the mailboxes and since then - now 3 months.I have not been able to configure my mailboxes on my E72 again.
I went to the Nokia Priority Dealer - Foneman in Mangal Kunj, S. V. Road, Borivali -W, and they failed to configure it and sent me for software upgrade to Nokia Care, Near Railway Station in Borivali - W.They upgraded the software as they claim and tried to configure my email IDs. But they have failed too.Yet when they open their IDs on my E72, they open.What is the problem and how can I sort it out.I want my Gmail and Yahoo IDs functioning on this device.Or else, this device is of no use to me.I am very much disappointed with the Nokia Service which I have received from the Priority Dealer and Nokia Care.Is it because I bought the phone from a dealer and not a Nokia Priority Shop?Those so called promoters at the Priority Shops are incompetent and in the process of configuring my mail IDs on my E72, he went and terminated my Ovi Mail ID. Now I have signed up with another ovi ID and it has started working on the E72.This means there is some technical problem which is stopping the configuration of the other email clients.
I have recently upgraded to a C6, but I don't seem to be able to get caller ID by name, I only get the number showing. I think I have been through every menu and sub menu

My usage isn't that much, yes I do chat on whtsapp and I know it does take up some of ur battery usage but then I have to keep it for charging twice a day. Never heard or had an experience with NOKIA handsets using up so much of battery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI discovered the other day I still have messages on my old Nokia 1100 phone. At first I thought ok, just put in a sim and copy them across. But the 1100 doesn't have this option. Since this handset is locked, I can't put in a sim and forward them either. It's odd the phone has internal memory but won't let you copy/move or do anything with the messages.
I've looked online for a data cable for the 1100. Maybe if I connect it to a computer I can extract or copy them then? I want to get these messages on my new phone with all the original details (dates, numbers etc.) intact. My googling so far for a data cable only brings up other nokia cables where the seller has just added the 1100 model number, but it clearly isn't the right cable for this phone.

After using them for 3days (8 hour shifts) GPS started to fail - the GPS icon just disappears and GPS itself does not send any new data. Some of the phones recover after a full restart others don't.I have called Nokia support and according to them if the GPS icon is missing the phone is defect.We have already replaced 30 phones under warranty, but each day new ones are affected by this issue. I suspected there might be some energy saving feature (although most users have the car charger connected all the time) or other option which turns off the GPS, but again Nokia support says no. Does anybody know how to resolve this issue or are the phones just not built for 8hour GPS standby?

All I could find was just either set the default SIM for calls or ask every time which card to use. I have SIM where I can make free calls to particular numbers and second SIM for all other calls/sms/data and I don't want to select every time which SIM to use when making a call.
