Asha 30/40 Series :: Asha 302 Security Option - Auto-keylock With Code?
Sep 7, 2012
know if the Asha 302 auto keylock feature have the option to ask for a security code to unlock?( I am considering the Asha 302 to replace the C3-00 which does not have this option. My old ( low cost) 1616 has this security feature.)
I purchased a genuine Nokia 5610 XpressMusic slide phone quite a few months ago during a trip to China. The phone worked (and is still working) perfectly well. However, several weeks back I took out the phone battery and when I replaced it all of my contacts (JUST contacts) saved in the PHONE MEMORY were missing/deleted. I was only left with what remained on my SIM card. I went to Menu>settings >security >security level >memory to try fix it, then discovered that the PHONE MEMORY was now locked and its contents protected by a security code. I certainly did NOT set any security code on my phone (I only use a PIN code to access my phone - it works fine) and now, although my phone is fully functional, I can no longer save any more contacts to my phone (because the SIM card is full and the phone memory is blocked).I've used security code generators and also the typical 1234, 12345, 0000, 4444, etc - but NONE of them work.
I have just bought a new Nokia Asha 200.I need to put a phone security password, but the user guide only instructs how to change the password, but I can not find anything about enabling it.I also tried to find all the options in the security settings but could not find the answer.
This is Krishna from India and I am using Nokia5233.. I downloaded KasperSky Mobile Security from OVI apps. and installed in my phone. and now i want to remove this app but it si asking code for uninstall, i dont knw about the code.
This applies to mulitple phone like the 3720 Classic Outdoor and the N97 mini.
Why can I not change my lock code in a 4-digit code? Why is it so important to make it a minimum 5 digit code? I find it very strange and I would like to know the reason.
Is it possible with the next firmwareversion to make this a optional requirement in preferences?
I had to try hard reset my nokia 5530 after resetting with the code *#7370#, its not even starting properly and showing the errors sometimes like popupclock: already in use.
I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.

I am updating my 5230 from software v.40.0.003 to v.50.0.001, via Ovi suite (latest version 3.1.1.78).My XP SP3 Computer tells me to restart to finish the update time after time, without the phone update being successful (I remain with older phone software version 40.0.003).After a while computer gives Nokia error code 17011and recommends to reinstall Ovi Suite.I have already installed newest OVI suite, and have also tried with the Nokia Software updater.No success however.
tell me if I can have the telephone area code visible on the main screen on a Nokia Asha 300.Previous Nokia's I have owned have allowed me to do this but I can't seem to find If I can or how to do it on this one.
On my Asha 302 the bottom half of the keyboard is hardly lit up and difficult to see. Only the top 2 rows are appropriately lit up, the bottom 2 rows are almost dark. Is this a general design flaw or an issue with my phone.
Is it possible to use the contact sync with the Asha phones (302, 303, 200, 201, 300, etc.)? I am unable to see the option and under synchronisation and backup I am being asked to enter server details etc. which I don't have. On my other Nokia phones (S60 or S^3) they all have a Contact Sync functionality.
where I can find the setting to not save text or MMS messages on this phone? On my old 6303 it could be found at Menu--->Messaging---->Message Settings--->General Settings--->Save sent messages Yes/No This option does not appear to be present on this model. I have had phone re-flashed to the latest generic firmware, 07.10, so it is not a software issue (or so I think).
So I recently got a light set for my everyday use, it's the Nokia 101 with 6.65FW installed...
Now I'm confused as I cannot find the "SUMMARY AFTER CALL" option anywhere on the phone ! For those who don't know what it is, it shows how long was the call made, in other words the call's duration after the call has been ended.
Does anyone else see the option on their sets? Also I cannot see lifetimer when I dial *#92702689#
