Asha 30/40 Series :: Sync Contacts With Ovi For Asha Phone?
May 12, 2012
Is it possible to use the contact sync with the Asha phones (302, 303, 200, 201, 300, etc.)? I am unable to see the option and under synchronisation and backup I am being asked to enter server details etc. which I don't have.
On my other Nokia phones (S60 or S^3) they all have a Contact Sync functionality.
it possible to get a Series 40 (S40) handset, such as 6100 or 6700, to automatically sync over the air to cloud services such as Google? I know there are many ways to do this with S60 Symbian handsets (Mail for Exchange, various 3rd party apps) but not sure on the S40?
I tried to sync Ash 311 with my gmail contacts two different ways with identical results. The software looks like it is busy syncing contacts, but when I check a contact I recently edited in gmail contacts, Asha 311 still displays the old phone number.
This is the first way I performed the update: Main menu > Settings > sync and backup > sync with server > sync settings > synchronized data > contacts > sync settings: Google sync > automatic sync: off > rules for incoming: Confirm firstMain menu > Settings > sync and backup > sync with server > sync now
This is the second way I performed the update:Nokia Suite > Sync > Sync Now > Contacts ... Your contacts are now in sync
know if the Asha 302 auto keylock feature have the option to ask for a security code to unlock?( I am considering the Asha 302 to replace the C3-00 which does not have this option. My old ( low cost) 1616 has this security feature.)
I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
i recently saw an upgrade for asha 200 when i try to up grade it , the suit stops working?Join my movement to bring a change in NOKIA for good by supporting my [URL]
On my Asha 302 the bottom half of the keyboard is hardly lit up and difficult to see. Only the top 2 rows are appropriately lit up, the bottom 2 rows are almost dark. Is this a general design flaw or an issue with my phone.
The phone only shows both contacts that are in the phone and the ones in SIM. I can't remove the SIM ones one by one... Do I have to put SIM card in another phone and erase contacts in SIM or is there any other way. I couldn't find it anywhere in options.
My phone doesn't stay in G3 connection for the most part of the day. There's neither G nor H on the screeb or there's only G with no white box. The connection stays on for some minutes at highest. Right now there's no letter on the screen. This is extrmely rustrating! I can't access the net or send whatsapp messages
I had synced all the contacts before updaing phone software. Now if i try to sync back my contacts from ovi server, it says Incorrect password try again. I even tried password reset but to no avail.
I have a Nokia 2330 but the screen recently broke. All I can see now is roughly the top third of the screen. Obviously I need a new phone but unfortunately my contacts are saved to the phone, not the sim. Could somebody please spell out how to move all contacts from phone memory to Sim memory, bearing in mind that I basically can't read what's on the screen. In other words, if I have to scroll down, please say how many times I have to press down and so on.
SIM card has limited space for saving contacts. Can anyone who has the knowledge or experience, please advice how to save contacts into SD Card. From past experience of nokia phone breakdowns, it is best not to save contacts in the phone memory. When it breaks down, contacts are normally not recoverable
Ever since I downloaded an update my phone will not "create a secure connection". Tries but is unable to.I'm no phone/software genius so can someone please explain VERY CLEARLY what I need to do.
My wife just got a MBZ C250. We were able to pair her Nokia 6350 and my iphone to the cars bluetooth. I was also able to transfer the contacts from the iphone but not the Nokia's. In looking at the bluetooth compatible phones on the Mercedes Bluetooth site I noticed that there are no Nokia phones listed for this car model. For some reason her phone works well in the hands free mode in the car but she obviously would like to be able to access her contacts. My question is this, is there any way we can transfer her contacts to the cars bluetooth? If not, is there any way both phones can share my iphone address book since we have exactly the same contacts?
Is there a way on a Nokia 6500C phone to transfer the messages and contacts to an Android based phone? I have been hearing that you can use Vcard, but unfotunatelly this phone has no export function. Ovi Suite doesn't help and just plugging in the USB cable to the phone without using Ovi Suite does not list contacts in the file list. And this phone has no memory card either so I cannot transfer the contents to the card either.
I bought a nokia 300 because I can't use my smartphone at work, I have downloaded Nokia PC suite and transferred my data from my faithful but dying E51.....I uploaded the data onto the Asha 300 and it was apparently successful according to PC suite, the phone says it has all 670 contacts, but I can't access any. The sim only holds 200
J2ME language havn't capability for manage messages or contacts,How to manage messages and contacts in JAVA cell phone? There is another language or method?
On default, contacts are stored in telephone (not sd card or sim card), so is it possible to somehow recover a deleted contact? there's at least a slight chance... I know that phone memory doesn't use Fat32 File system, then which one does it use? The one that doesn't have a possibility of recovering
Okay so I am interested in a 3G phone but I am not interested in paying $30 a month for 3G service. I don't need 3G service and I would be fine without it. The phone would have been free anyway because of buying another phone, so $360 for the first year of 3G just isn't worth it.
there used to be a nokia which had a special feature where you could have entered a message and afterwards you had to shake the phone and some (i think red) leds wer displaying the message in the "air".
I've tried recently to move back on my old phone, Nokia 6131. After I've synced contacts, i've got strange behavior. I've got contacts written on english and on russian. When I'm entering Names from menu, english ones are ok, but russian contacts displays as only first 5 symbols and then "...". When I enter contact - it displays everything normal.
