I have just bought a new Nokia Asha 200.I need to put a phone security password, but the user guide only instructs how to change the password, but I can not find anything about enabling it.I also tried to find all the options in the security settings but could not find the answer.
I am trying to set an appointment in my calendar to repeat weekly on every Tuesday. I have checked and re-checked the dates and day that it falls upon adn they are correct. However I repeatedly recieve this message "invalid repeat interval".
I have tried to format or reset my Nokia N81 for some time now. I have tried the 3 button stuff and all the other stuff posted online but couldn't work because I still need to get pass the lock code, which I have forgotten.
So I did a hard reset and I knew that I'll lose the Ovi Store. What it's completely new for me is that now each time I'm starting the phone I am requested to input the lock code. I have given 12345 but a message saying "Code fail" is shown and afterwards the phone works normally.1. Does anybody know why12345 is not working anymore?2. Does anybody know how could I remove this request at startup?3. Does anybody know why the phone does react if I am inputting an incorrect code only with a message "Code fail" - I would have expected a lock after multiple inputs but everything is OK.4. Does anybody know how can I change this code? - without flashing it at Nokia Service Center (just too far from me). I'm curious if 10000 tries would bring something alhough I am not interested in such a test
I purchased a genuine Nokia 5610 XpressMusic slide phone quite a few months ago during a trip to China. The phone worked (and is still working) perfectly well. However, several weeks back I took out the phone battery and when I replaced it all of my contacts (JUST contacts) saved in the PHONE MEMORY were missing/deleted. I was only left with what remained on my SIM card. I went to Menu>settings >security >security level >memory to try fix it, then discovered that the PHONE MEMORY was now locked and its contents protected by a security code. I certainly did NOT set any security code on my phone (I only use a PIN code to access my phone - it works fine) and now, although my phone is fully functional, I can no longer save any more contacts to my phone (because the SIM card is full and the phone memory is blocked).I've used security code generators and also the typical 1234, 12345, 0000, 4444, etc - but NONE of them work.
I am updating my 5230 from software v.40.0.003 to v.50.0.001, via Ovi suite (latest version 126.96.36.199).My XP SP3 Computer tells me to restart to finish the update time after time, without the phone update being successful (I remain with older phone software version 40.0.003).After a while computer gives Nokia error code 17011and recommends to reinstall Ovi Suite.I have already installed newest OVI suite, and have also tried with the Nokia Software updater. No success however.
