i recently just bought 3gs and i am having troubles with imessage. when i send a text you my friends instead of it coming up with my number it comes up with my email. so they recieve a txt saying from...( email ) not from...( mobile number ) how can i change that ?

I just bought the iphone 4s, as did my boyfriend. Both of us have no problem texting other people via imessage and text, but when we try to imessage one another, it comes up with two different windows. I checked the "Receive at" portion of the imessage settings, and although we both have our phone number linked to our apple id, it only shows up with email address. No Caller ID option, or phone number. The "remove email address" portion is also greyed out, and where my imessage is turned on, it says "waiting for activation." I checked with my apple id, and the email address is verified.

How do u change the registered phone number on iMessage on iPhone? It still shows old number even after a reset and the number is grayed out. Sometimes when I text another person who has an iPhone the text message switches from iMessage to a regular text message -- from a "blue" message to a "green" one (if you know what I mean).
