I am not able to see the contact names on all incoming and outgoing calls.I am also using the paid program / application Advanced Call Manger.Does this have any solutions?
View 3 RepliesNormally, when somebody calls you, you can see the name and telephonenumber (when this someone is in your contactlist) in the screen of your phone. A couple of days ago (nothing strange happened) this suddenly changed and now I can only see the number of the caller and not the name, which I find quite annoying.

Some people numbers saved in adress book when calling to me I see, their name, but most of saved names and numbers in adress/sim book, don't show name, only number, like they aren't saved in phone book. The same thing is with sms receiving. Phone is 10 days old.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been transferring some favourite ringtones onto my E6. Now when you personalise a profile and go to select a ringtone, you are given some location options, Download sound clips, tones, songs and sound clips.
The ringtones aren't songs so I'm not saving them with my music otherwise the media player will just treat them as music. So that rules out "songs" Tones seems to be a system folder in which the standard ringtones are saved and to which the user is not allowed to even see, never mind access.
So I decided I'll manually save my ringtones in the "sound clips" folder. I have tried saving my ringtones into the folder called "sound clips" which appears on all three drives, the phone memory, mass memory and memory card yet still nothing appears in "sound clips" selection when attempting to select a ringtone.
I hope I'm not missing something obvious here but does anyone know where the "sound clips" folder used by the ringtone selector is actually located?
As an aside, have you noticed when you browse the folders of the E6 using the built in file manager and then do the same from your PC via a USB connection, some of the folders have completely different names. Hardly logical or intuitive and it makes life difficult for numb nuts here trying to find his ringtones.
With previous Nokia phones I have been able to create names against phone numbers, necessary when I may have 6 or more phone numbers for one contact.
It seems impossible to do this with the E7-00, so I now have a list of phone numbers per contact and no way of telling the difference between each number.
after I updated my Nokia E6 to the recent software, it doesnt show the callers names when receiving a call and when receiving an sms. I have to save the same number twice, once with international prefix example +963 (thats for my home country) and once without. When receiving calls it show the name only if saved without the prefix (unless its an international call) and when receiving sms it shows the name only when its saved with the international prefix. I didnt have that problem before the update!

I am having problems with gprs in my e71x. It used to work fine earlier but now when on using the web browser it just shows wifi under the internet destinations.I have gprs configured as an accesspoint inside internet destination and it worked great earlier but now for some reason it is no more visible to any apps.I tried restoring the phone to factory settings, reformatted it and even reflashed the 3.78 firmware but couldn't fix the problem.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen i receive an sms it only shows the number that send it, but that number is in my contactlist. I would expect that it would show the contact name. All sms message so far show only the number, except from 1 person. But i cannot figure out why it is not matching up the rest. I tried different phonenumber possibilities to put in the contact: I tried: erasing the contact, and add it via the sms menu option(add to contacts) erasing all sim contact to have no duplicates. upgrading to the latest firmware version. rebooting the phone,remove battery,add batterij, restart but nothing seem to fix the issue. Another symptom is that when sending an sms to a person it shows the contact list name in the sent items, but when that person replies the inbox shows again only the number.

That functionality is gone now, and I can't seem to find where to re-enable it..
My new Nokia E5 Contact List cannot be displayed. I have imported my contacts from my old Nokia 3120 classic unit successfully. The list does not open from any options or anything else.It does not even appear and open with empty contacts.After trying to open the shortcut or the Contacts menu the screen clears and returns to the previous page.

I've done a power cycle, soft reset and updated the phone firmware/software.
Is it possible to see the company name in the contact list. I have the same first name for a lot of people but it helps to have the company name just next to it in smaller font? on the contact list screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my mom a new E72. One thing that has us stumped is how to insert a phone number from your contacts into the body of an SMS. Pretty much every phone I have ever used has an option to "insert contact" so that you can select a number from your addressbook and insert it into the body of the SMS. I have been unable to find this option in the E72. The only way I have managed to do it is in a very round about manner involving multitasking, going and opening the contact book, then finding the number, copying it, and then pasting it back in the text of the SMS. Is this the only way to do what I want or am I missing something obvious? I can't believe that such a basic functionality would have been left out of a "smart" phone ?

A few days ago it also had problems to start up: I pressed "on" button untill it vibrates (then it normally starts up) but it didn't do anything, after some tries (around 15) it did start up. Then today the phone just shutted down and wasn't able to start up. And I get the message in the title.I have tried hard reset (shift, space, backspace + on) but it doesn't do anything.I have the newest firmware for my country (Belgium) and i think its 92.003 but not entirely sure.

I'm unable to access contacts menu from menu>contacts or from button which i had assignet contacts menu. When i select contacts it only only the menu name "contacts" appears on top for 1 second and is returning to initial menu.
