Why would SMS messages sent directly from a BB Curve on the Verizon network to my Storm 2 be delivered to my BB Messenger IM client as a Chat immediately, and then a number of minutes later the same SMS (from Curve) is sent to my SMS client (Storm 2).
Strictly for bb messenger use how many MB or KB would I be approximately using a month if I were to use it everyday...just a number so I can have an idea.
I have a saved conversation with a friend. I emailed it from my phone to my personal computer. The message appears as it does on the phone, only listing mine and the sender's first names. Is there any way to get the sender's first and last name to appear when I email the message to my computer? I'm trying to use it as evidence of something and need the message to specify the sender's first and last name.
In my world, whatsApp Messenger says its installed and an upgrade is available. 24 MB are free it shows.when i hit upgrade from 2.0.1826.424 to 2.1.1955.124, i get an error:'WhatsApp Messenger is not available for download from App World'.
What does this error mean?I downloaded this app a few weeks ago, using appworld & paypal was used. it has been working fine ...why cant i upgrade?I contaced WhatsApp support, and they said that its an AppWorld / PayPal issue.
I have blackberry 9530 with OS 5.0.0.328. When I tried to login to yahoo messenger with my yahoo id. it say "Invalid Yahoo! ID or Password" then I try on my computer and I can log in, so there's nothing wrong with my ID and Password. Then I try another Messenger application like Windows Live and Google Talk but they said similar sentences. After all of that I try to add my email at setup/email settings but still I can't add my email too using my blackberry. oh ya! i try to log in with my browser on my blackberry too but I still can't login. Then I ask my friend and try to log in using my friend e-mail, my friend can login without any problem. After that I have initiative to make a new email and I did but when I log in using my blackberry I can't.
So this is my mother's storm. It is using the Verizon 5.0 version 328. I recently uninstalled BB Messenger and installed google talk. Now when I click on the sms icon I receive that java error message. I can send sms messages using the address book, but cannot view any incoming sms messages. A battery pull did not help.
- Messages are not delivered (or they are delivered hours later)
- I sometimes don't receive messages (or I receive them hours later)
- I type in blue (so I think it's an iMessage) but then when I send it turns green.
You can't imagine the consequences of this and how it affected my relation with my girlfriend !!I switched it off and I don't care to find a solution (the same with iCloud).
I am using the Blackberry Storm, I believe the 9530 (its the first gen). Anyway, just recently my text messages only stay for a couple of days and then they delete themselves or simpley disappear.
There have been numerous cases where I need the information someone sent me in those messages, but I can't seem to find them. Is there something wrong with how the phone is set up? Is this a memory thing? Is there a way to get those messages back, are they stored somewhere?
I have some PIN messages that won't delete. I can (and have) deleted earlier and later than the ones that won't delete. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to get rid of those PIN messages?
BTW...on a Storm 2 (9500) with Telus Mobility (Canada) as provider...

I have one contact in my address book that is acting stangely. When he (and it seems only he) sends me an SMS, his first (and only his first) shows up under the name of another contact in my list. After my response, if I am able to figure out it is him, everything then seems to work normally until he starts a new sms conversation sometime later. This has only started since updating my OS earlier in the week. As you can immagine this could lead to some serious confusion.
Why does my Storm not keep old SMS messages? Why does it not warn me that they get deleted? Why is there no noticeable way to manage the goddamn 1GB of onboard memory so that this DOES NOT HAPPEN? It's unbelievably ridiculous, as opposed to e-mails there is NO backup for SMSes, which can often be quite personal and irreplaceable. Is there any way I can get them back? NO phone has ever done this before! Windows Mobile, PalmOS, Symbian ALL keep ALL messages, even a 10$ Nokia would tell you the memory is full without deleting anything!!
I can't seem to send text messages (but i can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that i need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." but "service center" does not appear when i go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do i find this?
Ever since my phone did a software update I can no longer send video messages unless I send them via bluetooth. The option to send the SMS or MMS was removed. Any ideas on how to reinstate this?...
For some reason whenever I set my phone to any sound setting with sounds (not silent/vibrate) my phone won't make any sounds when I receive messages or calls. I use Normal sound setting and I have everything set to specific sounds but when I click "Try it" it does everything I set except for make noise. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my phone or what?
I just updated my Storm to OS 5 using Desktop Manager and it backed up and restored everything except my existing MMS messages. Is there any way I can get these back? Can I find out if they are just not displaying somehow or if Desktop Manager backed them up and just didn't restore them?
alright so i have threaded messaging on my storm 9530 and i was looking at one of my txt convos and scrolling up and it was getting kind of complicated cause i was trying to access a message from about two weeks ago but i txt so much after about 5 minutes i was only up to maybe 3 days ago. Is there a way i can organize my txts like bbm has it where its in a folder marked person and followed by date ? this would make my life so much easier.
Is there anyway to group all text messages from one person so you don't see all of them in your inbox? You just choose one and can view the whole conversation from there?
I am currently reciving two notifications in my "messages" folder when reciving one email.I get one email from Old Navy in my gmail or my me email and in the email folder it shows one. When I look in the "messages" section there are two.
When I delete the duplicate message notifcation it just says "delete" and the first one notifcation it says "on mailbox & handheld" or "on handheld"
I have a symbol I can't identify next to one of my text message conversations. It looks like a tiny cell phone. The symbol appeared when I texted a friend who recently moved to China. He still has his same American Blackberry but no data plan, hence no BMMing, but his messages still appear in my BBM chat list with the same symbol. The conversation shows up under in my text messages like it normally would as well. What does this symbol mean? Does it have anything to do with him leaving the country/deactivating his data plan?
I will be texting someone and all of a sudden when a message comes in it wont let me open it. I can highlight it but cant open. But its only for one person...I can open other messages other than this one.To open the message, I have to go to New SMS--- To: (their name)---OK. as if Im sending a completely new message to them. And when it does open their message from this point, the area is blank. theres just the arrow pointing by what they said, cant see anything else.Any ideas? Batt pull does not work, and Im running the latest OS for Storm.I have uninstalled and re installed the os 3 times.
I recently purchased an unlocked Verizon Storm2 9550 from the U.S. I am located in Canada and my carrier is Rogers.
When I got my phone, I took out the SIM card that was in it from the oriinal owner and inserted a Rogers SIM card that I have been using on a number of older Blackberries for about 7 years now. The SIM card series is 8930 2720 3040 3168 7436.
My new 9550 was configured for use on our enterprise server at work. When it works, it's a pleasure. However it is prone to frequent freezing issues - not complete freezing but, rather, the screen doesn't seem to fully click, I lose scrolling through messages functionality, I can never stay within an email. It's really a hodge-podge which is annoying enough that I have to do a battery-removal reboot. (Incidentally, is it normal that it takes about 3 minutes for the unit to reboot?)
Here are my questions:
1) Does anyone know how to resolve the annoying and persistent freezing? 2) Might the freezing relate to the old SIM card? Is there any preferred SIM card that I should be lookingn for? 3) Is there any chance that I could get 3G to work? Right now, only 2G works. 4) Might it be an OS problem? Here are the details that show up :
My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
I recently updated the software on my Blackberry Storm 9500 to version 5.0 and now i cannot send mms (though I can still receive mms).I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with my carrier (Vodafone) and they have no idea why I can no longer send mms. I tried downgrading the software and found I could send mms again. Is there any way of fixing it so i can have the newest version of software on my Blackberry and still be able to send mms?
I received an email on my Blackberry Storm 9530 that stated emails were not being delivered to my email address, and then gave me instructions to "validate my password". I went to my email settings on My Blackberry and put in what I thought was the password, but that failed. I tried a couple of others, but those failed also. Then I went to the Blackberry Internet Service website and reset my password there, but it still did not work. I noticed when I went to "Account Details" on the Blackberry website, the password was only 10 characters long, nothing close to any passwords that I might have used. I have Verizon Wireless, but should maybe mention that my email address has been supported by AT & T U-Verse for the last few years, and one month ago I cancelled U-Verse internet and went with someone else. When I delete e-mails on my Blacberry, they do not delete on my computer email
