Ever since my phone did a software update I can no longer send video messages unless I send them via bluetooth. The option to send the SMS or MMS was removed. Any ideas on how to reinstate this?...

I can't seem to send text messages (but i can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that i need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." but "service center" does not appear when i go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do i find this?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently updated the software on my Blackberry Storm 9500 to version 5.0 and now i cannot send mms (though I can still receive mms).I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with my carrier (Vodafone) and they have no idea why I can no longer send mms. I tried downgrading the software and found I could send mms again.Is there any way of fixing it so i can have the newest version of software on my Blackberry and still be able to send mms?
View 20 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with video playback on my Storm. I put movies on that I have used and have worked before, and now will not. When I play movie it gets the green loading alert in corner then starts to play the audio only with no video. I am on .419 shrunk, is it possible it removed something to play video. My recorded movie from camera do playback.

Yesterday added Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.4.17 to the phone, which previously had been provisioned by Verizon directly (connected to our exchange server). Email comes in just fine, but if I wish to either reply or forward the message, at the very top of the message, there is a note that states: "Send Using" and next to that is a button that shows "Desktop v" (the v is a down arrow). I am unable to change the Desktop button to my email account.

View 6 Replies View Relatedthis is an unlocked unit from verizon now being used with at&t.when i surf the net thru wi-fi, the embedded video in the website (i.e. yahoo news) would not play. same with Internet, no video would play. the screen would go black and display a video error message.
i know about flash not being supported but isn't there any option at all to play web videos?all my mpeg4 video files saved in the micro sd card, they all play ok.

There have been numerous cases where I need the information someone sent me in those messages, but I can't seem to find them. Is there something wrong with how the phone is set up? Is this a memory thing? Is there a way to get those messages back, are they stored somewhere?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOI purchased my storm 9500 version 4.7.0.167 about a year ago. Platform 4.0.0.205. The videos played back really well until I received a video from my friends LG handset via bluetooth. I don't know if that was the actual cause but that is when the problem started. Everytime I make a video it will either refuse to play with a message saying "error occured while playing media" or the video will play without sound then the sound will follow. Playback of the videos is shaky and unstable. Only mms videos play well but even they are starting to act up. What could b the problem. I have tried rebooting 2 no avail.

At the same time Verizon dropped Yahoo as their e-mail server.I went into BIS and made the incoming and outgoing changes. It took and I resent a service book.I haven't been able to receive e-mail since. I can send e-mail but not receive.I've done a wipe and everything else I can think of. Any ideas?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my bb storm to 5.0.0.451, after doing so i discovered that when composing a new email I could not send it.The send option in the menu is missing and the send button at the top right corner of the screen is unresponsive.
Strangely though the send option is still available when replying to emails,it is only when I compose a new email that it is missing and I can only save it as a draft.I have tried upgrading to 5.0.0.841 and downgrading to 4.7.0.181, security wiping and clearing the service books and resending them but it still wont let me send an email.And right now I cant even download any other firmware using the desktop manager as it seems to have ground to a halt.
I had the Facebook application installed and I removed it because I found the mobile site easier to use. Since I unistalled the application the default "Send Using" when I make a new appointment is Facebook. I was having to change it to my regular email everytime I created a new appointment. I was able to change my default back to my email but I'm wondering if there is a way to remove Facebook from the options completely. I expected it to go away when I uninstalled the application. Can anyone please assist me?

I have one contact in my address book that is acting stangely. When he (and it seems only he) sends me an SMS, his first (and only his first) shows up under the name of another contact in my list. After my response, if I am able to figure out it is him, everything then seems to work normally until he starts a new sms conversation sometime later. This has only started since updating my OS earlier in the week. As you can immagine this could lead to some serious confusion.
I have an issue with my Gmail. I recently updated to 5.0.0.328. I can receive emails just fine. However, I can only send emails to contacts with a saved email address or reply to emails that have come to my inbox. for example, I receive an email from a friend, I can reply just fine. If I type that email in the "To" field, the envelope icon to send the message is grayed out. I resent service books, per another thread, but to no avail.

Why is there no noticeable way to manage the goddamn 1GB of onboard memory so that this DOES NOT HAPPEN? It's unbelievably ridiculous, as opposed to e-mails there is NO backup for SMSes, which can often be quite personal and irreplaceable.Is there any way I can get them back? NO phone has ever done this before! Windows Mobile, PalmOS, Symbian ALL keep ALL messages, even a 10$ Nokia would tell you the memory is full without deleting anything!!
View 14 Replies View RelatedFor some reason whenever I set my phone to any sound setting with sounds (not silent/vibrate) my phone won't make any sounds when I receive messages or calls. I use Normal sound setting and I have everything set to specific sounds but when I click "Try it" it does everything I set except for make noise. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my phone or what?

Is there a way i can organize my txts like bbm has it where its in a folder marked person and followed by date ? this would make my life so much easier.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently reciving two notifications in my "messages" folder when reciving one email.I get one email from Old Navy in my gmail or my me email and in the email folder it shows one. When I look in the "messages" section there are two.
When I delete the duplicate message notifcation it just says "delete" and the first one notifcation it says "on mailbox & handheld" or "on handheld"
