Jan 25, 2010I'm having trouble with video playback on my Storm. I put movies on that I have used and have worked before, and now will not. When I play movie it gets the green loading alert in corner then starts to play the audio only with no video. I am on .419 shrunk, is it possible it removed something to play video. My recorded movie from camera do playback.

May 9, 2010this is an unlocked unit from verizon now being used with at&t.when i surf the net thru wi-fi, the embedded video in the website (i.e. yahoo news) would not play. same with Internet, no video would play. the screen would go black and display a video error message.
i know about flash not being supported but isn't there any option at all to play web videos?all my mpeg4 video files saved in the micro sd card, they all play ok.

Apr 2, 2010My Storm is unreliable as it periodically crashes to a white screen with something like "JVM Error 102r", I returned it to vodafone and it was sent away and returned with the latest software installed.However the samecrash keeps occuring, rather than sending it away for 1 - 2 weeks for a software reinstall I do it myself from the Blackberry Desktop Manager, this is a pain and an inconvinience but I have to live with it untill my contract ends and I can leave blackberry for ever.
My more immediate problem is that my home PC crashed and while I was setting up my new home PC my Blackberry also crashed. I downloaded and installed the latest Desktop Manager on to the new PC but I was unable to install and update my Blackberry to V5 software the reason being a connection error "cant connect you may need to enter a password"
I installed an older version of Desktop Manager which gives me access to v4.7 which installed successfuly however, and this is my pressing issue, I can not restore from my back up files (either the backup.ipd files or via the backup cab files) the reason it gives is "you do not have permission to open this file" so is it a windows 7 issue or a Blackberry issue? as I cant even copy the files(s) from my back up usb drive to the new computers HDD.

Mar 21, 2010I was almost certain I came across a screen with separate apps for viewing word processing and spreadsheet files, among others. But now I can't seem to find it. I'd like to carry around a spreadsheet I have at home (Excel) if I wasn't imagining things.
"Show all" in the menu doesn't give me any relief.

Jan 20, 2011OI purchased my storm 9500 version 4.7.0.167 about a year ago. Platform 4.0.0.205. The videos played back really well until I received a video from my friends LG handset via bluetooth. I don't know if that was the actual cause but that is when the problem started. Everytime I make a video it will either refuse to play with a message saying "error occured while playing media" or the video will play without sound then the sound will follow. Playback of the videos is shaky and unstable. Only mms videos play well but even they are starting to act up. What could b the problem. I have tried rebooting 2 no avail.

I went on vacation and took several dozen of these images at various locations and I would like to be able to make a video that replicates this same behavior of pan and zoom from these images so I share them with friends and family.

May 4, 2010My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
