I have the Storm 9530. When I connect it to my PC with USB cable and look at the storage card like another drive, I see two of every picture that I have taken. Why is this?
View 4 RepliesDoes anyone have a fix to get windows 7 to show my Storm in mass storage mode? The transfer in Roxio media manager is slow as **** and since my new PC has windows 7 I have not been able to get it to show the device memory cards a drives that I can just copy and paste to.
It's time that BB and Verizon get their S*&T together and stop tossing out excuses for the reason as to why things don't work. Take the time you would to write the excuse and come up with a patch or fix to the problems.
Has anyone else experienced this. I have a BBStorm.
I did not know my media files were saved on my SD card. I thought they were saved on my device.
In the options, under Memory, it says Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card has been formatted.
First I took the memory SD mini card 8G out and put it back in.
Still same message.
So then I went to Format and formatted it...as it asked me to do.
Error message came up. Saying Format Failed.
However all my files are gone.
I am so mad that my blackberry told me to ensure it was formatted. Everything is gone off my BB.
Is there a way to recover this data?
I haven't backed up my BB before.
on PC Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate I have installed BlackBerry Desktop Software 6, how I can convert video files for BlackBerry Storm 9500?

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Storm is unreliable as it periodically crashes to a white screen with something like "JVM Error 102r", I returned it to vodafone and it was sent away and returned with the latest software installed.However the samecrash keeps occuring, rather than sending it away for 1 - 2 weeks for a software reinstall I do it myself from the Blackberry Desktop Manager, this is a pain and an inconvinience but I have to live with it untill my contract ends and I can leave blackberry for ever.
My more immediate problem is that my home PC crashed and while I was setting up my new home PC my Blackberry also crashed. I downloaded and installed the latest Desktop Manager on to the new PC but I was unable to install and update my Blackberry to V5 software the reason being a connection error "cant connect you may need to enter a password"
I installed an older version of Desktop Manager which gives me access to v4.7 which installed successfuly however, and this is my pressing issue, I can not restore from my back up files (either the backup.ipd files or via the backup cab files) the reason it gives is "you do not have permission to open this file" so is it a windows 7 issue or a Blackberry issue? as I cant even copy the files(s) from my back up usb drive to the new computers HDD.
I was almost certain I came across a screen with separate apps for viewing word processing and spreadsheet files, among others. But now I can't seem to find it. I'd like to carry around a spreadsheet I have at home (Excel) if I wasn't imagining things.
"Show all" in the menu doesn't give me any relief.
I took a new sd card (strontium class 10 32gb nitro) I'm not able to tranfer files from internal storage to mcard through file manager (es file explorer)..it shows error moving files..
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a factory unlocked version of an HTC One M8 on AT&T running 4.4.3. I noticed a week ago I was having issues with Pocketcasts freezing. It stored its files on the SD card so I moved them to the phone storage. It seems to be working fine now. This week I have been taking pictures with my HTC M8 and the gallery freezes and the picture will turn blank with a triangle in it. The camera stores pictures on the SD card also. If I touch the picture the phone locks up.

View 10 Replies View RelatedA Verizon Storm2 I bought used from a Vz customer who switched to an Android. Sold me the phone without the Vz sim in it, I didn't know I needed it. Got an unlock code and tried to enter ir with the T-mo sim in it, says no valid sim card.Always comes up with "do you want to enter MEP unlock code" after pulling battery, but when I press yes nothing happens. This is with the original Vz sim installed which I realized I did need to enter the unlock code.Going to the sim screen shows "no valid sim card" so I can't get to the MEP2 screen to enter the unlock code, this is with the original Vz sim installed.I want to use this on T-mo but am willing to register it on Vz long enough to unlock it, but even Vz says it's blocked.I really need a clue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched high and low for people posting about a similar experience, but after trying several different suggested methods, nothing seems to work.First off, I have a Napter-to-Go membership that I use exclusively on my Storm.This type of setup requires that I plug my Storm in and sync it to Napster every month or so in order to validate the DRM on each song. I noticed about a month ago that even after plugging my phone in and syncing that some files were not being validated (they won't play at all).
I was told that my best bet would be to reformat the card (specifically remove the music file) and start fresh.Unfortunately I've attempted doing this on several levels, including:
- Manually deleting every song via Napster (didn't work)
- Accessing JUST the memory card and attempting to delete the music folder AND after that failed (told me something about write protection) I attempted to reformat the entire card, which also failed.
- Using Blackberry Desktop Manager and attempting to delete said music via the Roxio program, which only froze after I attempted to access a listing of my music.
Whenever I connect my Storm to my laptop to transfer videos on to the media card in my Storm, when I disconnect it, and go to media:video, every video that I have ever had on my phone is listed. A battery pull refreshes the list, and it then only shows the videos that are actually currently on the card. Is there any way I can refresh the list without rebooting?

It shows I have a signal, but there is that red triangle at the top of the screen, showing that I have no service. I know it is unlocked because everything says security disabled... View 4 Replies View RelatedUp until last week I was able to merrily sync my songs onto my Storm's memory card using Windows Media Player, then all of a sudden all the songs on the memory card disappeared from the Storm's media player and I could only see the songs on the phones onboard memory. However, you can see and play the files by exploring through the file system on the Storm and choosing the "show hidden" option in the folders. As these files cant be viewed through the Storm's media player, the media experience becomes very poor. Now, I noticed that if I sync the songs to the Storm using Windows Media Player AND choosing NOT to create a file hierarchy on the Storm's memory card, the songs appear correctly in the Storm's media player, with the disadvantage that the memory card becomes a bit cluttered because tracks arent sorted into folders as I have chosen not to use a file hierarchy when syncing.

I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.
