i just got my Blackberry yesterday and set it up -the emails were being forwarded from my computer with no problems. This morning they have stopped and I am not receiving any...I did get an email straight to my phone from Blackberry but nothing from my computer.

View 7 Replies View RelatedOn my home screen I have a general messages icon I use only for SMS and a gmail message icon that was created when I added my gmail account to my blackberry. I have inbox checked off for the general messages inbox because I don't want duplication of messages with my gmail message folder. Yesterday my new email suddenly stopped appearing in the gmail folder without any known system changes, app additions etc. If I check inbox for general messages they will show up there, but that is undesirable. If I search unopened email in the gmail folder I can find them, but that is undesirable. How do I get the items to show up in the gmail folder the way they have for months without resorting to one of the two workarounds above? Additionally I deleted the gmail account and re-added, but continue to have the same symptoms. I've also performed a hard reset before and after re-adding the account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Tour with Bell Canada, and recently, our company recently updated our BES server.Ever since the switch, I no longer can sync my BIS server emails.So on my BB, I have my company's BES email(lotus notes), and that syncs up fine...if I delete an email from my BB, it'll delete on my desktop, and vice versa.But for my BIS emails(hotmail), when I delete from my BB, it will not delete the email from my hotmail account...or when I delete from my hotmail account, it'll not delete on my BB.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter setting up my phone I was recieving e-mails fine however I am no longer recieving any e-mails. It appears that this could be a common problem, being as it is in the troubleshooting in the manual however... I cannot seem to solve it.
I have tried sending service books. Nothing appears to happen as a result of this. I have tried deleting the account from the phone and then adding it again but that doesnt appear to have worked. I didn't recieve an activation message when i re-added it and I don't know if that is important!
I think it may have happened around about when I was solving another problem and I installed the desktop software and backed up and restored all data. I am wondering if some settings got changed somehow as it is since then that I have not recieved any messages.
I have just upgraded to the new email client (3.09.0) and my pop email accounts no longer sync automatically in the background. They only sync if I manually open up each email account and ask to do a manual sync?

I'm also receiving emails to my other non-hotmail account on my blackberry.I have been on the phone with my carrier O2 about this over 10 times and they have confirmed its either a Blackberry or Hotmail problem, not an O2 issue.I have tried nearly everything; removed and readded my hotmail account on both the Blackberry Internet Service website (via device browser) and Email Settings on Device, turning phone on/off, host routing table and registering etc..nothing seems to be working.Hotmail have suggested I re-configure the pop3 settings on my phone, but I don't understand how this can be done. I am on a Blackberry Curve 8520 and only just recently bought the phone.

If it's a PDF, the email is simply blank, if it's a photo all I see it a small blue question mark.
A friend and I both have blackberry Storms and use the messenger to communicate as she lives out of state. Recently she has been unable to recieve any messages I send from my end of the line. I recieve all messages that she sends, and my phone shows all my sent messages as being delivered and recieved when she checks for them, however none of these messages actually make it to her phone.

This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this? While I hadnt yet installed my contacts, I recieved a text message from someone that was an image of homer simpson that said, "click here to play." Upon clicking on the message it begins with the lyrics "you are so." then in homer simpsons voice it says "gay." I deleted the message immediatley however, after every single one of my notifctaion sounds, it now pays that message. I tried adjusting all of my sound settings and cant get rid of the sound. This is clearly very frustrating and would love to know how to remove this from my phone.

I need to remove an old email address and I can no longer get into the email setup area.
I go to the setup on the main screen (the phone with the green gear) and I can see under set up the little icon for Email Accounts, but when I click on it nothing opens up. I can click on other icons (i.e. Wi-Fi) and the set up screen opens for them, but not for the email accounts.
