I have 3 email accounts on the device but for the past week no new emails are being picked up. When going to Setup and Emails, the device displays "Connecting to email settings" and then after a few minutes says "Your device had a problem connecting too the server".

This is a huge irritation as I can no longer access anything on my phone unless I type in 'text messages' 'blackberry messenger' etc, and press the enter button.Before it stopped working it was very tempremental and would scroll rapidly up and down lists or messages without my control as I do not want to waste money at a phone shop and I don't want to go without my phone for a number of weeks.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my home screen I have a general messages icon I use only for SMS and a gmail message icon that was created when I added my gmail account to my blackberry. I have inbox checked off for the general messages inbox because I don't want duplication of messages with my gmail message folder. Yesterday my new email suddenly stopped appearing in the gmail folder without any known system changes, app additions etc. If I check inbox for general messages they will show up there, but that is undesirable. If I search unopened email in the gmail folder I can find them, but that is undesirable. How do I get the items to show up in the gmail folder the way they have for months without resorting to one of the two workarounds above? Additionally I deleted the gmail account and re-added, but continue to have the same symptoms. I've also performed a hard reset before and after re-adding the account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter setting up my phone I was recieving e-mails fine however I am no longer recieving any e-mails. It appears that this could be a common problem, being as it is in the troubleshooting in the manual however... I cannot seem to solve it.
I have tried sending service books. Nothing appears to happen as a result of this. I have tried deleting the account from the phone and then adding it again but that doesnt appear to have worked. I didn't recieve an activation message when i re-added it and I don't know if that is important!
I think it may have happened around about when I was solving another problem and I installed the desktop software and backed up and restored all data. I am wondering if some settings got changed somehow as it is since then that I have not recieved any messages.
I had a curve 8520 previously and never had a problem. Bought this curve 9300 second hand. Have registered my email address and i can send emails. But none are coming through!
Have tried options - advanced options - host routing table - menu- register now. and it hasnt worked.
My old BB 9300 became faulty so i returned & recieved new BB 9300 yesterday. I set up my email (hotmail) and recieved notification that it was regiesterd but no emails have arrived but my inbox has 23. I can send email from BB

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a blackberry curve 9300 and i noticed that when i am reading an email and i use the trackpad left and right, instead of miving right and left within the line i am reading, it flips through e-mails (left gets the prefious mail and right gets the following mail) inlike when it is scrolled up and down, as it moves up and down the same mail.
is this notmal? can it be adjsuted from teh settings? this wasn't the case with my older curve 8520.
I bought a 9300 literally yesterday, and I'm using it with my current contract sim (which includes data) until I can get a blackberry contract.Apart from the fact that I was abroad this morning, had to turn off mobile services and use only wifi, and I couldn't browse past google (I did use the hotspot browser)...I want to set up my email even though I read I can't get push until I get BB service. However I seem to be lacking the wizard. When I try to set up an email account I get asked whether I have something something Enterprise (which I don't) and can't answer anything but yes. There is a selected dot I can't de-select. So I can't use my email.Also I didn't have App World, so I downloaded it from the browser, and now its in my menu. However if I try and log in with my BB account I get an error and the app crashes, even though the details are correct. So I can't download anything.

My network is Three (3)
I have tried a hard boot many times, also tried "registering the network" and got to "sending service books" and couldn't get passed the "e-mail accounts setup" because it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server".
I have followed all online instructions, device instructions, spent an hour on the phone to Orange and a further hour to Sky emails - to no avail - neither are able to connect my device to my email account. Just about to throw it at the wall !Message received "The information you provided is incorrect. Retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive."Have tried from my device and also through www.orange.blackberry.co.uk on my computer - following instructions on screen and from advisor over phone.Nothing is working - am stuck and paying for useless device!

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy office is starting to use the curves as work phones, running from a BES server.When I plug in a USB cable to the curve to charge it all the connections to the network are disabled. I have checked out the charge on the battery i.e. is it below 5-10% charge, when i believe everything gets disabled to save the battery.Policies have been applied to the curve, one of which is to disable connection to pc's, could this be having an affect does anyone know?

Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
View 2 Replies View Relatedfirst of all i had the problem that the programm was unable to download the content of the mms after it arrived, it only worked after i manually started a internet connection. but after that hell broke loose! every single time i opened the ovi store via icon, refreshed the weather app or tried to refresh the email client the n900 would all of a sudden pick the mms connection over my provider internet connection although my provider internet-connection was set to up under "settigs"->internet connections. i had to deinstall fmms and had to remove the mms-internet connection point using fapn. a total mess..

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Tour with Bell Canada, and recently, our company recently updated our BES server.Ever since the switch, I no longer can sync my BIS server emails.So on my BB, I have my company's BES email(lotus notes), and that syncs up fine...if I delete an email from my BB, it'll delete on my desktop, and vice versa.But for my BIS emails(hotmail), when I delete from my BB, it will not delete the email from my hotmail account...or when I delete from my hotmail account, it'll not delete on my BB.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm no longer receiving hotmail emails to my Blackberry. I am able to send hotmail emails from my phone but not receive. My hotmail account is working well via my pc. I'm also receiving emails to my other non-hotmail account on my blackberry.I have been on the phone with my carrier O2 about this over 10 times and they have confirmed its either a Blackberry or Hotmail problem, not an O2 issue.I have tried nearly everything; removed and readded my hotmail account on both the Blackberry Internet Service website (via device browser) and Email Settings on Device, turning phone on/off, host routing table and registering etc..nothing seems to be working.Hotmail have suggested I re-configure the pop3 settings on my phone, but I don't understand how this can be done. I am on a Blackberry Curve 8520 and only just recently bought the phone.
