BB Curve :: 9300 Won't Set Up Emails Or Download Apps
Sep 5, 2011
I bought a 9300 literally yesterday, and I'm using it with my current contract sim (which includes data) until I can get a blackberry contract.Apart from the fact that I was abroad this morning, had to turn off mobile services and use only wifi, and I couldn't browse past google (I did use the hotspot browser)...I want to set up my email even though I read I can't get push until I get BB service. However I seem to be lacking the wizard. When I try to set up an email account I get asked whether I have something something Enterprise (which I don't) and can't answer anything but yes. There is a selected dot I can't de-select. So I can't use my email. Also I didn't have App World, so I downloaded it from the browser, and now its in my menu. However if I try and log in with my BB account I get an error and the app crashes, even though the details are correct. So I can't download anything.
I took a postpaid fee by my wireless provider, to be able to install email account; I'm also connected to my private wifi; my goal is, after this first month, only use my wifi (or other wifi), with my BB 9300; all seems correct; BlackBerry Internet Services is on in wifi, I have Internet, I receive tweets, my email adress is OK... but no emails at all!! Why does I receive all wat I need, with wifi except emails???
I had a curve 8520 previously and never had a problem. Bought this curve 9300 second hand. Have registered my email address and i can send emails. But none are coming through!
Have tried options - advanced options - host routing table - menu- register now. and it hasnt worked.
My old BB 9300 became faulty so i returned & recieved new BB 9300 yesterday. I set up my email (hotmail) and recieved notification that it was regiesterd but no emails have arrived but my inbox has 23. I can send email from BB
i have a blackberry curve 9300 and i noticed that when i am reading an email and i use the trackpad left and right, instead of miving right and left within the line i am reading, it flips through e-mails (left gets the prefious mail and right gets the following mail) inlike when it is scrolled up and down, as it moves up and down the same mail.
is this notmal? can it be adjsuted from teh settings? this wasn't the case with my older curve 8520.
I have just bought the blackberry 9300 only 3 days ago and its already messed up, I can't receive e-mails, I can't send/receive bbm's, I can't access App world, finally I can't access facebook. But I can still access the internet, phone and text messages.
My information is: Blackberry 9300 smartphone (3G, WiFi) 6.0 bundle 1879 (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124 My network is Three (3)
I have tried a hard boot many times, also tried "registering the network" and got to "sending service books" and couldn't get passed the "e-mail accounts setup" because it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server".
I have 3 email accounts on the device but for the past week no new emails are being picked up. When going to Setup and Emails, the device displays "Connecting to email settings" and then after a few minutes says "Your device had a problem connecting too the server".
I have followed all online instructions, device instructions, spent an hour on the phone to Orange and a further hour to Sky emails - to no avail - neither are able to connect my device to my email account. Just about to throw it at the wall !Message received "The information you provided is incorrect. Retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive."Have tried from my device and also through www.orange.blackberry.co.uk on my computer - following instructions on screen and from advisor over phone.Nothing is working - am stuck and paying for useless device!
My office is starting to use the curves as work phones, running from a BES server. When I plug in a USB cable to the curve to charge it all the connections to the network are disabled. I have checked out the charge on the battery i.e. is it below 5-10% charge, when i believe everything gets disabled to save the battery.Policies have been applied to the curve, one of which is to disable connection to pc's, could this be having an affect does anyone know?
I have only just started using the Desktop software for my BB Curve 9300. Once I connected I was told that updated software was available for my phone. Once I had done this I noticed that my selection of ring tones had diminished from the ones previously installed with the new phone.Following the instructions for downloading ring tones (Media File - ringtones - select menu - then select Download Ring Tones) I notice that I do not have the option to Download! Even visiting the BB website it still tells me to follow the same instruction!
new owner of a curve 9300, so far so good. When I try to download an app -particulary the free scan barcode app, or the free upgrades, I always get the msg 'unable to validate the email address and password combination' now i know your instant reaction will be i've typed something in wrong but I swear i haven't and I havelost count of the number of times I have tried now
I have a Blackberry 9300 with OS 6 and latest updates for device
1.Internet speeds are slow around 50 to 60 kbps whereas it used to be around 120kbps
I have did a security wipe and re-loaded operating system software but prob still exsists I have turned internet browser configurations that might cause it to be slow Did a battery pull. MTN-SA is my service provider and they confirmed nothing is wrong on thier side
Ok, so my 9300's trackpad stopped working a while ago. I've got myself a new non BB phone, as the support from BB was pretty non existent, however i've taken loads of pics on the 9300 which are saved only on the phone itself, not the sim or card. When I plug it in to the laptop it's permanently 'stuck' on 'charge only', there's no way it seems to move it to 'sync media' or the other one! Is there any way to get the pics off the phone or am i going to lose them all?? would be so much simpler if BB had put 4 little arrow keys on the keyboard, save all the faffing about on this seemingly very common fault.
bb 8520 won't download apps from the bb apps store. I have the latest software and have cleared the cache but when I download apps all I get is this app is unavailable?
I have the Curve 9300, OS 6 and there's been a few apps I've gone to download and then I get an apology because my version of OS is not supported? Example is Weather Eye. Anything I can do about this, and is it because it's an older OS that DOES support as it doesn't say of course.
I got Curve 9300 OS 5, not connected to BB services. I installed IM+, Gmail, Google sync (during installation i allowed all access options). When running any of the apps first time (after installing) connection tru 3G or WiFi is OK. Usually i turn off 3G to save battеry.When i run an app next time - it requires internet connection (Curve 930 internet access is OK. Then - the same problem. What can i change in Curve 9300 settings to solve the problem?
I have a Blackberry 9300 which normally downloads at ~120kb/s, but during the last two weeks it doesn't want to go faster that 5kb/s. I've already tried the battery pull, I am in a 3G capable zone and all my bars are full.
I have Curve 8310. In the past when I opened Outlook and my emails downloaded, they disappeared from from Blackberry and I like that. My computer recently crashed and I had to download the latest BB Desktop. Now the emails will only delete from my Blackberry manually.
I have a BB Curve 8520 for 2 weeks now and I still cannot download apps.At first, I had the 4.6 version and I couldn't find BB apps world on my BB so I uprgraded it (5v).Now I have BB apps world I have the possibility to download apps but it doesn't work! Every time I get the same message "Cannot download apps from Blackberry app world...".
When I try to download attachments, it gives me a message "service book information not found" or when I try to email, it tells me that it will send to draft?
I just had my phone for over a month and I am having problems sending email. I have contacted sprint via telephone, but they have only caused additional aggravation. Someone from sprint performed a hard reset and could not tell me how to restore my contacts. My fiancé helped me restored my contacts. I can get email, select reply but there is no send option available to send email. It worked a few days ago, but it is not working now. I can send email from my contacts, but not reply to an email I already received. Even when I try to download a document it says, “More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found”. I even tried the service book option I learned on crackberry along with turning it off and on, removing the battery, and deleting my email accounts and adding them again.
I just got a Curve 9300 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly until one morning the browser stopped working. Everytime i press on the browser icon, nothing happens even when i'm connected to wi-fi. When i open emails using my limited data plan and try to open the links, nothing happens. I mean, i get to open the mail but not the links in it.
I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
