I have a Blackberry 9300 with OS 6 and latest updates for device
1.Internet speeds are slow around 50 to 60 kbps whereas it used to be around 120kbps
I have did a security wipe and re-loaded operating system software but prob still exsists I have turned internet browser configurations that might cause it to be slow Did a battery pull. MTN-SA is my service provider and they confirmed nothing is wrong on thier side
I have a Blackberry 9300 which normally downloads at ~120kb/s, but during the last two weeks it doesn't want to go faster that 5kb/s. I've already tried the battery pull, I am in a 3G capable zone and all my bars are full.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy IPhone 4S along with my wife's phone and our 4th gen iPods, have excellent DL speeds but horrible UL speeds on average .11 Kbps but on iPad I runs about 2.7 Mbps UL speed. I am using a linksys E3000 and have tried everything I have read here and on other threads on other sites as to different router settings. I have tried even what one thread suggested as to disabling auto clock no luck. The one thing I have not done is the static ip because I don't know how to do it.

Is Sprint doing anything about this or are they one of those companies who takes your money but does not provide the needed services.

I have tried all I could think of, clearing cache out, checking for conflicting devices, tried uninstalling some apps I think my be the culprit, rebooting the device, the router, and the Modem etc..... The problem still occurs, I'm not sure if this started since the 5.1 update or prior, all I can say I only noticed it a few days ago, when I decided to do a Speedtest, I know I have done Speedtest before, and never noticed this issue.
Once I'm connected to WiFi and my Bluetooth is turned on, my WiFi speeds are slow and bounce from 2Mb's to 5 Mb's, and when I say bounces the speeds go up and down during the process. As soon as I turn Bluetooth off the speeds are back above the 30 Mb's.
I have tried many of the recommendations around, but have yet to find a solution, Is it a LP issue ?? any other device I have connected I have no issues, I even have a back up Huawei, on LP, and have no issues when BT is turned on.
Heck, even my wife's 1st Gen Moto X has no issues. Since I only realized this recently, today when I get to work I will try it when I get to work and see if it does the same on WiFi there when BT is turned on.
With my first BB 9900 I would download music etc from the internet using 3G and it would literally take seconds. Now, with my second BB 9900, I have full 3G signal but the download is super slow and never finishes downloading, it just says error. I've cleared my cache history and rebooted tons of times.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9700 Bold. I was testing the data transfer speed of it using an app called "NetWorkSpeed" from the app store. No matter how fast my network connection was, it seemed like the Bold was capped at an average maximum speed of around 250 kbps, both uploads or downloads. This is using either a 3G connection, or my home Wi-Fi. My home Wi-Fi should be able to do 6000 kbps downloads, and 800 kbps uploads; but the Bold never got anywhere near those. Now this is a speed test only done to the device, not to a tethered computer or anything like that. A tethered computer seems to be able to transfer faster through the Bold than the Bold can transfer to itself. Is this a real limitation with the Bold, or is something else going on here?
BTW, I tethered my PC to my Bold, using the Bold as its modem, and I was able to get 1.9 Mbps/330 kbps with it. Not as fast as my home Wi-Fi, but respectable. But much, much faster than the Blackberry can transfer to itself.
Could the retina display slowdown download speeds?
I'm, by no means an engineer, but in a certain sense with rendering higher pixelated images, this makes sense to me...No? Maybe the new OS will help with the rendering... I dunno.
I m using Vodafone connection for my blackberry. My browsing speed is very slow, so sites are unable to open because of connection timeout & unable to download the songs from the sites(download failed)...

My OS is version 6 .another colleague of mine who is using OS version 5 had a similar problem but it got resolved after he changed browser settings in Advanced Options- browser- Default Browser configuration- changed from Blackberry browser to Internet Browser - after that again browser options and select all ( support Java script, allow java script pop ups, terminate slow running scripts, show images, use background images, support embedded media) after that Cache options, clear all ( content cache, pushed content, cookie chache) . There after he went to host routing table and register .. When running any of the apps first time (after installing) connection tru 3G or WiFi is OK. Usually i turn off 3G to save battŠµry.When i run an app next time - it requires internet connection (Curve 930 internet access is OK. Then - the same problem.
