I have a BB Curve 8520 for 2 weeks now and I still cannot download apps.At first, I had the 4.6 version and I couldn't find BB apps world on my BB so I uprgraded it (5v).Now I have BB apps world I have the possibility to download apps but it doesn't work! Every time I get the same message "Cannot download apps from Blackberry app world...".

I have received messages stating a couple apps including App World have updates ready to download.I tap on the link to update App World, Im greeted with the There is a newer version available 3.0.0.xx Tapping update gives me the green circle working prompt with a network activity icon, then disappears and nothing happens. Checking the App status, app world is listed as version 2.x.x, so clearly it is not updating. The device is logged into the BB account, and the terms and conditions has been accepted.I have tried downloading the app world update, and also facebook and BBM updates, on both my wireless carrier network and my home WiFi, with the same green working circle, and then nothing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have been using bb app world and other apps since the time i started bb few years back. but few months back the bb app world and some other apps stooped working. the bb app world doesnt appear anywhere in the bb despite complete successful installation. the other apps dont open. instead i get a pop up message which says 'error starting' or 'error loading' or 'verify error'. even the upgraded version of any app if installed anytime from the time problem started doesn't open.can anyone tell me what exactly is the problem with my bb as it was working well few months back. how do i rectify this so that i can once again start using the bb app world as well as start using some of the apps that are not opening now.

It then asks me to enter in my blackberry ID which I do, it then takes me to my information [such as email, username] and gives me options to change my password and recovery question but nothing else. Also as soon as I brought the phone I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop Support software. The desktop software and the storage options on the phone both say that I have a 14.4MB remaining on the phone storage and 1.4GB remaining on my memory card. When I attempt to download apps on the phone through my Wi-Fi it says that there is not enough space remaining. I assume that the phone only attempts to download the app to the device memory. Is there a way that I can get the phone to automatically download the app directly to my memory card? Or is there some other problem which is stopping me downloading apps?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB 8900 for 1 week and I'm already thinking it is the single worst thing I've ever purchased.I've got the problem whereby I cannot download apps from BBAW (18 icon and skysports - one paid for, the other free). I've tried every fix found on forums and from google'ing the problem. What works for some is not working for me. I'm getting the error "There was a problem during installation. try again" Then:Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." BBAW then closes and nada.I've tried updating my BB, changing me BB id, paypal logon, resetting the BBAW using the ALT RST thingy, tried wireless on, wireless off, turning all connections off, restarting the device, hard reset, soft reset, logging out of BBAW, closing the app etc. Tried all the KB's found online and un/reinstallign BBAW. I've googled this for the last 3 days, constantly. Is there anything else I can try before I smash what started to be a great phone into pieces on the back of the useless BBAW.
