Feb 15, 2012On my home screen I have a general messages icon I use only for SMS and a gmail message icon that was created when I added my gmail account to my blackberry. I have inbox checked off for the general messages inbox because I don't want duplication of messages with my gmail message folder. Yesterday my new email suddenly stopped appearing in the gmail folder without any known system changes, app additions etc. If I check inbox for general messages they will show up there, but that is undesirable. If I search unopened email in the gmail folder I can find them, but that is undesirable. How do I get the items to show up in the gmail folder the way they have for months without resorting to one of the two workarounds above? Additionally I deleted the gmail account and re-added, but continue to have the same symptoms. I've also performed a hard reset before and after re-adding the account.

Apr 4, 2012Just recently, my 9810 stopped leaving email on my server. I am using a POP 3 server through AT&T. I use Outlook on my laptop and want all my email aggregated there (I remove from server when I pull it there). I was under the impression that BB always left mail on the server and I cannot find a setting anywhere to make me beleive otherwise. Also, this is not mail that I have deleted on my handheld, it is still in BB inbox - just not popping into my desktop as it should if it were still on the server.

We moved the phone into a test area with no policies, then turned on and off each policy, testing connectivity results for each one.The only policy preventing the phone from connecting to the server was, "Password Required". The phone can connect to the server only if a password is not required.

On my old phone, deleting items from my in box removed them from the server, but that's not happening now (using the default Mail APP). I noticed it was sending them to the trash and so I went into the trash folder, selected all the email and then tapped the "Delete" button. Nope. Jun 11, 2012I can set up my account and send/receive emails with no problem using either pop or imap, the problem I have is trying to then modify the 'Server Settings' to set the 'delete from server' option under 'incoming settings'. When I select 'incomming settings', username/password, 'done', nothing happens, I'm just returned back to the original settings screen that I originally selected 'incomming settings' from. What is also suspicious is the option for 'outgoing settings' is not listed at all, when I look at documentation the option for 'outgoing settings' is there under 'server settings' but not on my phone it's not.

Dec 30, 2014i have a problem with my galaxy S5 ATT. so im using Netgear wireless n-150 router WNR 1000,its updated,but the problem was before the update and after the update it is the same. i'm using yahoo,gmail and comcast emails.i was able to setup yahoo email without any problems,i can send and receive emails from my phone when connected to wifi and without wifi. but i wasnt able to add to that stock email app my gmail account and comcast while i was connected to my wifi.it gave me error that it wasnt able to connect to the server to verify information.
So I tried to set it up on the mobile network and there was no problem. so now when i connected to wifi in my house i cant receive emails or send them using gmail and comcast email,yahoo account is working fine. i checked all the settings,i reset the router,still nothing.the funny part is if i download gmail app it is working without any problems.and if i connect to any other wireless router,all 3 emails work. also when i connect to my wifi, I'm getting internet and i'm able to open pages without any problems. So it should be some settings in the router probably ...

The calendar default service on the Bold shows my email address, so I guess it is something to do with my email setup.

When I get an email on my Nexus 5, if I delete it, it is gone from the server and when I log onto my computer at home I have no email. If I let the emails sit on my Nexus 5, download them to my inbox at home, then I can delete them from the Nexus 5 without losing them.The default seems to be to delete the message from the server when it's deleted from the inbox whether you choose "Never" or not.
