My university is switching its email from its original server [URL] to gmail. Our emails are still all staying the same [URL] we just access them through google now instead. The problem is I can't figure out how to get them on my phone anymore. I've tried deleting my old email address and then adding it again using the gmail option but my phone still recognizes this address at the old server?

I've stopped receiving emails on my BB & not sure why I haven't changed anything on the handset nor the computer. How I get my emails to come back. I still receive them through my computer as normal.

On my old phone, deleting items from my in box removed them from the server, but that's not happening now (using the default Mail APP). I noticed it was sending them to the trash and so I went into the trash folder, selected all the email and then tapped the "Delete" button. Nope. There were nowhere to be found on the phone, but they were still on the server (as I found out when I got home and connected via my desktop client.)I read a suggestion on a non-Photon specific forum that suggested to make sure the trash folder was set up to be a push synch, so I tried that.ere are my settings for the account:Data Push (not checked, but I've also tried checking this)Fetch schedule: every 15 minutesFolder sync: Trash - background; Inbox - background; deleted (which is an empty folder) - background

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought a new Bold 9700 a week ago.I got the synchronisation with my PC's Outlook working for calendar and contacts OK.Two days ago I set up the Blackberry so I could get my emails on it as well as the PC.Now when I go to synchronise, I get a message on the Blackberry Desktop Manager saying "The default service for your device's Calendar has changed since the last time you synchronised."Click OK to use your new default servicer and combine your data "."Click cancel to stop the synchronisation and revisit your default service options on your device."I have no idea why the default servce has changed (don't even know what it means) and what I should do. The calendar default service on the Bold shows my email address, so I guess it is something to do with my email setup.

Recently at work, they changed our email server. I have tried several times to set up my device to receive work emails both on the device or on my provider's website (AT&T), with no luck. I double, triple, and quad checked all email addresses, passwords, usernames, server names, etc. But I can't link the work email in. Our IT guy is stumped too.

I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. I have the I1 and have a work email and a gmail account, both worked fine (except the work email wouldn't let me see messages after I looked at them), then all of the sudden, the work email quit downloading. I checked with the server and it was not their fault. so I went to the online work email service and forwarded the emails to a new gmail account which I set up just for work. it worked fine for about a day and then it also stopped working. when I go into email, it just keeps searching, my battery will get hot and then I end up killing the email app.. I deleted both accounts on my phone and just reinstalled the gmail that is forwarded from the server and nothing. really is starting to bug me. both are pop accounts. I am getting my emails just fine on my work computer so I am thinking it is my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have set up email on my BB and receive OK however the BB emails do not update when I have read or deleted them on my laptop and visa versa. I also keep getting email messages that say " This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server" and a load of code. I get loads of these in one day/night. My work email is being accessed via MS Webmail as far as I understand.
