BB Curve :: Can Only Set Up Enterprise Server Email
Jul 30, 2011I recently got my bb 9300 on a 29 BYO plan with optus.When I attempt to set up my mail account the only option i get from the set up wizard is "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server". get the other option which allows me to add my gmail accounts?

When I try to use the email connection, I get "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." Is the server down, or have I caused a problem on my BB by updating the operating system?

Apr 28, 2011I have a Curve 8310. I have had it for 2.5 years and have been receiving home, work, and Blackberry email accounts on my device without problems until now. Recently at work, they changed our email server. I have tried several times to set up my device to receive work emails both on the device or on my provider's website (AT&T), with no luck. I double, triple, and quad checked all email addresses, passwords, usernames, server names, etc. But I can't link the work email in. Our IT guy is stumped too.

The problem is I can't figure out how to get them on my phone anymore. I'd be happy to do that, if I had an enterprise account, which I believe (cld. be wrong) is what companies use. The embedded email app are deleting mails on my mail server, when I delete them in my phone. I am used to have a copy left on the mail server to be fetched when coming back to the office. I do not find any options in my x8 so I have a copy left on my server.

Setup on both BB and online keeps returning a message "can't find you mail server" and then sends me an email via that server to my PC. I have spoken to technical support who can say nothing other than,"there is nothing wrong with us!". However, my ISP has monitored his system and found no attempted access when I try to verify my mail servers. My email works perfectly for eveyone else, not my new blackberry.
