I use an exchange account at work, that means I often search for old emails dating way back. However I can not find the choice for that on my new 808?
It seems to only find mail for the last two weeks.

I have googled quite a bit without finding a solution. I have an MS Exchange mail account which I set to manual sync. Works fine. I have also told the SII not to sync contacts from my MS Exchange account. However, if I search for a contact in my contacts list the SII also searches on my Exchange server--which creates traffic I do not want and a lot of hits since I work for a large company. Is there a way to tell SII not search for contacts on my Exchange server?

I need to set my outgoing work email (SMTP) server port number to 587 and connection security to TLS. However, I can't see an option to set either the port number nor the security to TLS. SSL security can be turned on/off, but no mention of TLS.
I have read elsewhere that setting the server name as <server name> : <port number> can be used (that is, using a colon to separate the server name from the port number), but still this does not allow for selecting TLS security.
My incoming email, IMAP, works fine, so my connection/username/password etc. should all be fine.
I have used the Nokia Messaging Email application for over a year now, without problems. I had to perform a complete reset on my phone (Nokia N79 v30.019). However, upon trying to re-install Nokia Messaging Email software, I can't get past the setup process, as I get an error message saying "Unable to connect to server. Try again later.", right after I choose the email service I wish to use. Shouldn't I be asked for my Nokia Email account login at this point, and not which Email service I would like to use? Is the server down or is it a problem with handset?

Then I tried using hotmail and it worked fine (but my hotmail is full of spam so I want to get my Yahoomail to work). It said that I have the username or password wrong. I have updated to the v50 firmware ( first time OTA - it crashed, second time through OVI desktop worked fine) but now my email accounts will not refresh as they cannot contact the server? also getting the occasional massive slow down when going to the main menu if I have any app (typically music) open in background.

I then get prompted for email and password, but i don't get anny options for Gmail, Yahoo etc, and the only option is "mail for exchange" and that doesn't work with the gmail account.

I cant seem to find a way of getting any email notifications, when i have a missed call or a new text message the lock screen shows this but it doesnt show anything for new emails. It only allows me to have one single email account in my 808, and it ask for username and domain when I try to add an email account...it forces me to write something in one of those field to let me go on... I have Hotmail...and it do let me sync and find my hotmail account just with my address written with password...and if I write for ex. a "O" in the domain field...but why? And why does it onlt let me sync one account? In my old N8 I could synd how many emails accounts I wanted and I just needed to chooce which type of account I had for ex. Hotmail, Gmail or something else...and I could have two withdgets ontop of eachother with different email accont in them....how do I get that on this new 808??
