Sep 21, 2012I am unable to use Nokia Messaging service push email service on my Nokia after Belle Refresh install. I did a clean install and when ever I try to add email accounts its automatically taking IMAP or POP3 setup and not prompting me to use Nokia Messaging Service to send/receive email.IMAP / POP3 is fast but uses lots of data compared to Nokia Messaging Service (which is free from my provider and will not count towards data usage). I started noticing this problem since yesterday afternoon.

Mar 4, 2015Having problem downloading attachments with default email app. When clicked on the app says it is 'fetching' the document but often never works. I can go to a browser based client for, say yahoo mail or comcast mail and the attachment is quickly downloaded. Why the default email app is having this problem?

Jun 6, 2010I was trying to send 2 pictures(total size abt 2MB) as an email attachment using my IMAP mailbox and mail reached outbox, but it never sent out. Since this attempt my mailbox behaves wierdly and does not sync emails properly. So I removed the mailbox and I set it up again. Still there are few issues with sync but atleast emails are coming & going.
Also I tried again to send a very small size file as an attachment but in the compose email screen when I do attach the file, nothing happens and it automatically comes out of the mailbox. The email is saved in drafts folder with no attachment . can someone confirm if attachments are support by E72 email client ?I am on 031.023 FW and I have set up email using 'Other' option in the Set Email wizard.

Jan 1, 2013I upgraded from an N8 to the Lumia 920.I weekly receive work emails which have attached to them either xls, doc or PDF files which I was able to open directly with my N8 with Quick office or Adobe PDF reader. Not only that, I could download and store the said documents straight to my phone and open with the Microsoft apps too.On the Lumia I'm unable to do either, even though this has Office 365.I'm unable to open any attachment straight from email with it's inbuilt office suite.I do own Office 2010 on my PC, but what do I need to do to integrate with Office 365?When I added my email address it just duplicated the account and still didn't open attachments?

Mar 19, 2012I am brand new to the Nokia 710 and I have my AOL email account linked up to the phone. I am able to send and recieve emails just fine.My problem is that when I try to open/download any attachments like a Word or PDF document that are in the emails, they never open. They start to open but never do. I can open these attachements on my old Palm Pixi rather quickly and without any trouble so I know it is not the files that are the problem.
I've searched both this USA forum and the UK one and didn't see anyone else with the same issue... so did I not set up something properly with the phone?

Pretty much like BlackBerry, albeit in that case all data go through their servers.
If all connections go through your provider's APN, how would Nokia know whether you're connected to Nokia Messaging or to some other server? All data exchange simply count towards your internet bundle, regardless if you use it for mail, internet browsing or whatever else you want to do, doesn't it?

Feb 11, 2012I"m using pop3 service to my computer and my blackberry cell phone. About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. Also my outlook at my computer is normal, receive all email only once, and did not get any duplication as my blackberry 9700 phones.

When I choose 'push' on my Nokia E72, it is connected to the internet all the time and only pretends to be real push, but I was wondering whether it's because my operator is not supported. Also, what difference does it make when your operator supports Nokia Messaging? As far as I know, my operator is not supported, but I easily set up Nokia Messaging with my Nokia E72. So, doesn't it mean that the only thing required for the Nokia Messaging to work is a data plan? Why does Nokia make announcements about starting to offer Nokia Messaging in countries where there already is internet in mobile phones?

Right now it takes me sometimes at least 10 minutes to receive an email after it's sent, I was wondering if there's a way to make your email push like every 2 minutes instead of every 10.
Also sometimes when I send an email with my blackberry, the person I send it to receives it as a message with all symbols and not the message I sent. Is this a known problem, or is something wrong with my blackberry?

However, said folder does not seem to exist. I have something called Downloads in the app drawer, but those email attachments aren't in there. There is an attachment which cannot be opened which is a winmail. dat file.To my knowledge, I have not done anything to stop the attachments opening!I upgraded to Version 5 of the software in the hope that this would resolve the problem, but it did not.
