I have removed and re-installed messaging from my device as well as removing and adding my mailbox in the nokia email settings.I can still get PUSH email when i perform a MANUAL sync however it will not push automatically to me despite all of my settings confirmed as being set up correctly.I know i am not alone in this - my Blackberry never has this problem.
View 10 RepliesA few weeks back I started noticing that my e-mail (both the standard e-mail and my e-mail exchange) won't update for hours at a time. I either need to restart the phone or do a manual sync, and then it will check my e-mails again for a while. Then it goes back to not checking. I've gone into the settings on both accounts and made sure that I've selected PUSH and also that I have not selected to only check during peak times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using the email app for my work email. It's using the IMAP protocol. I'm not using the corporate sync functionality. After doing a manual sync by pressing the refresh icon, I would get emails pushed to my phone fine. However, after some time emails stop getting pushed to my phone. The period of time when push seems to be working varies around a few hours. When it stops working I have to do a manual sync again in order to get push to work for another few hours.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy company has recently switched from iPhone to the S5. I received over 200 emails per day so my email is set up with an inbox and several folders. All of the folders are set to push mail from our server. After selecting all of the folders to push email it will work for about a day. When I wake in the morning only email in my inbox is showing. All of the emails in the folders are no longer showing and the settings are all changed to manual. It seems like the email settings are resetting themselves nightly. I have tried deleting and re-adding the account and turning off power save.
I am using an SG5 running Android 4.4.4
So I got this phone today. Loving it so far except that the email seems to want to sync every few minutes. I don't want it to use all my data. How to I set it up for manual sync? Every other phone I've ever used has this option....

Push mail, contact sync,everything else is not a problem. The prob is basically manual sync, and on top of the email app, it says that the last time it was updated was 2 months ago (this is when it first started, i installed cyan using nokia recovery tool)

I bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed.It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.

My subscription with the GSM operator includes the Nokia Messaging service.I can download messages if I tap send/receive, but automatic sync does not work.If I set the sync time to Push Mail, I can see a green ring on the screen. I assume it means there is a live connection. But messages do not arrive.If I set the sync time to 15 minutes, the ring becomes grey and crossed. Every 15 minutes it changes to green and rotates. I assume it means new messages are downloaded. But they are not.
Again, if I tap Send/receive, new messages arrive.I also tried to configure a Gmail mailbox. The situation is the same. Manual send/receive works, automatic sync does not.How could I get automatic sync to work?
I am using N97 with Nokia push email client. I am unable to find out how to download attachements from such emails.

Pretty much like BlackBerry, albeit in that case all data go through their servers.
If all connections go through your provider's APN, how would Nokia know whether you're connected to Nokia Messaging or to some other server? All data exchange simply count towards your internet bundle, regardless if you use it for mail, internet browsing or whatever else you want to do, doesn't it?
from 13th Feb 2010 2pm onwards am not getting any mails in my fone. am using Nokia e72 already configured my mails. personal and gmail, yahoo, hotmail, yesterday onwards am not getting any mails. am not getting any error message. email also connected with web. no synchronizing. just connected. unable to send and receive message. my data plan is working perfect another web application is working and able to browse in web. still it is not pushing the mail. all the mails not working. What's the truth? When I choose 'push' on my Nokia E72, it is connected to the internet all the time and only pretends to be real push, but I was wondering whether it's because my operator is not supported. Also, what difference does it make when your operator supports Nokia Messaging? As far as I know, my operator is not supported, but I easily set up Nokia Messaging with my Nokia E72. So, doesn't it mean that the only thing required for the Nokia Messaging to work is a data plan? Why does Nokia make announcements about starting to offer Nokia Messaging in countries where there already is internet in mobile phones?

I did a clean install and when ever I try to add email accounts its automatically taking IMAP or POP3 setup and not prompting me to use Nokia Messaging Service to send/receive email.IMAP / POP3 is fast but uses lots of data compared to Nokia Messaging Service (which is free from my provider and will not count towards data usage). View 1 Replies View RelatedMy S3 had a menu button to the left of the Home key, and one of the choices offered was to sync the calendar. (I have it linked to an Exchange server). In the S6 there is no menu button next to the Home key, and while the calendar has a menu icon, there is no option to sync manually.
The only way to sync is through Options/Accounts/..., i.e. one has to leave the calendar, sync and come back.
What am I missing? How can they just drop this essential option? Even with a sync schedule one often wants to make sure everything is fully up-to-date when using the calendar.
Related question: is the Calendar program from Samsung or is it standard Android? I know Google offers a Calendar app on Play.
I have a Nokia E 72 with 4 push email accounts. all used to work perfectly fine.. but recently push email is not working. it shows connected to the server but inbox is empty in all 4 accounts.. it synchronizes sometimes but again goes blank.. i have vodafone mobile conect on the phone and i have reset the accounts with nokia as well as reset the phone twice. all softwares are updated and when phone is restarted it syncs for some time and again phone goes blank..

About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using the Razr Maxx for just about a week now, and the push mail on my iMap account does not sync consistently. Sometimes it works fine, but usually mail just doesn't get pushed. When this happens, toggling the Background Data option seems to re-start the sync process, and the mails start coming in. However, after a while, it just gets stuck again. At first I thought that the trigger might be a disconnect from the network. especially during a drop from 3G to 2G, but it fails even if the network connection is stable. The POP accounts which are on a fetch-schedule work just fine.Suggestions for third-party clients such as K9 and MailDroid are fine, but these do not integrate with the Universal Inbox widget, which I feel is a great tool, especially since it combines text messaging, FaceBook and Twitter all in one.

After the upgrade I still have the MAP option toggles available on Ford Sync setup screens but Sync doesn't display a new text message notification and when I tell it to download existing text messages from the phone it starts to and then displays "downloading error". I've unpaired and paired the Razr Maxx several times without success. One of the primary reasons I bought the Razr Maxx over other phones was because it supported the MAP profile.

Last week I got a message that I needed to confirm my password. I was unable to get the system/phone to accept it so I deleted the e-mail address & attempted to set it up from scratch. I have spent 2 hours trying. My employer's IT dept spent an hour and my local cell carrier guru also tried for about an hour. We get a message that there is an error in the data submitted. I know my Web App info works 'cause I can sign on from several computers with no problem. I called tech help at Blackberry where the nice overseas guy told me "you can't use OWA, only normal e-mail addresses". (Since the set up screens still have the forms to do it, I assume he was wrong.) I have had 2 other e-mail addresses push to the phone for over a year which have no problem. (not going through OWA). We have deleted those 2 & reset with no problem. The problem seems to only be related to Web App.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a LG G3 a few weeks ago and the same day I upgraded to Lollipop via factory reset before updating, then adding my accounts. I haven't had push email on any account since day one and I've read several threads in where it's claimed there's push email on Lollipop, or at least the gmail app. The lack of complaints about this tells me either it works properly for almost everyone, or it doesn't and few people care. I'd like proper push email, like I have on my Z10, but I can't seem to figure out where the problem lies. When I send myself test email the Z10 sounds off as my finger lifts off my mouse button, and then my desktop as soon as my Z10 goes quiet. Sometime in the next hour my G3 receives the same mail. It's the same result whether on WiFi or carrier connection.
