I'm using the brand new Z5 Premium with Active Sync (Microsoft Exchange Online). The E-Mail push notifications come very late, sometimes many minutes later. What could be the problem?
View 10 RepliesI bought the X10 mini pro simply because I love SE phones and I wanted to have my office e-mail with me where ever I go but I have been so disappointed.It's never been possible tp set up my e-mail on the Roadsync application from Android 2.1 there is this error -1002 that I get any time I try to Synchronize my mails and this is getting me crazy; one of the most important reason I bought the the X10 mini pro - get my corporate e-mails is becoming impossible. When it is connected on WiFi, it does sync all my emails but immediately it is switched to 3G all the mails in the inbox disappears and it's not able to sync again.

After an upgrade to Lollipop, I noticed my gmail label notifications are delayed, i.e. whenever an email with my label is received in my inbox, my customised label notification is delayed, until I unlock my phone and about half a minute later, the notification will appear.
2. Sometimes, the notification sounds (be it whatsapp, email or messages) in locked screen will sound warped.
3. After I unlock the screen and say I'm at my home screen, when I move to another screen, it does not load up properly.
When I receive for example an iMessage, I now receive them on both devices. Very nice and useful off course. The iPad seems to get them always immediately, while on my iPhone, sometimes get them a few minutes later, or when I open my device. It can be quiet annoying while having a conversation on my iPhone off course. Can I programm it in that way that I always receive push's on both devices? It differs per moment as well, as sometimes they receive it immediately. As soon as reading it on one, it dissappears on the other, but sometimes, that is delayed as well. It seems like that sometimes the iPhone is "not connected" to Wi-Fi. Is this a battery saving method, and can I switch this on and off somewhere? I would like to receive the notifications immediately on both devices. This is not only for iMessage, but also whatsapp or facebook can be laggy on the iPhone.

I would like to disable the push-up notifications that Whatsapp shows in my navigation panel, even those that say: "New message from XX". I've tried to do it through Whatsapp settings but I couldn't. Is there any other options? It would also accept to disable the navigation panel, but I don't know if that is possible.

Sometimes I don't get the notification at all, unless I access the app and, in the case of Facebook, refresh the notifications's page. I would just like to know if other Smart subscrivers are experiencing (or have experienced) the same problems, and if there's any solution to this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time, I experience that my Xperia X10 does not automatically sync e-mail accounts (using the supplied/standard e-mail application). I've set up a number of e-mail acocunts (6) with different update rates ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. I can go in to one of the accounts, whereby it syncs and I can see that I have received a number of new e-mails (for a period more than 6-12 hours, without receiving any type of notification.
This is really annoying since I miss important emails. What can be done to ensure that they sync automatically and that I receive notifications?
On Thursday evening my Active Sync stopped working all of a sudden. The Calendar and Contacts still work. Is there a log where I can troubleshoot? My IT department will need hard facts ;-)

My wife gets notified when it's her turn and I don't. My wife also has a 4S and we have notifications set the same. So I upgraded to 5.1 last night and still no push notifications. I set espn and tvguide to give me a lot of notifications and have not got anything. I downloaded ipusher app and it's not working either. I'll assume the app is working and my phone isn't.

I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).
