I would like to disable the push-up notifications that Whatsapp shows in my navigation panel, even those that say: "New message from XX". I've tried to do it through Whatsapp settings but I couldn't. Is there any other options? It would also accept to disable the navigation panel, but I don't know if that is possible.

I have a Gmail Account working on Microsoft Exchange, for IM messaging I'm using Beejive IM with Push and I'm also using Whatsapp. Before Updating it to iOS 5.1.1 all Push notifications were working flawless, however, after I upgraded it to 5.1.1, I began having troubles. After 1 minute of having the Iphone locked, I don't get any push notification, nor on the email, nor on the Whatsapp, neither on the Beejive. If I unlock it and I re-open one of them, for ex, I go to check my contact list on Beejive, I get all the mails, and all the instant msgs that people had sent to me after I locked my iPhone; it's like, my iPhone was locked for 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes people sent me 4 msgs on whatsapp, 4 msgs on beejive and 4 mails. Once I unlock my iPhone and I go to one of the 3 apps (mail, whatsapp or beejive), I get the 12 items (4 msg from whatsapp, 4 msgs from beejive and 4 mails) at that exactly time. It's crazy, it's like, with this new update push notifications got disabled for every app or what happened to my iPhone on this upgrade? I really need help. WIthout Push, none of them apps works cool for me. I'm using Iphone 4 on a 3G network. I tried restoring it x3, I unistalled the apps, mail, etc and nothing worked.

Before buying Z5 premium dual, I had been using Z. In Z, I was able to have Whatsapp messages appear in the notification bar WITHOUT any sound. That allows me to see the messages without triggering the blue ticks.

Now in Z5p, I am not able to do the same. From the settings available, I only have two choices:
1. Whenever there's a whatsapp message, it pops up at the top of the screen WITH sound, then it remain in the notification bar.
2. By choosing to block it, nothing will ever pop up, there is no sound, and there will be nothing at all in the notification bar.

What I want is "showing up in the notification bar" + "NO sound", is it possible to do this?

I have read some forum posts in which people suggested to turn to silent mode. But in this case I won't be able to hear phone calls so it's not feasible.
I am a first time user of Sony, and Xperia Z5 is my first phone. I got it on 26th October and I have used iPhones and Samsung phones previously.

I tried tweaking both phone settings and app settings and the pin/pattern unlock was the initial problem that I found.

The "swipe" to unlock is now my primary screen unlock method with no security procedure in place.Â
Thing is that i still sometimes don't get the notifications under "screen lock" mode for these 3rd party apps even i chose to show all notification content under phone settings.Â
I only get them when I have swiped to unlock my phone, and a whole chunk of notifications start popping up.

I've upgraded my Xperia Z2 D6503 to 23.1.A.1.28 firmware a few days ago. Since then everything was fine till yesterday but from morning today i found that I'm not getting push notifications from facebook or messenger. I still don't know this is happening to other apps or not. What is the solution?

View 10 Replies View RelatedSo, after a few minutes (10-20 mins) when someone sends me a message on whatsapp or bbm or Facebook messenger etc... the phone doesn't receive the message until i enter the app (whatsapp, bbm, fbmessenger etc).
I don't know what to do. I don'w know if this is a problem after I made an update last week or smth.
When I get a new message from WhatsApp it doesn't notify on the top bar, it appears just the icon for this app. If this icon is already there, it doesn't change anything if I've received a new message, (I've to check pulling down the bar to see if I received new messages and who has sent it). My older cellphone used to show the message "Message from..." for like a few seconds, so I could see instantaneously when I'd got new messages.

For some reason when a whatsapp pop up comes up on the locked screen and i press view it doesn't open up the lock screen, i have to press view and then manually unlock the phone. This doesn't happen when i get an sms pop up. Why is this? i played with every setting possible.

I want to use whatsapp on my nokia C3-00 and use it only through the wifi. I have tried creating new access point but every time I connect it uses gprs although packet data connection is selected to 'when connected'. I have deleted the access points through personnel settings but still some access points are available through packet data. Is it because of that gprs is activated? If yes, how can I delete them?

I just got a LG G3 2 days ago and straight out of the box it did an update to Lollypop so I cant quote if the issue I have worked on Kitkat.
Anyway the problem I have is Facebook and Whatsapp do NOT show the number of notifications on Icon only in the status bar. Here's a couple of screen captures to show you what I mean.
My notifications for both Whatsapp and Viber do not work. I've tried resetting my phone, I've tried deleting the apps and re-downloading them but yet nothing works. The actual apps do not appear in the notifications + actions, as an option. I cannot turn on the notifications at all ! When I open Whatsapp I receive a message saying the following: Whatsapp detected an issue with your phone that will prevent you from recieving new message notifications. Please reboot your phone.

My wife gets notified when it's her turn and I don't. My wife also has a 4S and we have notifications set the same. So I upgraded to 5.1 last night and still no push notifications. I set espn and tvguide to give me a lot of notifications and have not got anything. I downloaded ipusher app and it's not working either. I'll assume the app is working and my phone isn't.

I have also assigned Mail and Calendar App to receive push notifications while Battery Saver is On. However, I'm not receiving push notifications and I am forced to sync Gmail manually. My phone is running the latest release, i.e., .71. How this can be resolved? Or, is this is a known issue which MSFT is still working on?
