View 5 RepliesMy carrier network is Smart Communications Inc., and I've been receiving delayed notifications for my Facebook and Twitter apps. Sometimes I don't get the notification at all, unless I access the app and, in the case of Facebook, refresh the notifications's page. I would just like to know if other Smart subscrivers are experiencing (or have experienced) the same problems, and if there's any solution to this.

View 10 Replies View RelatedPush notifications such as WhatsApp, FB and E-Mail etc all arrive 5-20 minutes late when on a cellular data connection for me. They work fine on WiFi and arrive instantly.
My Lumia 1020 had no issues before my 950. I have strong signal and it happens in multiple areas...
1. After an upgrade to Lollipop, I noticed my gmail label notifications are delayed, i.e. whenever an email with my label is received in my inbox, my customised label notification is delayed, until I unlock my phone and about half a minute later, the notification will appear.
2. Sometimes, the notification sounds (be it whatsapp, email or messages) in locked screen will sound warped.
3. After I unlock the screen and say I'm at my home screen, when I move to another screen, it does not load up properly.
Im getting terrible slow wifi speeds, and my notifications are extremely delayed compared to my other phones. we are talking 1-2 mins.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive for example an iMessage, I now receive them on both devices. Very nice and useful off course. The iPad seems to get them always immediately, while on my iPhone, sometimes get them a few minutes later, or when I open my device. It can be quiet annoying while having a conversation on my iPhone off course. Can I programm it in that way that I always receive push's on both devices? It differs per moment as well, as sometimes they receive it immediately. As soon as reading it on one, it dissappears on the other, but sometimes, that is delayed as well. It seems like that sometimes the iPhone is "not connected" to Wi-Fi. Is this a battery saving method, and can I switch this on and off somewhere? I would like to receive the notifications immediately on both devices. This is not only for iMessage, but also whatsapp or facebook can be laggy on the iPhone.

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1. I receive mail from 3 different accounts. I have noticed that there is a delay on all accounts between when the mail appears on the phone and when a sound is played. This was about 20 seconds but since the last upgrade it has gone to be several minutes.

Fedex posted an update on their website regarding the tracking information delays. See below: Tracking Update for Wednesday, June 23, 2010 Package deliveries are proceeding as normal, however tracking updates are temporarily being delayed. Please try back later.
Source: http://www.fedex.com/us/update.html
So if it says delivery date of 6/23 and it doesn't show "out for delivery" don't be concerned because it will most likely be delivered. Call Fedex to verify though.
My iPhone 4s will vibrate on all incoming calls and on notifications, however, there will be no ringtone or sound on notifications.

I'm worried that the problem is in my phone. Do I have to reprogram it? or I just can restore factory settings?

View 3 Replies View RelatedToday RIM reported earnings but they also mentioned they won't have any BB10 devices to sell until Q1 2013.As much as I'd like to see BB10 be a strong alternative, I can't imagine how BB10 would be successful now that it's been pushed back again. Heck, I thought it was going to have a hard time if they had launched it like they said they would last year. They did mention that there would be BB10 devices with a physical keyboard.Do you think we'll even see BB10?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using a G4 H815 and recently I noticed that the Gmail app (yes, official) sometimes only notifies me about new inbox mails a few minutes after they were received, usually 1-3 minutes. I didn't notice this issue until yesterday when I placed my G4 with my Nexus pad side by side and Nexus always notifies me *instantly*, by which I mean if I open a web browser on my computer and compose an email to my gmail account and hit the send button, in less than a second the Nexus will beep, while G4 only tells me this new email after a few minutes.
It is not the notification sound issue, then phone simply sits there without telling me anything until a few minutes have passed. And I also noticed that if I keep my phone alive by using it, then the delay between email incoming and notification is significantly shorter most of the time.
I was able to install app from the Playstore, disregard that it mentions a Samsung phone. This website pretty much advises what settings to use and all. Works in the meanwhile until an official fix is released for all of us G4 owners. Night and day difference. You don't have to use the specific settings in the website, I've found some values myself that have worked well but it's a good starting point.
1.) Enable parameters
2.) Don't forget within the app to 'start service on boot'
3.) Reboot phone and enjoy a better phone experience

I've noticed that there is quite a variance in the time it takes to wake the screen with knock on. Sometimes in a bright Room, it's instant. Other times, from a pocket or dark room, it can take 3 or more seconds.... Of it works at all without having to repeat.
I'm assuming it's a combo of the proximity/light sensor and/or the second screen waking...
I recently got the lollipop OS upgrade on my Galaxy S5 and now when I miss a call it could be up to 10 hours before I get a voicemail notification.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my nephew a Curve 8520 only last week. He has hardly used it and now has noticed:
(1) the button movements are delayed,
(2) When you go to dial it makes the button noises but does nothing
(3) won't access blackberry app world
(4) battery running out too quick (hardly any use)
When I bought it from Phones4u it was the last Curve 8520 phone in the shop - the woman brought the box out which was already openend and started to set it up. The phone refused to come on, we had to wait 20 minutes for her to charge it - now I thought that all phones came with a short amount of battery.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a verizon S5 running the stock 4.4.4 no rooting. For the past few weeks maybe a few months I have noticed the typing would get stuck.I was typing and even though I typed 5 words the screen would hold on the second one and after few seconds it would catch up. I have had this happen on a computer before when the cpu or ram was full and busy. As far as I can tell that is not the issue here. At least not as far as I can tell.
My second issue is when I am on the phone and hit speaker, the volume is low. If I hit the volume up it does not change. I can see the bar appear and or move but the actual volume doesn't change. I have even clicked the set up wheel and raised all volumes but no deal. I can play music and control the speaker volume, just not on a call.
Anything to do with dialing, I'll touch the contact I want to dial and it will take up to 20 seconds for the phone to resond. Other times, I'll end up touching the contact twice and by the time it connects, the phone is asking me to merge calls..I'm running 2.2.1 OTA, I'm rooted, but have not made any changes, no ROM's, pretty straight forward. I just took the phone in to a VZW store a few weeks back and they did a full reset on it. Can the dialer cache get full?
View 8 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I purchased a BlackBerry Bold 9780 for personal use, with T-Mobile service. I'm on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879, using BlackBerry Desktop Software v. 6.1.0.35. I set up six email accounts on the BB device; each is a web-based, POP account hosted by GoDaddy, and each is also set up on my desktop computer Outlook (with messages for all six accounts set to be deleted from each host account upon download to Outlook). I am not using BlackBerry Enterprise Server or MS Exchange Server. For a couple of months, everything worked fine. Email received by any of the six accounts was received at about the same time on Outlook and my BB device. Synchronization of Calendar appointments for my BB-device default account worked fine in both directions. (I understand that BlackBerry Desktop Software is incapable of synching appointments from email accounts other than the account set as default on the BB device, which is a significant limitation but not the subject of this post.)Since BB's disastrous outage in October, I have experienced major problems with email received and appointments related to my BB-device default account (only):
1) Email for my BB-device default account that is received in Outlook takes at least two days to push through to my BB device, and is usually never received on the BB device. This problem does not effect the other five email accounts set up on my BB device; all six accounts are hosted by GoDaddy and are owned by me.
2) Calendar appointments do not synchronize in either direction between Outlook and my BB device.
3) Calendar appointments sent from my BB device are frequently not received by recipients.
My emails don't synchronized correctly. I mean, I can check my emails in my computer and the new messages are there, but then I go and check my phone and they are not there even if I request new emails. This seems to happen often. I have deleted the account and add it again sometimes so it can sync correctly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just received 39 texts that were sent 7-8 hours ago. Plus several people said they called my phone and it went straight to voicemail. It's like the phone fell asleep and wasn't connected to the network for hours until I power cycled the phone. In addition many of the delayed texts came in out of order. This is the second time this has happened and I am beginning to think it's either a Photon bug that pops up occassionally or that my phone might be defective. I don't think it's a network issue as nobody else that I know in this area had this problem with other phones.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E72 with software version 071.004. I have some problems with it when I receive SMS messages from anyone. The following situations might happen: The SMS messages arrive delayed with more than one hour or never arrive. The phone shows a "SIM card registration failed" error message and disconnects from the network immediately after the other person sends me the SMS message. In this case I have to switch it off and on again in order for it to reconnect to the GSM network.
This is very bad because most of the times I get disconnected from the network and see it hours later. These problems appeared since the very first releases of the firmware that were running on the phone. I am sure this is not a network problem because I've put my SIM card in another phone and the messages arrive instantly. I am also sure this is not a SIM card problem because I've just renewed my SIM card and the problem is still there. So by eliminating these possible causes I can only suspect the phone!
I can type an entire message and it will take sometimes a few minutes for the phone to "catch up" and fill out all the words I entered.
Reminds me of really old computers - where you can type and the cursor is way behind..
I got my E7 exactly a week back. The phone battery life is very poor. 8-10 hours to the max. What do I do? I am online at annoying time connected to my service provider but 8-10 hours is really bad. Also my emails do not sync immediately only does when I synchronize it. What do I Do? What are the settings for immediate sync?
