I have aCurve 8330. ! have used Outlook Web Access (now App) to get e-mail from my job for more than a year. Last week I got a message that I needed to confirm my password. I was unable to get the system/phone to accept it so I deleted the e-mail address & attempted to set it up from scratch. I have spent 2 hours trying. My employer's IT dept spent an hour and my local cell carrier guru also tried for about an hour. We get a message that there is an error in the data submitted. I know my Web App info works 'cause I can sign on from several computers with no problem. I called tech help at Blackberry where the nice overseas guy told me "you can't use OWA, only normal e-mail addresses". (Since the set up screens still have the forms to do it, I assume he was wrong.) I have had 2 other e-mail addresses push to the phone for over a year which have no problem. (not going through OWA). We have deleted those 2 & reset with no problem. The problem seems to only be related to Web App.
I have a blackberry 8520, it is working fine.. but, strange thing happend though..chronogically its like this..compose an email, write the recipient addresstype the subjectand write whatever messages right.. and so, i would like to attach a file (.doc file)so i press the menu button and choose "attach file"however, the notification poped up saying "The attachment file may be reduced in size."then it just ask me to select pictures from my pictures directory only, and i was unable to browse my .doc file that is located in my documents directory, since there is no "up" option in the menu.
Just started having this problem in the last week. My 8330 won't give me any of my new emails unless I "wake it up" by using the internet. The minute I surf somewhere it'll pop up every single email since the last time I used the net. So for example, I go to bed, and the next morning it won't be showing me any of the emails I received overnight (and I get several every night). If I use the internet to go to to a website, they all come through, bam bam bam.
Also, brand new problem. Just now I tried uploading some things to twitpic and they still haven't gone through. I sent two twitpic emails to my account over an hour ago. Both outgoing emails have clocks beside them (not marked delivered). Twitpic worked 10 hours ago... what is going on?
I have registered for BIS email set up account. My problem is I have forgotten both my username & password for logging on to that account. What possible way can I reset this account?
Is there any free push email service from 3rd party other than the one that comes default with Blackberry?I searched on Google but couldn't find any satisfactory result...some of the services are discontinued.

I"m using pop3 service to my computer and my blackberry cell phone. About 2 days ago, my inmail24 pop3 service start trouble by sending same email to my blackberry cell phone as long I haven"t deleted those email via webmail. this is very annoying, i have to log in to webmail to delete all the inbox so it wont received again in my 9700. however as soon as new emails coming to my inbox, the problem arise again, it received again and again same email. my other email which i connected with push email, did not have any problem, received only once at any email and did not get any duplication received. Also my outlook at my computer is normal, receive all email only once, and did not get any duplication as my blackberry 9700 phones.
I bought a LG G3 a few weeks ago and the same day I upgraded to Lollipop via factory reset before updating, then adding my accounts. I haven't had push email on any account since day one and I've read several threads in where it's claimed there's push email on Lollipop, or at least the gmail app. The lack of complaints about this tells me either it works properly for almost everyone, or it doesn't and few people care. I'd like proper push email, like I have on my Z10, but I can't seem to figure out where the problem lies. When I send myself test email the Z10 sounds off as my finger lifts off my mouse button, and then my desktop as soon as my Z10 goes quiet. Sometime in the next hour my G3 receives the same mail. It's the same result whether on WiFi or carrier connection.
I'm sure this has been asked before so I apologize ahead of time, but I was wondering if there was a way to make your email "push" faster. Right now it takes me sometimes at least 10 minutes to receive an email after it's sent, I was wondering if there's a way to make your email push like every 2 minutes instead of every 10.
Also sometimes when I send an email with my blackberry, the person I send it to receives it as a message with all symbols and not the message I sent. Is this a known problem, or is something wrong with my blackberry?
AFAIU Nokia Messaging may or may not be free depending on the operator, which can charge you for the service.
Pretty much like BlackBerry, albeit in that case all data go through their servers.
If all connections go through your provider's APN, how would Nokia know whether you're connected to Nokia Messaging or to some other server? All data exchange simply count towards your internet bundle, regardless if you use it for mail, internet browsing or whatever else you want to do, doesn't it?
It started happening yesterday, I have push email off but I keep getting new mail in the Inbox. Is it possible that if you have mail app in the multitasking bar it will keep checking for new mail?
The stock email program will not sync new messages unless I open the app. This only occurs on wifi. Works great on cellular data. Have checked all of the settings I can think of.
I've set up gmail, iCloud and ms exchange account on outlook app on my Lumia 950. All emails have the option of push (get emails as they arrive) except foe iCloud. Same account had the push option on my old bb10 phone.
i am thinking of getting the above after 18 happy months with my Blackberry 8900.Can anyone tell me if i can get push email from a server? my friend has set up an email for my website (to be) and i would like my email from this website pushed to my phone. The BB does this with ease! Its a standard incoming POP and outgoing SMTP and i can set this up on Outlook.Dont mind if its an application to buy.
I have an iPhone 4S - my question is about PUSH mail Does iPhone support PUSH only with some email providers - if yes, where can i find a list with these email providers ?! The PUSH feature is provided by iPhone, or by the providers of email hosting ... to be more precise, iPhone can support PUSH as long as the email provider have this feature built-in ?!
I'm having real trouble trying to get any kind of push email on my Nokia E63. I'm in the UK and on firmware 410.21.010 with Nokia Email 9.06.16. According to the Nokia updating site this is the most recent firmware available for my serial number. The email setup just doesn't seem to work at all like the help docs here suggest. I get no option for 'Nokia Email Service' but I do get one for gmail. I can then setup my gmail box OK - but there is no setting for IMAP idle. It only allows me to set up a scheduled retrieval (at best every 5 minutes) and even then only downloads the headers so I have to manually download the message body. Does Nokia really not do push email at all?I've been using emoze as an alternative for a while - but stopped when I found that it was sending random email all by itself. And Mail for Exchange doesn't work with gmail for me - it just stops syncing after a while.
from 13th Feb 2010 2pm onwards am not getting any mails in my fone. am using Nokia e72 already configured my mails. personal and gmail, yahoo, hotmail, yesterday onwards am not getting any mails. am not getting any error message. email also connected with web. no synchronizing. just connected. unable to send and receive message. my data plan is working perfect another web application is working and able to browse in web. still it is not pushing the mail. all the mails not working. Nokia Messaging Service got any bug ? or they holded the service form some time? I'm from india bangalore. please somebody respond me and do the needful warm regards dev
I have removed and re-installed messaging from my device as well as removing and adding my mailbox in the nokia email settings.I can still get PUSH email when i perform a MANUAL sync however it will not push automatically to me despite all of my settings confirmed as being set up correctly.I know i am not alone in this - my Blackberry never has this problem.
This has been an on and off issue since I purchased the iPhone 4. Seems a restart resolves it but I can never be too sure. I don't know what causes it though.
I have 5 accounts setup. My fetch accounts are not fetching. I have to manually go in and let it check, then it finds them.
Anyone else having this issue? It's a little annoying. Anyone know what might be causing it?
Is anyone else experiencing problems with push email notifications using IOS 4.0+? My old 3g, new Iphone 4, and colleagues 3gs (not to mention my wife's old 3g and new 4) all experience lack of push notifications for Yahoo email..
i want to get the pearl 8120. i do not want to sunscribe to a data plan and would like to send and receive emails only through wifi. is this possible to do? if i get a data block on my sim will it still work with just wifi?
It looks like my iphone 4 checks email every 15 min or so even though everything is turned off? The Fetch is set Manually. Under "Advanced" it says If Manual is selected, this account will only check for updates when the application is in use.
But I made sure the Mail is not running on the background, how come it still checks mail?
As a student in college, I constantly email my professors back and forth but waiting 15 minute intervals until my mail refreshes is ridiculous. I can't seem to find a way around this... I have just switch to the iphone from a blackberry which automatically pushed my email on its arrive to the server, so this is extremely annoying that I have to wait or manually push my mail. I mainly use my college email account which is not associated with g-mail, hotmail, yahoo etc.
I've been reading a lot about Nokia Messaging and some sources say that it is a real push email service like BIS but some say that it needs to maintain an active connection all the times to ensure instantenous delivery of email. What's the truth? When I choose 'push' on my Nokia E72, it is connected to the internet all the time and only pretends to be real push, but I was wondering whether it's because my operator is not supported. Also, what difference does it make when your operator supports Nokia Messaging? As far as I know, my operator is not supported, but I easily set up Nokia Messaging with my Nokia E72. So, doesn't it mean that the only thing required for the Nokia Messaging to work is a data plan? Why does Nokia make announcements about starting to offer Nokia Messaging in countries where there already is internet in mobile phones?
So, I've had my Bold 9700 for one week exactly. It's my first BB ever. I love it. Very fast and slick.I'm on T-mobile UK and the email address I can create within my BIS login (ending in @instantemail.t-mobile.co.uk) is generally very fast. A new message will reach my phone in 10 seconds or less.
However, my Virgin mail account appears to be less solid, with emails arriving in 10-30 minutes. Is there anything I can do about this? Can I contact my Virgin (my home ISP) about it and can they do anything? I know I can forward mail from that address to the fast email address, but I find this complicating.
I've read that disabling push for email saves a bit of battery so I have it set to fetch every hour.
My question is, I have push activated for the official Facebook app on my phone so would enabling push for the iphone email client make any difference to battery life as I have it enabled for facebook anyway?
