Dec 26, 2012I have installes PDF Reader app by Microsoft, but when try to open the PDF attachment in email, get fokkowing error. Error Unable to open document.

Jan 1, 2013I upgraded from an N8 to the Lumia 920.I weekly receive work emails which have attached to them either xls, doc or PDF files which I was able to open directly with my N8 with Quick office or Adobe PDF reader. Not only that, I could download and store the said documents straight to my phone and open with the Microsoft apps too.On the Lumia I'm unable to do either, even though this has Office 365.I'm unable to open any attachment straight from email with it's inbuilt office suite.I do own Office 2010 on my PC, but what do I need to do to integrate with Office 365?When I added my email address it just duplicated the account and still didn't open attachments?

Mar 19, 2012I am brand new to the Nokia 710 and I have my AOL email account linked up to the phone. I am able to send and recieve emails just fine.My problem is that when I try to open/download any attachments like a Word or PDF document that are in the emails, they never open. They start to open but never do. I can open these attachements on my old Palm Pixi rather quickly and without any trouble so I know it is not the files that are the problem.
I've searched both this USA forum and the UK one and didn't see anyone else with the same issue... so did I not set up something properly with the phone?

I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?

Jun 25, 2012I just upgraded from ios ver 4.something to 5.1.1 on my Iphone 4. I can't open any mail attachments (Jpegs, excel, pdf's). When I click on an attachment it shows that it is downloading the file and then when it is done, the attachment icon blinks and nothing happens. It used to work fine before - I have 2 gmail accounts setup on my phone -they've been on my phone for the past 1yr and working fine. Rebooted the phone by pressing home and power. I deleted the accounts and re-installed with no luck. I went into Mail settings and set images to auto load - no luck. Turned wifi on and off I desperately need this for my work - I've been using Safari to login into Gmail.

#1 when on my internet browser, it sometimes requires me to zoom in and sometimes click a link severel times before it will actually go to that link. I am wondering if its something to do with the new verizon update or if my phone is messed up?
#2 I cannot open any attachments in my email anymore. Any jpeg, pic, or pdf attachments pull up saying my phone does not support those attachments.

May 19, 2010I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.

Aug 30, 2010We purchased two 9800 Torch phones and both are having the same issue. Word, Excel, and PDF files all open fine on the devices. However, some emails will be received with attachments but the phone does not give the open or download attachment options. If you forward the message from the device, the attachment will still be attached. The issue is intermittent and I have not been able to pin down any consistently as I have received several emails with attachments successfully. The emails that will not give the attachment options also do not have the little paperclip on the email icon from the messages view. Again, hen this exact email is forwarded the attachment will arrive at the destination.
BES version 4.1.7.19
Both users had no issues on prior devices with multiple attachments opened daily.

Jun 14, 2010I have two separate business e mail accounts running on my E75. One uses mail for exchange and the other connects directly. I understand this is the maximum number of accounts I can have, so have to connect to my hotmail account via the web browser. None of that is a problem. The problem is that I can't open attachments sent to me by hotmail on my phone. i can see them at the top of the message but I can't click on them and open them. The phone is normally good at opening attachments on my work e mail addresses (word, excel, pdf etc) but with Hotmail there seems to be nowhere to click.

Jun 6, 2010I was trying to send 2 pictures(total size abt 2MB) as an email attachment using my IMAP mailbox and mail reached outbox, but it never sent out. Since this attempt my mailbox behaves wierdly and does not sync emails properly. So I removed the mailbox and I set it up again. Still there are few issues with sync but atleast emails are coming & going.
Also I tried again to send a very small size file as an attachment but in the compose email screen when I do attach the file, nothing happens and it automatically comes out of the mailbox. The email is saved in drafts folder with no attachment . can someone confirm if attachments are support by E72 email client ?I am on 031.023 FW and I have set up email using 'Other' option in the Set Email wizard.

Sep 29, 2012I have been trying to access Yahoo email thru the Browser on the Lumia 800 phone. Every time I access the [URL] website and enter my login name and password and submit, I repeatedly get the same page again and again which asks me to verify my password. There seems to be a software error in the Lumia 800. I have contacted the Nokia helpline which was unhelpful as usual. This time, they informed me that this error IS possible while accessing Yahoo email thru the browser and that no solution is possible. The only suggestion they had was to use the synchronization method to access the Yahoo mailbox - but this solution is not feasible for either accessing the older emails and or for sending file attachments.
