Just got a new Tour because the original one had trackball issues. I uploaded everything to my new tour and re-setup my email. Since then I have been unable to open email attachments. This is the error message I have been getting: More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found. I have also not been able to receive calendar requests.

#1 when on my internet browser, it sometimes requires me to zoom in and sometimes click a link severel times before it will actually go to that link. I am wondering if its something to do with the new verizon update or if my phone is messed up?
#2 I cannot open any attachments in my email anymore. Any jpeg, pic, or pdf attachments pull up saying my phone does not support those attachments.
I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.

I get the same error message each time - 'Your device had a problem connecting to the server'.I am running 4.7.1.61 on an unlocked Tour 9630, using a SIM card for a local provider.I have restarted the device and re-registered new service books.I have run a diagnostic test - it shows all connections to BlackBerry services - registration, connected to BlackBerry and PIN-PIN 'abort' yet I receive email on the existing account and can send PIN messages, etc.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from ios ver 4.something to 5.1.1 on my Iphone 4. I can't open any mail attachments (Jpegs, excel, pdf's). When I click on an attachment it shows that it is downloading the file and then when it is done, the attachment icon blinks and nothing happens. It used to work fine before - I have 2 gmail accounts setup on my phone -they've been on my phone for the past 1yr and working fine. Rebooted the phone by pressing home and power. I deleted the accounts and re-installed with no luck. I went into Mail settings and set images to auto load - no luck. Turned wifi on and off I desperately need this for my work - I've been using Safari to login into Gmail.

I upgraded from an N8 to the Lumia 920.I weekly receive work emails which have attached to them either xls, doc or PDF files which I was able to open directly with my N8 with Quick office or Adobe PDF reader. Not only that, I could download and store the said documents straight to my phone and open with the Microsoft apps too.On the Lumia I'm unable to do either, even though this has Office 365.I'm unable to open any attachment straight from email with it's inbuilt office suite.I do own Office 2010 on my PC, but what do I need to do to integrate with Office 365?When I added my email address it just duplicated the account and still didn't open attachments?

I am able to send and recieve emails just fine.My problem is that when I try to open/download any attachments like a Word or PDF document that are in the emails, they never open. They start to open but never do. I can open these attachements on my old Palm Pixi rather quickly and without any trouble so I know it is not the files that are the problem.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe purchased two 9800 Torch phones and both are having the same issue. Word, Excel, and PDF files all open fine on the devices. However, some emails will be received with attachments but the phone does not give the open or download attachment options. If you forward the message from the device, the attachment will still be attached. The issue is intermittent and I have not been able to pin down any consistently as I have received several emails with attachments successfully. The emails that will not give the attachment options also do not have the little paperclip on the email icon from the messages view. Again, hen this exact email is forwarded the attachment will arrive at the destination.

Yesterday, I bought a BlackBerry Tour 9630 from Verizon Wireless with the new 5.0.0.591 patch (at least I think that's the newest). Either way, the phone is great, I love it. I had no problems with it yesterday at all. I installed the software from the CD it came with onto my computer, connected my phone, updated it, etc. After messing with all that I went to sleep and woke up that morning with texts from my girlfriend. For a while we could respond back and fourth with no issues whatsoever.
However at one point, she sent me a text and I couldn't open it. I could see the preview of it (where it says "Blah blah blah..." with the 3 periods) but when I clicked it, it wouldn't open. So I randomly clicked a few things to get the conversation open and when I get it open the place where it text should be is blank. All it has is the ">" showing it to be her text. Yet I can still see the preview of the text. Now, I can't get any texts opened from her nor can I read them in the conversations. So I did my research, looked online and found this to be a fairly common problem but with no real, concrete fixes. It could potentially be either a BlackBerry problem (most likely with the new 5.0 patch) or a Verizon Wireless problem. Part of me wants to think it is more likely the patch but I have no way to be sure of that.
So I need to know if there are any real solutions to this. Should I just go to the Verizon Wireless store and see if they can fix it seeing as how it might not even be a Verizon problem? I'm not sure what they can do to a patch BlackBerry sent out. Any temporary fixes or soft resets or hard resets or whatever I do only work for about a text or two and then it goes back to failing again. I'm not sure what to do or when this problem will be fixed or have a solution.
I have a curve 8520 & ever since I upgraded the to OS 5 I have been unable to open email attachments as the option isn't there. I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. How do I go about installing the attachment service?
View 1 Replies View RelatedTried to take a screenshot but I can't get Quicklaunch to open in Picture Folders.I was using Media Sync to take some selected pictures off my Tour and put them on my PC. I noticed when I was done all contents of my Picture Folders were on my PC. So I reversed the process with Media Sync to get my Wallpaper images back on the Tour. I specifically ticked off only the images I wanted to transfer back to Tour. Long story short every freakin' picture I had taken off the Tour transferred back (which I didn't want), along with Wallpaper (which I did want). Also pics were duplicated. First set went into designated folders they came from, duplicate pics were just sitting there not in a designated folder.(I deleted the dups). But I don't know how/why "user" or "Music" landed in Picture Folders and I'm not sure if it's safe to remove?

Tour 9630 Telus, Out of the blue I am not able to open blackberry messages (they are received fine) and I cannot start a new conversation with a contact. When I click on the contacts name nothing happens, if I try to "open chat" nothing happens. The only way to send a message is to "Broadcast Message". I have no problems with email or SMS.

Delete On: Prompt
Wireless Reconcile: On
On Conflicts: Mailbox Wins
Any help would be really appreciated. I know other people have reported this problem w. different OS's on different phones.
Just did a battery pull with OS 5.0.0.419 and for the first time since the upgrade there was no email about registering with the network after the unit booted up!! Maybe it stops after a while.
