Motorola Triumph :: Unable To View Email Attachments?
Aug 19, 2011
I am unable to view e-mail attachments at my hotmail account. As i open them, i get the 'Fetching attachment' notification followed by 'This attachment cannot be displayed'. I never had any such issues with LG Optimus V. Also that when i forward the attachment to my gmail account, i have no issues opening it.
Last week, I found out that all the contacts, bookmarks, email & text messages on my blackberry had been deleted. Since then, I have not been able to send emails. Just now, I was able to send a service book to my phone from the blackberry website. I got emails from 'Activation server' and I confirm that I can now send and receive mails. The challenge now is that I cannot view attachments in my email. Each time I try, the following error comes up: 'MORE REQUEST CANNOT BE COMPLETED. SERVICE BOOK INFORMATION NOT FOUND'
We both have the same unit and service provider. What happened is that I received an email with multiple attachments. The attachments can be seen from MS Outlook 2010 but on my blackberry, the email opens up without any attachments being shown. I had to press the Blackberry button to show more options and select "Get Plain Text" and it will re-render the email and now show the attachments that came with the email. If I had not seen the email on Outlook prior to viewing it on my Blackberry, I would have thought that the email came with no attachment at all.On the otherhand, my colleague experienced the same problem with viewing an email with multiple attachments and he had to select "Get HTML" instead.Any thoughts as to why multiple attachments don't show up and we have to select "Get HTML" or "Get Plain Text" to make it appear?
got the 3.2 update for my 3g Xoom. And now when using my exchange account I can no longer view attachments from email. I have to save the file to the device and view with the aid of a file reader. It worked flawlessly before but now seem broken.
I have had my phone activated for at least 6 hours and I am unable to use 3G data, it doesn't even load the Virgin Mobile page. WiFi works fine, and I am able to place/receive calls and send/receive texts. Bluetooth also works. I have no other issues with the phone, it's just the 3G data. Is it defective or is there a way to fix it
Cannot understand why my 9790 will not forward email attachments after I have viewed same on my device? Attachment is a pdf which I opened in Basic Viewer not Docs.
I am unable to open my email attachments regardless of jpeg, txt or pdf formats. The error message received is "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".I am actually trying to open a jpeg attachment.
I have never had a problem opening email attachments on my torch until yesterday. I have rebooted and made sure all my device software is up to date and still no joy.
After yesterday's update, skype video calling now works on the triumph. It does not show in the supported devices list, but I have tested it and was able to videoconference.
I was just wondering if there was any way to turn off getting a notification every time I get an email.I don't want to have to turn my phone on silent every night, just in case I get a call I should answer in the morning or something. But I get woken up every night when I get my Groupon emails and stuff, and it's driving me crazy!
I want to stop the phone from making a noise every time I get an email. But I don't want to silence it completely (I still want it to ring when I get a call).
I have tried plugging in the phone with the HDMI cord to the HDMI port on the TV and and I get nothing,I plug the power cable along with the HDMI cord to the TV and nothing,I tried looking for an app that would do this but it suppose to do it on its own, I tried the same HDMI cord on a different motorola android phone and it worked.Bestbuy wants me to go back for the third time to troubleshoot this, anyone having this same problem?
I have the Motorola Triumph with Virgin. Does anyone know why skype randomly starts up> And I have to on have to go to Manage apps to always exit the app any thoughts, and any ideas on when we will be able to do video talk with skype
I have a curve 8520 & ever since I upgraded the to OS 5 I have been unable to open email attachments as the option isn't there. I have found out that the Attachment Service is no longer installed on my handset & when connected to the Desktop Manager it is not in the application list so there is no option to install it. How do I go about installing the attachment service?
Is there anyone out there that can help with this? I have only had my phone for about 40 days (10 days past Radio Shack's return policy, unfortunately), and beginning 3 or 4 days ago my phone stopped consistently charging. I would put it on the charger and it would look like it is working for a few minutes, then simply stop charging. I have tried 3 different chargers with the same results-- one with a USB connection to my computer, one in my car, and one plugged into a wall.I already exchanged this Triumph once because of serious software glitches including a keyboard that wouldn't always type. I am starting to feel like perhaps this isn't the phone for me, but it feels terrible to feel like I have been cheated $300 for a phone that doesn't want to work.
Besides us waiting for some sign of a software update to address the issues with our Motoroloa Triumph, does anyone else find it curious how difficult it is to find the accessories for the Triumph? I mean, it's impossible to find something by going to the Motorola Store for the phone. However, if you circumnavigate the site and search on all Android Phones, and find the one phone for Virgin Mobile (by carrier), then find the teeny tiny link for Accessories, one does determine there is a BT headset and also a car charger. But wait, the car charger isn't even available yet.
It's not good commentary that there isn't Motorola badged batteries and car chargers and earbuds, Micro HDMI to HDMI cables, USB charging cables available for the product from Motorola, when clearly, this stuff is available on eBay. And I've recently purchased a very good OEM Motorola Charger and USB charging cables... so the question becomes, where is Motorola's support for the phone? I propose someone feedback to Motorola that besides waiting for needed SW updates, we could use a little product support in the way of accessories.
I have spent number hours on the phone w/tech support. My orig phone wouldn't save my #s to reactivate. I was constantly having to reactivate via tech support to no avail. I am not able to upload photos or videos and send them via email or text msg, but they will upload to FB. I received a replacement phone yesterday. Uploaded and sent 1 photo via text and it seemed to work. Shut off phone last night and this morning when I turned it on it said I need to reactivate. I did it without having to call tech support but just tried to upload and send a photo via text and it won't do it.
I am unable to download, view or save zip attachments. I cannot do it in gmail or the stock email app using a pop account. There is no view, preview, download, or save button. There is only an "info" button in both the gmail and stock email apps. When I select "Info" it says this file cannot be downloaded or saved.
I have tried several different file managers including ES, Astro, AndroZip and All Downloads but still get the same result. All other attachments work fine
I just got the BB torch.. and when I try to open a PDF attachment in an email.. I get the following message: "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".
From what I've read around on the internet, PDF files in attachments can be viewed through the BlackBerry operating system attachment viewer.
I cannot save attachments to the phone or to my external SD card, which is not encrypted. I have no Exchange 2010 security policies blocking attachments. ICS is not set to encrypt anything. I use NitroDesk TouchDown, which also has no saving restrictions or encryption set.I go through the process of Save, or Save All, and try to save, or create a new folder in which to save, and then click to save the file. I can see the new folder I created, but there is never a file saved. Rebooting does not make it show, nor does dismounting and remounting the SD card.Probably related to the above problem, if I have an email in TD with an attachment, for example a DOCX file, I can open it in Documents to Go, but if I do a Save As from there, it will not let me save it anywhere. If I use Docs to Go and create a new Word doc, I can save it anywhere I choose, so it is as though TD will not let me manipulate my attachments.
Galaxy 5S - have had for several months, no problems. In last week, I am finding that I cannot view attachments to emails I receive. I am using Email app that came with phone, running two accounts - one personal Hotmail account and one business account that is Outlook based and IMAP on phone. PC access to both accounts is fine - can view all attachments. Hotmail on phone - with PDF attachment, selecting "preview" gets me "Cannot display PDF (XXXX is of invalid format). Selecting "download" gets me the file downloaded, but again, I cannot open. I open attachments with Polaris and have had no problems for months. I can even open older downloaded PDFs with Polaris still. Problem is only for PDFs I've received in last week. Hotmail on phone - with Word attachment, I can get it to "open," but then document is blank.
Once again, I shouldn't need to download Adobe or some other PDF reader. Everything was absolutely FINE until 3 or 4 days ago. The issues seemed to coincide with a change to appearance and operation of Outlook on my PC, but don't know if there is correlation.
