Nokia Nseries :: Sent Email Box Empty Even Though Hsve Snet An Email?
Oct 28, 2010
On my Nokia N8 once I've sent an email I cannot see it again in my 'sent' box. I know that people are receiving the emails but I have no record of them.
I am using ios 5.1. When I check mail I have a few emails that are dated 1/1/70 have no sender no subject and no content. And the phone won't let me delete them. It just doesn't give me the delete option for those emails.
i have tried everything i know and read. every time i delete all unwanted emails (google mail) firstly it reads no conversation, then i can go to another folder, when i come back to the trash folder all the deleted items are back again. ive synced, unsynced, synced now, deleted, removed account then restored, trash folder is empty on my comp bout will not empty on my phone.
According to tech support, the only way to empty the android email trash bin is to delete each email individually. With over 3000 email in trash, my thumbs would probably fall off.
Does anyone know of a way to completely empty the trash bin. Failing that, anyone know of an app that can empty the trash bin?
I have the icon showing up that I received emails but the inbox are empty. When I pull the battery the icon goes away. With the next regular email the icon shows up again. I don't want to have to pull the battery every time I have an empty inbox.
i cant delete the empty albums on my phone i have noticed that it is only albums that are sent across from itunes i have tried everything formated memory an done a factory reset but they are still there
Unfortunately, I made the error of upgrading my N8 to belle. Among many other DISASTERS of this ***bleep*** system, when I now connect the phone to my computer (in any way you like: mass storage, OVI, Bluetooth, either in MAC or Windows ambients) there is no way of seeing ALL the photos I have in the telephone. Some of them appear, some don't.
could you tell whether there is any way of seeing and transferring them all?
just acknowledge the fact that you inserted a BIG BUG (actually, more than one, but let's talk about this one for the moment) in belle. Believe me: having lost the possibility of transferring photos is little more than extremely annoying.
i have nokia n8 the device turned off after empty battery then i installed the charger such as the habit of before then i waited a littel bit of time and then cam the writing nokia .then comes the five pointes that bleaching series lengh of time at now every thing is ok as you think but i say no after that i try turned it on but the five points that bleaching series lengght of time .then stop five points for glow period of time then re-glare five points of a new glow then stop then re-process for four times then switches off the device i try pushe at button (off / on ) 8 secends then felling 3 times vibrate ...but no thing hapen always same proplem nokia my device not want go to home screen !this problem happened to me after belle refresh update ( before the update was normal the battery is disharged and re without any problems ) nokia pleas dont tell me go to nokia care centre beceuse we have no on in algeria
I am not getting email notification in my nokia n8, not even notification sound. Every i have to refresh my email account to check for new mails. How can i enable the email notification sound in my n8?
I want to know if Emails can now be saved in mass memory on N8 with Nokia Belle. Using the limited C: drive space is not an option as it gets full too fast.
I am thinking of this [URL]../8794I emailed the email contact shown on the website and it bounces back It is below, together with my questions.*I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could notbe delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You candelete your own text from the attached returned message. [URL].. User unknown (in reply to RCPT TO command)Hello,I am looking at this free app but wonder if this is what already comes with the Nokia 700 phone? What I would like, which the default email app doesn't do, is1) set up a default BCC field, so that every email I write is automatically BCCd to myself2) when deleting an incoming email, be able to delete it from the POP server also. The email app on the Nokia E51 did all of that.
I get the message "Nokia Messaging subscription is required to use mail on this phone contact your operator" When i try to set up my email accounts with my new nokia N8
I then get prompted for email and password, but i don't get anny options for Gmail, Yahoo etc, and the only option is "mail for exchange" and that doesn't work with the gmail account.
Could it be that my email account has a "." in it... im running out of options here... have done a factory reset and everything.
Ive got a Nokia 808 PureView which i really like but i do have one problem which is really bugging me. I cant seem to find a way of getting any email notifications, when i have a missed call or a new text message the lock screen shows this but it doesnt show anything for new emails. Is this the way Nokia have done it or am i just being stupid and cant find the right setting to turn notifications on?
What is this Exchange Activesync? It only allows me to have one single email account in my 808, and it ask for username and domain when I try to add an email account...it forces me to write something in one of those field to let me go on... I have Hotmail...and it do let me sync and find my hotmail account just with my address written with password...and if I write for ex. a "O" in the domain field...but why? And why does it onlt let me sync one account? In my old N8 I could synd how many emails accounts I wanted and I just needed to chooce which type of account I had for ex. Hotmail, Gmail or something else...and I could have two withdgets ontop of eachother with different email accont in them....how do I get that on this new 808??
Is there another program than the so called "Exchange Activesync" to down load and use...like the old N8īs email program. If I cant not have my two hotmails accounts synced in my 808 it is totally worseless for me!
After my N700 updated the software to ver 112.010.1404 , my email is now gone & when I tried to open it , the system hang with a blank screen ! I have already tried the "remove the battery & wait 10 mins before putting it back" a few times but no differents
when i get an email which contains a link to a page, lets say to confirm my email address, when i push the link it won start the web to show the content of the page.as for fascinate, when someone on news feed posts a link to a video on Internet, or an article on a page on the internet, it wont do anything. just like with the email.can this be because of the netqin?
My web broswer and email is working fine in gprs service..My wifi connection also working fine in opera, facebook and other applications. But my web browser and email is not working in wifi connection.. Do i have to change any settings.
After installing Microsoft Apps on Nokia 700 (111.030.0609) the standard email client changed look and feel. And it just refuses to open url links from html mail.I removed Microsoft Apps, but old email client styling was not restored.I made hard reset, but the client is the same. Please, how can I get my old email client back? I don't like the new white background and changed buttons.
It's a couple of days that my newest 808 PureView fails to set up email accounts via the "Nokia Mail" option.
I choose the "other" email option to set up my university email, and after putting all the account information and settings, I get this error message:
"Cannot enable the mail service that allows you to fully experience your favorite providers because connection to the mail server is not possible with the settings provided.
Select 'Next' to set up mailbox without this service. You can attempt to connect to the server by adjusting the mailbox settings later."
I have noticed several other posts about this here and in other forums, but I didn't find any solutions. (I saw a post about setting the date/time correctly, which is correct in my case, and to not use Wi-Fi, which I tried as well, but the problem is still there).
I was able to easily setup my emails on my previous 808 phones and my N8 and other Symbian phones.
I am unable to use Nokia Messaging service push email service on my Nokia after Belle Refresh install. I did a clean install and when ever I try to add email accounts its automatically taking IMAP or POP3 setup and not prompting me to use Nokia Messaging Service to send/receive email.IMAP / POP3 is fast but uses lots of data compared to Nokia Messaging Service (which is free from my provider and will not count towards data usage). I started noticing this problem since yesterday afternoon.
