After my N700 updated the software to ver 112.010.1404 , my email is now gone & when I tried to open it , the system hang with a blank screen ! I have already tried the "remove the battery & wait 10 mins before putting it back" a few times but no differents

With the update of Microsoft applications email client is not working. Two icons namely..freestyleemail and email widget..have cropped up...and unfortunately none are working as on clicking icons dpn't open or response.

I then get prompted for email and password, but i don't get anny options for Gmail, Yahoo etc, and the only option is "mail for exchange" and that doesn't work with the gmail account.
Could it be that my email account has a "." in it... im running out of options here... have done a factory reset and everything.

I cant seem to find a way of getting any email notifications, when i have a missed call or a new text message the lock screen shows this but it doesnt show anything for new emails. It only allows me to have one single email account in my 808, and it ask for username and domain when I try to add an email account...it forces me to write something in one of those field to let me go on... I have Hotmail...and it do let me sync and find my hotmail account just with my address written with password...and if I write for ex. a "O" in the domain field...but why? And why does it onlt let me sync one account? In my old N8 I could synd how many emails accounts I wanted and I just needed to chooce which type of account I had for ex. Hotmail, Gmail or something else...and I could have two withdgets ontop of eachother with different email accont in them....how do I get that on this new 808??
Is there another program than the so called "Exchange Activesync" to down load and use...like the old N8īs email program. If I cant not have my two hotmails accounts synced in my 808 it is totally worseless for me!

I kept trying for over three hours yesterday, and again today. So, I tried to install via "Check for Updates" on the phone itself, but this says "No updates". Is there a way around this?

View 10 Replies View Relatedafter an update with Nokia suite yesterday night my N8 wont start anymore. after initiating the update (25.xxx) it was downloading and starting the update. after a while it end with an errormessage. I do exactly remember but it was something like critical connection error. remove cable and restart the telefon for restoring your N8. After this the update will continue. But nothing like this happens. The n8 wont start. It vibrates on time and the display stays black. When i connect with USB cable, the windows USB connection sound appears and after about 5 seconds the disconnection sound appears. thats all. The charging LED is flashing for a while and after about 1 minute this also stops. Pressing the on/off button for abput 10 sec its vibrating 3 times and thats it. I bought this N8 in Libya. It had an aribic language set. I dont do any flashing or other experiments. But some days before i installed some Qt installation files manualy from the Qt symbian 3 development kit on the phone. I have done this for testing some small test applications which i produced with this kit. Maybe these causes the corruption of the phone. But the main question is how to wake up the phone? In the country where i am now is no Nokia service center available. But when i connect with USB cable two device driver are activated with name Nokia parent/generic flashing device

I don't like it at all, I know I can't disable emoticons, but can I remove the entire update I made?
