I am using ios 5.1. When I check mail I have a few emails that are dated 1/1/70 have no sender no subject and no content. And the phone won't let me delete them. It just doesn't give me the delete option for those emails.
i cant delete the empty albums on my phone i have noticed that it is only albums that are sent across from itunes i have tried everything formated memory an done a factory reset but they are still there
I have a empty SMS text message that will not delete. I click delete and also have done delete prior and its gone, but as soon as I pull my battery and it turns on its there again.

i have tried everything i know and read. every time i delete all unwanted emails (google mail) firstly it reads no conversation, then i can go to another folder, when i come back to the trash folder all the deleted items are back again. ive synced, unsynced, synced now,deleted, removed account then restored, trash folder is empty on my comp bout will not empty on my phone.
According to tech support, the only way to empty the android email trash bin is to delete each email individually. With over 3000 email in trash, my thumbs would probably fall off.
Does anyone know of a way to completely empty the trash bin. Failing that, anyone know of an app that can empty the trash bin?
There is oneemail msg in my mailbox that whenever I try to delete it it freezes up my mail program and then my entire iPad . I have to shutdown and restart to use the iPad.
I have the icon showing up that I received emails but the inbox are empty. When I pull the battery the icon goes away. With the next regular email the icon shows up again. I don't want to have to pull the battery every time I have an empty inbox.

How do I delete an email account that does not exist in my email accoutn set up. I deleted all my email accounts from setup but on my homepage the email accoutn still shows up and I cant delete it.
In earlier IOS versions, I could select the trashcan icon within the email itself OR I could swipe right to left and have the option of "delete". Now a right to left swipe gives me the "More" option and from there I have to select the "Move" option and then the trash. Is there a way to get back to a one-step way of deleting email. I'm using Gmail on an iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.2.Â
I just set up an exchange email with my outlook on my pc. We do not use gmail. I want to be able to have my calendar and contacts sync automatically. However, if I delete mail from my phone, I do NOT want it deleted from my computer.
I have a godaddy email account from a previous employer. I know how to delete an email account, however when I try to do this with this particular email account I do not have a delete button. How else can I delete an account?
When I was using a Blackberry with Email, I was able to deleted email on the phone display, but leave it so I can download messages to computer. Now when I delete from phone they are gone!
