I just got a new bold and I haven't had any problems except for I get a ton of emails from a server saying it is connecting to my device. it look like this.. network@etp1109.etp.na.blackberry.net
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
How do I get this to stop? It is so annoying and happens like 50 times a day.
So my individual email account on our web server recently got messed up. All emails up to a certain date (let's say Sept 2012) were wiped out. My backups are spotty, there's no copies of my emails on the server, nor on any device (all my devices are IMAP'ed to the web server).
My blackberry has a copy of all my emails, but I don't know how to copy them back onto the server. Is there any way I can reconcile it up through IMAP? Or can I export it to Outlook, and then force it there back onto the server?
I recently upgraded to a Bold 9650 with Sprint.I have BES for work, but am using the Internet Browser and can access the internet just fine.I am also able to use Google Maps just fine. When I try to use Blackberry Maps, I just get grey lines (no data downloaded). My GPS appears to work fine, as the app can find satellites and my location it just does not download/draw the maps. When I try a search for either a zip code or a city, I get a message that says "Request to server failed". I have deleted and reinstalled Blackberry Maps without resolution.I have also deleted the Blackberry Maps service book, but that did not resolve the issue either (it reappears after restart, so I assume it has re-downloaded a new service book). I have also contacted my company's IT, and they confirmed that the company does not block Blackberry Maps through the BES. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get my Blackberry Maps to communicate with the server? Could this be an issue with the WiFi or SIM (since Sprint is CDMA)? I have found similar issues online, but none with Sprint and none with a successful resolution.
i just got my bold today and i download twitter and facebook. it says a reset is required so i click reboot. and now it gets halfway through and a white screen pops up with black letters for a second or two and it starts over.
Morning cb community...I've got a weird issue going on...not an annoyance or deal breaker just curious. Anyways lately and randomly my phones ringtone for my yahoo email goes off and there isn't an email. It vibrates and the berrybuzz led and color goes off too. The weird thing is is that there isn't even an unread email indicator with the number. The phone just goes off. Its weird. I've done battery pulls and stuff. Any thoughts? It just has me wondering. It doesn't do it for my sprint.blackberry.net email just my yahoo email.
Update last week and then one email address won't work. When I contacted server provider, they gave me server to use, port, etc. but I cannot change those on my Blackberry. (Or can't find out where to do it). When I delete and add the email address, it doesn't give me the option to put in the popmail address, or designate the proper server and port. Tried to do it on the computer but phone won't allow me to do it.
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.
I know I've had to do this before but for the life of me can't find where to change the settings. I used to have an option to delete e-mail on the handset or both handset and mailbox. Now, for some reason, it only gives me delete as an option. I like being able to delete on BB only for some things and on both for junk. I know it will come to me but you guys are faster.
If anyone has any words of wisdom. I used my desktop manager to switch the devices. I went to my setup wizard and for some reason it will not let me add my user name or password. I tried adding the complete email address and just the user name. No go. It seems that I have had this little problem before I cannot remember how to fix it.
New to the forums, new to blackberry. I currently have an HTC Incredible, but thinking about making the switch because the battery and i'm missing the physical QWERTY.I have never had a blackberry before, I was wondering how the e-mail displays? On my HTC it displays just like if I were looking on the web, images and everything...is blackberry the same?Time sensitive because my 30 days is up tomorrow! I would like to return my phone today to just be sure while I wait for the bold.
Ok so really a bit frustrating there REALLY should be an option to turn on and off email accounts. Its kinda ridiculous that you have to go through a bunch of steps and jump through hoops the turn off an email account. Or just delete it. When Im at work I dont need to emails to go to the phone and I just end having to delete a bunch of them. Ok rant off heres my problem. I looked in the BB instruction to stop forwarding message to my phone and it told me how to do it. It says go into messages, then open the menu, go to options, email settings and tell the phone to stop forwarding emails. Problem is I don't have that option. Whats the deal?By the way I tried to get into my BIS account online and it said It wasn't available and I had to access settings on the phones.
I have been using my device without any problems, but yesterday I received a message saying that an upgrade to my Blackberry software was available. Foolishly, I agreed to it. The upgrade erased all of my settings and wiped out my photos. The upgrade set things so that the device was acting as a brand new device.
After hours of struggle, I was able to reset everything EXCEPT for my link to my earthlink email. When I go into the email setup wizard, I am asked to enter my email password. The email address is already there. When I enter the password, I get the message, "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again."
Something has changed and I can no longer receive e-mail on my Blackberry. The e-mail icons still appear on my home screen. When they are selected, either the mail, or the aol.com icon, my texts message history is what appears. It is like there has been a disconnect between the icon and the application.
Can't disable this for email, just sms, etc.how it's annoying is when i try to abbreviate something like "MN" for Minnesota; i'll type MN and it'll change it to MINUTE. quite annoying. i know i can hit del after and it'll get rid of it, but it's not as smooth as it sounds, and seems to keep a space after, or input a period, or something unnatural.it seems to me the only way to disable this is to physically delete the entry in the autotext entries, but that is rather permanent, Why they don't make a disable autotext option for email but for everything else is beyond me.any suggestions for me?
I have my own URL which has mail boxes associated with it which my family and I use for our personal email. The URL/Mailboxes are hosted by GoDaddy. Beginning overnight night before last I stopped receiving email from my personal/primary email account on my BB, email is still downloading to Outlook on my PC. I have two other email accounts that I receive emails on setup on my BB, I tested both and they are both working. I have tried a number of things to no avail. They include:Battery Pull Send test email Check BIS site to see if email address needed re-validation. NOT! Resend Service Books Send test email Re-register on network via Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table <It was suggested that I would find a "Blackberry Key" in the Host Routing Table but didn't find it. I pressed the BB key and selected "Register Now". I got a message that my device had been registered on the network. Resend Servcie Books Send test email That was last night. This morning I had received one email overnight, interestingly it was the same email I recieved the night before. (It is a morning devotional the I get daily. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something?) I tried another test email, no go.
I then logged into BIS again, I re-entered my password for my account, then in looking at the "Advanced Options" I noticed again that the mail server is a RIM server. I tried to change it to my mail server, the one I use in Outlook, which is a POP3 protocol server. It would not take. I tried to change the server from IMAP to POP3, thinking that the reason for non acceptance was a difference in protocols, but could find no way to do that. The server reset back to the RIM server, and I saved with the re-entered password. I then resent the Service Books again and then sent a test email which again didn't work.I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have, the end of the rope is in sight.Sorry for such a long email, didn't know how else to give enough info to show what had been done.
My wife asked me for a Blackberry to access her work email. She works for the local school system and drives between different schools several times a day to treat disabled children. Parents sometimes email her to tell her that their kid is not going to be at a specific school at a a certain time and she ends up driving to a specific place for nothing because she couldn't access her messages. So I bought her a Bold last week tro help her with this problem. At a regular computer, she first has to log to the school's system website, then click on their link to gmail, enter an user name and finally a password. The website appear tiny on the screen and it's really slow to load. And there are some obscure security warnings in there IT people on the school system are clueless to help her.
Won't bore you with all the details, but I am now on my second Bold in four days, and the email icons for the accounts I have set up are not populating. I'm referring to the branded icons, not the generic BB envelope/globe icons. I've sent service books and done battery pulls. Has anyone else ever had this problem upon initial set up? I have now experienced the same issue with two different devices.
We have a user who is having issues with email notifications. They utilize over 50 subfolders. The issue is that they do not want to have to go through all 50 folders trying to figgure out which ones have new email in them. Is there a menu option on the phone to show which folders have new email? Verizon support was no help, and the articles I saw here didnt seem to address this issue.
Setup: Blackberry 9650 bold Blackberry Server Express Exchange 2003 mailstore
My Verizon Blackberry 9650 is no longer able to connedt to email.I havespent several hours with Verizon Service, who was not able to fix it, and whoconcluded that my email account info on the Blackberry servers was somehowcorrupted. They recommended I contact RIM.Software version is6.0, bundle 3084 (v6.0.0.719, Paltform 4.4.0.560). My device is set up as a single-user, non-enterprise unit, sync'ed toOutlook 2007 on my home desktop via USB cord.
I upgraded the OS as recommended by Blackberry Desktop Software, but gotan error - white screen crash and Error #507.I went onto the Blackberry site andfollowed the instructions, then restored my data from my BlackberryDesktop Software. Now the phone appears to work but the email account is gone.[SETUP] [EMAIL ACCOUNTS] won't even respond to a click - dead, nothing. The Verizonpeople did a Security Wipe, but no improvement - the device seems to be init's original state, but it won't get into email.Verizon basically gave up, said to call RIM. RIM doesn't help, they won't respond.I have been a loyal Blackberry customer for many years, since my 8800.
on my BB Bold 9650 ,While trying to change email addresses or add a new address, it asks for user name and password and I can't get past that message. I've used every user name and password combination I own and nothing gets me into the email settings mode.
I had my email icon turn green once with aol listed under it and enjoyed the color on my home screen. Now its missing. I would like for it to look like this again.
Just got a 9650 from Sprint. This is my first BB, but not new to them as my wife and daughter both have them.Just activated the phone yesterday. Everything is working great and I'm very happy with the phone. What I want to know is can I get my BB email inbox to match my (hotmail, gmail, office) email inboxes? I'm getting all my emails fine from yesterday on, but any emails I have from before yesterday don't show up on the BB.Is this just the way it is? Is there no sync, just push?
I have a question... and some have been partially answered by the "Similar threads feature" when creating this thread, + I have searched thru the FAQ, etc.. before creating this thread. And done some google searching, but I mainly run into enterprise account users posts, etc.. Mine are just MSN, and GMAIL.
I have multiple accounts that all forward to one GMail account. One of them is a @msn account which is setup to forward, but keep copy on server.
Right now I have my main GMail address setup in my blackberry. I also have the GMail App installed, but since email opened with it is not HTML, it's sort of worthless to me.
Anyway, I would like the ability to send to/reply to certain emails using the alternate account, that in all likelihood was sent to one of the alternate accounts.
How to go about adding the MSN account as a "SEND ONLY" account?
And also, how do I add the other GMail accounts that forward to my primary, so that they show up as an option to use to send FROM, but never receive from the account?
My Carrier is Sprint, but I don't think that makes much difference.
Here's an anomaly for ya. Whenever I browse the BlackBerry app catalog via my computer and click the "get this app" link, I get the email with the link attached no problem. Then I click on the link which prompts the Bberry browser. However, when I go to click the link that says "open in BlackBerry App World", the loading bar will appear on the bottom of the browser for a second and then....nothing happens.
So I checked all my permissions for the browser to ensure that everything is checked off (which it is). So I'm pretty sure that nothing is being inadvertantly blocked.
An employees phone recently took a few spills and was upgraded by corporate. I backed up his old AT&T Curve 8310 before I rolled his number over to his new Verizon Bold 8650 yesterday.Everything was working properly, but due to time constraints I didn't get a chance to restore his contacts/info over to this new phone until this morning and this I think is where I created a problem. After I did a restore on the new Bold, the ability to send/recieve emails as well as text messages stopped (of course I don't hear about this until he's left the office and is off to the airport). The phone will still send/recieve calls, but email/texts (and presumably web) are a no go. His emails are currently being delivered via POP/webmail and every time he tries to send out an email or a text he gets an error on screen. When I did the restore, did the phone grab the old AT&T settings and tried to supplant them over the VZW settings?
Edit the second After an additional phone call with this employee, he was able to recieve a test message that I sent to him, but when he tried to respond, there wasn't an option for him to send the response that he had written, be it via my message, or by creating a new message.
I have 4 individual email accounts on my blackberry bold 9650, all 4 accounts show up under one email Icon on the phone, they used to be under separate icons, before I changed batteries. How can I get three mails under separate icons.
I have tried deleting it and re-adding it (several times). Had the Sprint store try different options including a reeboot in their system. Had GoDaddy check their system. Pulled the battery while phone was on, and off. Nothing is working! It is the account I receive time sensitive work on. It is a Bold 9650 and all my other email accounts (even from Go Daddy) are working fine.
