I'm sure it used to, but my S2 is no longer displaying PDFs or JPEGs that are sent to me in emails (perhaps since the ICS update?)
If it's a PDF, the email is simply blank, if it's a photo all I see it a small blue question mark.
My husband emailed me some photos from his Blackberry and while it looks like it is going to open, eventually you get a message that says "attachment cannot be displayed".
I can see jpegs emailed from computers and other phones so it's a bit of a mystery!
When you view your email through the preinstalled apps, either Hotmail or Google. When you viewed them and deleted them then return to your email on a PC/Desktop the emails you've deleted are still there?

View 5 Replies View Relatedmy phone won't vibrate on notifications or calls anymore and it's killing me. settings > sound > vibration is set to 'always'. i didn't drop the phone or anything, so i don't know what it could be. the vibrating phone icon is visible on the top bar too.i'm using go sms pro and have that set to vibrate always, and even if i run the test notification, it says that vibrate is on, but it doesn't actually vibrate.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen watching any video on my S2 (either downloaded or streaming) the video itself is very small in the centre of the screen. This wasn't always the case with it though. I think I must have dozed off watching something the other evening, leaving my finger on the screen, and now the "video ratio" icon that should be on the bar with the play, rwd and ffwd icons is no longer there!
Whatever I try, I cannot get the icon back or reset the video to maximise itself on screen.
Why does the gmail app icon always show 99+ and the email icon always shows 30 emails even after I clean up my mailboxes and know for sure that I have 0 unread emails? Is there a fix for this? When I was on ios as soon as I had all emails read the counts from the app icons used to disappear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to ICS and now my call log screen shows all the incoming text messages I've received as well as the calls. This is the case in both Go Dialer, which I normally use and the native samsumg dialer.
what setting I need to change to make it just show calls again?
I'm not able to sync more than 50 emails ( hotmail btw ) ? when a new one arrives the oldest 50th one dissapears. Syncing 1 day or 1 month makes no difference?is this the same for you? anyone figured out how to get more than 50?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post and I'm new to the Galaxy S2. I took ownership of a new phone early this week (S2) and did the firmware upgrade over Kies - this seemed to make sense given that it was the official latest release firmware.
I tried to use BBC iPlayer last night. The first time I ran it, it said I needed Flash. It took me to the market and I downloaded Adobe Flash 11.0. I tried iPlayer again. All the menus, navigation etc work, but when I select a program it doesn't show any video. I don't even get the little triangle to click on to play it. I went to the iPlayer website and tried viewing from there - I assume that uses Flash as well, and all worked fine, video and sound.
when I�m texting an sms and I�m suppose to look up my contact, the Galaxy shows fex 3 options for the very same name (before I even choose one of them), where 2 of these are email addresses and not a phone number. The 3rd option gives me the alternative to choose either the mobile number (which is the option I want..) or again the two email addresses, which is ok. So, the first 2 options coming up here are confusing, and more than once I�ve sent text messages that never reached the person�s text inbox.. How can I fix this, and clear up my "text contact list" ? (in my Contacts app there is only one contact for this person)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have set up my gmail and NTL email through social hub as imap premium accounts and I receive all emails as "push" no problem at all, but, I cannot send any. The emails appear in my sent box but they are never received. The only way I can send emails is if I use the dedicated gmail app on the phone but I can't see how to set up my NTL mail account in that app.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 2 e-mail accounts; mail drops into each as it should. When I open my e-mail on my PC, mail drops into my accounts (Outlook) and is deleted from the server. At that point the e-mails are also still on my phone. However when I next switch from one account to the other on the phone, all e-mails are deleted from both accounts on the phone.This was never a problem with my HTC Wildfire, when I would delete mail on the phone manually, which is what I want to do now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got the latest version of Kies 2.3.1.12044_18, and have checked for updates.I'm an UK O2 customer, but with a replacement handset that was provided by an insurance company rather than the original carrier supplied one.Kies says the current firmware version as:
PDA:K14 / PHONE:KI1 / CSC:KE1 (MTL)
And says this is the latest firmware.Which seems incorrect, as the phone is still on Gingerbread.
i did something wrong while transferring images via samsung kies. Now my gallery is displaying images / textures from games etc that i have installed on the phone. Is there any way to fix this to not show these extra images in the gallery?
