View 5 RepliesWhen you view your email through the preinstalled apps, either Hotmail or Google. When you viewed them and deleted them then return to your email on a PC/Desktop the emails you've deleted are still there?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI had previously posted this question in the "Kitkat" forum, however didn't receive any response. I was later told that The email client is an HTC Sense creature, not Android. I'm carrying an HTC One running Kitkat. I note that the stock email client has a "Favorites" window if I swipe left. Currently, I have only one email in that area, though I don't know how I got it there. More importantly, I don't know how to get others there. There doesn't seem to be an option to mark the email as a "favorite", nor anything else that would be obvious.
I did notice that within Outlook (on my desktop) I can categorize emails as "HTC Favorite"; I tried that with a couple of test emails, but that doesn't seem to have moved the emails over to that "tab". I don't know how the "HTC Favorites" category came into being, but I assume it occurred once I started using the One with my existing Outlook. I also note that Jerry ran an "Android 101" some time back about favoriting contacts.
As a coincidence, the one email I have in "Favourites" is from my wife, who I note is also categorized in my Outlook as an "HTC Favourite". How my phone, Android, or Outlook new to categoize my wife as a favourite, I don't know. A bit presumptuous, perhaps, but it works. Could it be that because she is a "favourite" contact, that her emails are automatically "favourited"? Is there another way to move emails over to "favourites", particularly without favouriting the contact?
I've now figured out that the contacts marked "HTC Favourites" happen to be those contacts for whom I created a speed dial entry...so that mystery is solved.
I'm not able to sync more than 50 emails ( hotmail btw ) ? when a new one arrives the oldest 50th one dissapears. Syncing 1 day or 1 month makes no difference?is this the same for you? anyone figured out how to get more than 50?

The emails appear in my sent box but they are never received. The only way I can send emails is if I use the dedicated gmail app on the phone but I can't see how to set up my NTL mail account in that app.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 2 e-mail accounts; mail drops into each as it should. When I open my e-mail on my PC, mail drops into my accounts (Outlook) and is deleted from the server. At that point the e-mails are also still on my phone. However when I next switch from one account to the other on the phone, all e-mails are deleted from both accounts on the phone. This was never a problem with my HTC Wildfire, when I would delete mail on the phone manually, which is what I want to do now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIve had no problems with my sgs2 since getting it apart from battery life being very poor and only lasting a day at work, so a friend told me to turn on the power saving, i cudnt get along with that as i like my phone bright and fast...so i turned it off.
Since doing this my emails no longer update unless i click refresh in the gmail app? im no longer getting notifications for new emails and i cant find any setting to stop this?
I just can't send emails with attached files. Not ir Email app not it GMAIL app. No matter the size of the file.
I go to the out tray in Email app, and displays a button: Send messages. I click it, it goes "Sending messages..." Then back to the square one. No error message, no nothing. The same with the gMAIL app just that there is no button, just stays in the out tray. However when I forward an email with attached content it would send alright, but no if I attach the file myself, or "Insert" from gallery.
My phone keeps on picking up old emails. Even if I delete them on my phone the next day I will have 26 new emails which are actually quite old. This happens every day, sometimes a few times.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have set-up my email account using IMAP. I am using the IMAP path prefix of INBOX as I use on my old iPhone and on the email client on my laptop, but the Samsung email client does not seem to recognise it. When I delete an email it is reloaded the next time it sync with the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure it used to, but my S2 is no longer displaying PDFs or JPEGs that are sent to me in emails (perhaps since the ICS update?)
If it's a PDF, the email is simply blank, if it's a photo all I see it a small blue question mark.
I have a question, as above. I like to look back and check sometimes when I responded to an email but can find no way of checking sent mail. I have checked lots of forums, the settings on my phone, etc, without success.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwork around for reading emails in landscape mode in full screen without a list of all the emails on the left side.
This is a real irritation when you want to read an email in full screen mode. I really cannot believe that I am having to ask this question in the first place....
I have tried all normal option to read, but to no avail
If I have one of my IMAP accounts from work setup on my Galaxy s2 WILL a copy of the emails be left by default on the server once "downloaded" by phone. This so I can later go to my Outlook at work and see them also.I am asking this to double check and to be sure. I might be thinking in a POP3 mindset.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia 5230 (RM-588) with firmware 20.0.005 and Ovi Maps 3.04. Memory card is Kingston 8GB. I downloaded maps that I needed and everything is working OK from that point.
Here is the problem: I search for an address (offline), Ovi Maps finds it, I rename it and save it to Favourites. I repeat that with some other addresses. Then I turn off the Ovi Maps and navigation and after I start it again, my folder Favourites - Places is empty. Any idea why the Favourites are not saved ?
After an issue with my N97 where I was unable to do any backups from the phone to the internal memory card, I reformatted and reinstalled the apps to my N97 (making sure I did a backup using PC Suite before hand).
Upon restoring the PC Suite image, I found that it didn't restore the list of favourites which have meant that I've lost them all - I'm sure I remember that the backup to memory card did make a copy of them, but as I wasn't able to do this, this wasn't a possible solution .....
Luckily, Google Maps have most of my starred items (favourites) saved, (barring the one I managed to unstar by accident), but it appears as if Google doesn't store the actual co-ordinates and doesn't allow them to be exported ... So in short - is there anyway at all I can get my favourites back ?
Tried setting email up via auto and manual. For both instances emails come in, stick around a very short time and then disappear, whether read or not.Used same account on prev phone, SE Xperia x10 without a problem for 18 months.get it to work properly?

View 8 Replies View RelatedOver the last week or so, I have been finding it increasingly difficult to send emails from K9 mail. have always had a problem whereby emails go into an "outbox" instead of being sent to my correpsondent when I hit send. I then have to go to the "outbox" folder, bring up the menu and then pres Send Messages. Extremely frustrating in itself, but just about tolerableNow however when I do this I get a notification saying "could not send some messages java.net.SocketException: H". Fpor a while, it would eventually work after 5 or 6 tries, but now just won't send at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am an avid musician who listens to music throughout a large portion of my day. My old SD card (32GB) wasn't large enough to hold all of my music on it so I recently went out and bought a larger SD card. I currently have over 2000 songs favorited on my music player and would like to avoid spending over an hour to favorite each one again. Is there any way I can put all of my music on my new SD card and still keep all 2000+ favorites when the new SD is put in my phone?

Word on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.
