Tried setting email up via auto and manual.For both instances emails come in, stick around a very short time and then disappear, whether read or not.Used same account on prev phone, SE Xperia x10 without a problem for 18 months.get it to work properly?

I have set up the account but when I try to synchronise, the samsung seems to go into a loop and although it says it is synchronising it justs runs for hours without any end result. There are quite a lot of e-mails on the server but they are all labelled as read except for the most recent dozen so I hope that the phone is not trying to download them all.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had several occasions on turning on my AT&T Galaxy S2 phone where all 7 of my screens were blank except for the 4 icons at the bottom. In fact, every screen had a message in the middle saying to drag items to add them to the screen, like it was *supposed* to be blank. Before today, turning the phone off and on again resolved this.In fact, when I clicked on the Applications icon at the bottom, got nothing but a spinning circle. After a minute or two, I pulled the battery, returned it, and powered up again. This time, everything is again normal. But I am concerned. This phone is just 5 weeks old.

Am aware 1 fix is to delete my BY account and set up not clicking on the Premium box. works & em stay in Inbox but email thing is slowed down and not sure I'm "losing" by not clicking Premium setup. Is this problem with disappearing email gonna b a problem for while? Do I contact Virgin Media?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Curve 8520 was delivered 7 days ago from Virgin Media UK. I am unable to create a Blackberry account as "my device is not registered with my wireless service provider" . I have gone through the Host Routing table regsiter but still nothing. Virgin's call centre do not allow you to access their Virgin Blackberry help team directly, and in fact claim they can only email them themselves. The call centre say the Blackberries are very popular and I will have to wait 3 days for the Virgin Blackberry team to contact me. I obviously would like to get my 8520 up and running. Do I have to wait for Virgin? Should I draw the conclusion that Virgin are all marketing mouth and no Blackberry trousers?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to a 9900 Bold and am experiencing problems staying connected to my wireless network at home. Basically I added the wifi profile and it connected fine then after a while it loses the connection and when I try to reconnect it says failed to authenticate against the network. I tried rebooting my wireless router (Netgear Super Hub from virgin media) and it connects again only for the same thing to happen again after 20 mins. It used to work fine with my old 9700 bold.

I've checked all the virginmedia imap/smpt settings and all is fine, my virgin webmail is also fine. My Omnia i910 will only charge when powered down. This leads me to believe it is a software issue. When powered down it charges normally. Red light and charging indicator on the screen. When powered up it does nothing. OS is WM6.1 I am using SPB mobile shell as well. Other than a few changes made with "my favorite hacks" several months ago the phone is pretty much as Verizon delivered it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning and the media scan was running at 0%, first of all i didnt think much of it so i just left it. A few hours later I heard my phone was dying so I went to put it on charge and noticed that the media scan was still running. so i turned it off, waited a few mins then turned it back on, just in case it needed a bit of a kick up the backside. Once I had turned it back on I just left it on charge while I went to do things. went back to it a little while later and it hardly charged at all and the media scan was still at 0%. I uninstalled a few apps - nothing changed, tried connecting to kies via usb and nothing as it was still scanning. The phone itself is is very hot at the top behind the camera, it's not charging properly and I havent been able to back anything up - I just hope everything is stored on my sdcard.

He managed to get all of his contacts from his iPhone onto his PC, gmail recognizes all 1715 contacts! He synced his Samsung with gmail yet his phone only picked up 1406 contacts. Where are the other 300? They are contacts that he uses everyday like mine, and friends. But they have disappeared between gmail and the phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDon't suggest using the gmail app instead of the stock. I want to use the Samsung email native app and I have my reasons. Now, I have tried what seems like every way possible to get gmail working on the native app but I get emails hours late sometimes the next day. I am using the proper server setting per Google:
Incoming settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
In the app I have under sync schedule "Auto(when received)" and "notify me when email arrives" checked. The part that makes this worse is I can get it to work on non-stock apps like AquaMail using the SAME settings, but again, I want to use the native app.
have the pattern code set and it used to just time out if i forgot the code or got it wrong but i had to do a factory reset the other day and now it asks for theG mail password instead of timing out.
How do i get the phone to offer both options again also why have i got to be signed in to g mail on the pc for the phone to accept the password?
Maybe I am going blind but I cannot find anyway to change the notification tone just for Gmail. know I can in the non Gmail email app.I just want to know by the tone what email account has received email without looking.
