My husband emailed me some photos from his Blackberry and while it looks like it is going to open, eventually you get a message that says "attachment cannot be displayed".
I can see jpegs emailed from computers and other phones so it's a bit of a mystery!
I'm sure it used to, but my S2 is no longer displaying PDFs or JPEGs that are sent to me in emails (perhaps since the ICS update?)
If it's a PDF, the email is simply blank, if it's a photo all I see it a small blue question mark.
My HS-700 will not pair with my new Samsung Galaxy SCH-S720C. This same headset always paired with the phone (Pantech Breeze model C520) I just replaced.This Samsung smart phone is running Android version 2.3.6
This new Samsung phone has successfully paired or seen in a scan:my old Pantech phone (above)a neighbor's DVD player a generic BlueTooth "dongle" I have plugged into my desktop PCASUS Transformer - TF101tablet running Android 4In trying to establish the pair/scan with the Samsung, I "unpaired" the HS-700 from the old Pantech phone.
Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
Word on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.

I was wondering if someone who bought the phone from telus sells me this phone, would I be able to enjoy the 1 year manufacturer warranty? I understand that the warranty starts when the phone is first bought. I'm just wondering if that warranty will be transferred to me under these scenerios?

In case I do get to enjoy the warranty, will I be taking my phone to a telus store if it needs repair or will I send the phone directly to the manufacturer? I don't plan to use the phone with the telus network after I purchase it.
I just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

not much difference in the galaxy family that i can imagine (although i haven't dug around to know exactly) but besides the fact that there is no where to place the stylus on the S2, will the stylus or "S - Pen" as i've read it called work with the phones? or is there something more technical involved that will not allow this to work? and if it does work, where do you buy one (or two or three as replacements) ;-)

I want to have the "Phone" screen showing up at all times when I'm on a call, so I can access the speakerphone, etc. Is there a way to "lock" the screen in "Phone" mode when I'm on a call?

I had my contacts and photos transferred from my old phone (Blackberry Q10) to the new one at the store, but forgot all about my calendar (duh!) ... Is there any way for me to transfer my calendar from the old one to the new one or do I need to return to the store and beg (nicely) for them to move that information as well? Or, worse, do I need to manually transfer it myself?

I've heard AT&T is supposed to be receiving the Captivate, however, I have no interest in picking up a branded (and most likely crippled) phone. i use Samsung galaxy s2 with the latest firmware version from Samsung kies (ginger bread 2.3.5) , the problem occurred after installing external SD card and move bunch of apps to it,i tried removing the external sd card from my device, the device stoped rebooting, when i insert it again the device keeps rebooting over and over, the problem is obviosley is moving apps to SD card, i tried to delete the content of the file (andro secure) in SD crad this file includes the moved applications from phone memory to external sd, the problem also stoped
its one of the two: 1- android do not accept lots of apps in external sd or 2- there is a problem in a specific app in external sd which make the phone rebooting over and over but i don't know which app is causing the issue because i have lots of apps installed !
i have just downloaded the new firmware and was wondering wich files were the PDA file and the PHONE file as on the update it says moden on one of them. i have already found the CSC just its been a while ive done this and cant remember if the moden file was th PDA or the PHONE file?

I can silence my phone, turn the volume down, and select vibrate. I still get voice announcements loud and clear. How do I turn it off? Sometimes it is not desirable to hear "ONE NEW EMAIL" in church or at the office. No matter what preference I select to silence the phone, these voice alerts come through.

When I was logged into the store I noted a link at the bottom marked my orders and devices. So being the nosey type I clicked and then find it shows three books as being downloaded, Alice in Wonderland, Treasure Island and the 3 Musketeers which I had no knowledge of. When I looked on my phone in the play book app there were the books !Where did they come from as, up til now, I haven't ordered or installed anything - still getting used to the phone first before I go down that line.Can someone tell me how this happened or where the books pre-loaded with the original gingerbread or did it come when I upgraded to ICS last week? It bothered me a little as was more concerned about the potential for things being loaded without my knowledge.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am dissatisfied with the speed of my SGSII. It is rooted (still with the yellow triangle) and everything else works OK. However, I can't find a meny where I can lock the phone to 3G. I only have EDGE which gives me very low speeds.
Do I need to get rid of the triangle first? I haven't quite figured out how to do that despite many items in the discussions - which kernel do I use, whereto do I download it with ODIN? Is there a country specific kernel to use (Sweden for me)?
