Jun 25, 2011I did a factory reset of my S2, but now there are not any wallpapers left to choose from? Was this because I also chose to format the USB memory?How can I recover these?

Jun 2, 2011I just came from an Archos 5 Internet Tablet, which means that I'm pretty savvy with android, but several things are different (e.g. orientation, manufacturer's modifications).So, I have a few queries, the most important is about backgrounds.I am a keen photographer, and I was wondering what is the best way to crop a background on photoshop, so that it slides right into the homescreen with no trouble.I am guessing for the background, it would be 800px high, or perhaps less, depending on whether it is overlapped by the status bar or whether it begins underneath. If I wanted a non-moving background I would guess I'd want 480px across, but what about if I want a moving one?

Jul 14, 2015I'm using the Nova launcher and trying to make a custom wallpaper. When moving from screen to screen the scroll effect moves the wallpaper sideways slightly and I was wondering what width it should be. I know the screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 so I'm assuming it should be wider than 1440, but by how much?
Also, how can I get live wallpapers on it? Do they require an app or can I just download a live wallpaper and load it using Nova?

Sep 24, 2015My Samsung s5 keeps reverting back to the original screen wallpaper. Is starting to really tick me off. The ones that will last for a month or two then it goes right back sometimes they last less than that. Also my apps keep disappearing on the home screens. The app pages I create.

Jul 23, 2015I have noticed for about a month or so, when some apps update automatically (most recent was facebook this morning) my home screen wallpaper picture gets removed and the plain green backround is there.
I then have to go back into wallpaper to reset it. I am using a Samsung Galaxy5.

May 15, 2011Just updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.

Apr 28, 2012I bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?

Jan 30, 2012Word on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.

I was wondering if someone who bought the phone from telus sells me this phone, would I be able to enjoy the 1 year manufacturer warranty? I understand that the warranty starts when the phone is first bought. I'm just wondering if that warranty will be transferred to me under these scenerios?

Samsung Galaxy S II :: Change The Samsung Account In It?
Aug 8, 2011I just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

Is it a simple matter of putting the photo onto the camera via syncing and then selecting it as the wallpaper, or does the new wallpaper pic have to be placed into a specific album or location in camera roll in order to be selectable via settings for wallpaper?

Jun 21, 2010I just put them on my phone and they fit pretty well, so I thought I'd share. I made them high-resolution for the iPhone 4. The wood one seems to work well for the home screen while the abstract works for the lock screen.

Feb 7, 2012A few days ago, I noticed that all my wallpapers are gone but the one I selected. Neither the Settings -> Wallpapers nor the Gallery section contains them but i was able to Download them. Is it somehow possible to get them back in the Settings -> Wallpaper section? I aleady tried the simpliest way, I connected my device to my computer and copied them to the phone, but taht does not lead to the desired solution. My next step was to get access via ssh and find the folder where the wallpapers actually are stored in. Both times, no success. I even reset the N9 to factory due to other minor inconsistencies, this morning. Again, no success. Now I'm at a loss what to do next, does anyone have the same problem or does someone have a solution for this for example the wallpaer folder on the phone or maybe an easier way to get them back.

Oct 5, 2011I am facing a trouble with the home screen wallpaper. I have few pictures on the BB bold 9900 and when I open those pictures they are getting opened in the right format(size).
But when I select them for my wallpapers they are getting distorted as BB is accepting them with larger(Zoom) size.I checked the default images(Autumn,detail,Droplet etc) on the phone as well and found that it is getting distorted as I have zoomed it but in actual I have not. The same way wallpapers images are getting saved with Zoomed size.I have done the reset wallpapers on the home screen preference option and also tried to reset settings as well but still no success. Is there any way to get the wallpapers in the normal size rather than zoomed size.

But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

Oct 2, 2012Every picture taken from my Bold 9900 is displayed twice in "Camera Pictures" folder. Same problem with the Wallpapers also. And when I delete any of these two pictures, both gets deleted. That means it's not creating a copy itself. Can't even sroll to the right to check the next picture using trackpad. But scrolling is possible with touch screen after a hard push.
