I was wondering how to make the wallpaper for my rant work sideways and long ways, like, i have two wallpapers i made, one that is 176x220 and one 220x176 for the rant, and i want to apply both so they fill the screen when its closed and opened, how do i do this if its even possible, like the ones that came with the phone can do it.
View 1 RepliesI have a display problem with one of my two phone. When you power on the phone the Samsung logo appear and off after that but the phone boot up OK just don't have any on the screen, I can make call or receive OK. I disassemble both phones and swap the main board and find out that nothing wrong with the LCD Screen but the Main board. The phone have BK03 bin and I loaded with CB23 bin and it working good now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been having an issue with the email app included on the Rant while trying to reply in QWERTY mode.
It tends to freeze, not allowing text entry to continue. The QWERTY keypad was one of the things that drew me to this phone, and the application I most need that keypad for is the email.
I tend to think it has something to do with a character limit, though that wouldn't really explain why I can close the keypad and revert to T9 to continue without it freezing.
How to fix this without giving up on the QWERTY keypad altogether?
I did a factory reset of my S2, but now there are not any wallpapers left to choose from? Was this because I also chose to format the USB memory?How can I recover these?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just came from an Archos 5 Internet Tablet, which means that I'm pretty savvy with android, but several things are different (e.g. orientation, manufacturer's modifications).So, I have a few queries, the most important is about backgrounds.I am a keen photographer, and I was wondering what is the best way to crop a background on photoshop, so that it slides right into the homescreen with no trouble.I am guessing for the background, it would be 800px high, or perhaps less, depending on whether it is overlapped by the status bar or whether it begins underneath. If I wanted a non-moving background I would guess I'd want 480px across, but what about if I want a moving one?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi was using my phone then later i went to get something i heard a buzzing noise coming from my phone and when i clicked the home button the screen was black it wouldn't come on.
i tried switching it on by pressing the home button and power button together but it continued to make the noise and the screen is black. Also i did put it on charge to see if it would come on but it didn't.
So basically I went away for 4 weeks, came back, switched on my phone and now BOOM it won't call anyone, it won't use 3G or anything or even make texts.
Here's some useful information:
- I'm picking up signal, and can receive texts etc.
- when I try and call someone, it says 'you cannot make outgoing calls while call barring is on' (even though I've checked in settings and it isn't).
- I'm on o2 in the UK
- I've checked my status, and it says 'Mobile Network State' is 'Disconnected'.
- It's running 2.3.3
- I've got the Network Mode on Auto (as it always was when the phone actually worked), and also I haven't been playing around with the APNs or anything like that.
- I bought the phone legit from Carphone warehouse a few months ago, and it worked mostly fine up until I switched it back on yesterday. I'd had a few problems with non-wifi internet before I left last month, but nothing affecting making calls etc.
Have been hearing that 3G won't have many features of iOS 4.0 including wallpapers. But just saw an Apple 'official' picture in other thread in which 3G also appears to have wallpaper enabled...
View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm a little late to the Wallpaper thread, having just discovered the many amazing photographs and artwork done by fellow MacForums members.
Is it a simple matter of putting the photo onto the camera via syncing and then selecting it as the wallpaper, or does the new wallpaper pic have to be placed into a specific album or location in camera roll in order to be selectable via settings for wallpaper?
I just put them on my phone and they fit pretty well, so I thought I'd share. I made them high-resolution for the iPhone 4. The wood one seems to work well for the home screen while the abstract works for the lock screen.

View 15 Replies View RelatedA few days ago, I noticed that all my wallpapers are gone but the one I selected. Neither the Settings -> Wallpapers nor the Gallery section contains them but i was able to Download them. Is it somehow possible to get them back in the Settings -> Wallpaper section? I aleady tried the simpliest way, I connected my device to my computer and copied them to the phone, but taht does not lead to the desired solution. My next step was to get access via ssh and find the folder where the wallpapers actually are stored in. Both times, no success. I even reset the N9 to factory due to other minor inconsistencies, this morning. Again, no success. Now I'm at a loss what to do next, does anyone have the same problem or does someone have a solution for this for example the wallpaer folder on the phone or maybe an easier way to get them back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am facing a trouble with the home screen wallpaper. I have few pictures on the BB bold 9900 and when I open those pictures they are getting opened in the right format(size).
But when I select them for my wallpapers they are getting distorted as BB is accepting them with larger(Zoom) size.I checked the default images(Autumn,detail,Droplet etc) on the phone as well and found that it is getting distorted as I have zoomed it but in actual I have not. The same way wallpapers images are getting saved with Zoomed size.I have done the reset wallpapers on the home screen preference option and also tried to reset settings as well but still no success. Is there any way to get the wallpapers in the normal size rather than zoomed size.
So, for the first time since I got it, I tried setting some new wallpapers, see if maybe there's something that'd look nice. But then presented itself a problem: when I set a wallpaper, the upper and lower edges of the screen remained a blurry sort of thing, the same colour as the default background of the theme (in my case, it was the Golden Business). My question is whether this can be disabled? I searched, and I couldn't find.Also, writin' this on my Nokia E72 right now (yeah, advertising Nokia's product on their own site).

View 8 Replies View RelatedEvery picture taken from my Bold 9900 is displayed twice in "Camera Pictures" folder. Same problem with the Wallpapers also. And when I delete any of these two pictures, both gets deleted. That means it's not creating a copy itself. Can't even sroll to the right to check the next picture using trackpad. But scrolling is possible with touch screen after a hard push.

It seems like all roads lead to instructions, not actual wallpapers.I'm all set with the procedure, been using bitpim for a while now so I've got that down pat.
