My wife has an Iphone 6. She likes to send me periodic videos of my son throughout the day. I just upgraded from an Iphone to the S5 and now whenever she sends a video, when I try to play it I get a "Can't play video." message in the center of a black screen. Is there a way around this?

I have a galaxy s6 and is there anyway to auto play videos on it cut I had this feature on the note 3 but I don't seem to find it on the s6.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open sent or received picture texts, they appear with a white circle and black triangle as if it were a 'play' button. If I click on the pictures, they open as if they were a video, 'playing' anywhere from 5 - 10 seconds with a play bar below. There's no problem opening or downloading the photos, but it's weird/annoying that pictures are opening this way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedVideo files recorded on my sgs2 have the file extension mp4 but wont play on my sony bravia tv or via my sumvision cyclone mkv2 media player. They do however play on my windows 7 laptop.wehen playing a video on the sgs2 you can get more info by tapping menu/details. This tells me the format is 3gpp. I believe 3gpp forms a simple wrapper around the mp4 file and suspect this is the element my other devices can't handle.If I copy the files to my laptop and convert them to mp4 using [RZ Video Converter] program then copy them back to my sgs2... They now play fine on all my devices including the sgs2.

But the other day I was watching something on 4OD, it worked for ten minutes and then stopped saying "Sorry this video cannot be played.". I then assumed it was a problem with 4OD so started using iPlayer which worked fine until about half an hour into my programme when the same message came up. Since then I have not been able to watch YouTube, Vine or Snapchat videos.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HTC One recorded several videos but cannot play them. On my camera roll in gallery, you see the videos but they appear grey and have the play symbol in the center. The other videos in gallery you can see a picture from the video with the play symbol in the center while you are in gallery. I tried emailing the video, and posting the video to google+ but all that is sent is the picture of a play symbol with a line through it.
When I clicked on 'details' for the not working videos what came up is; 'file path' 'Date' 'size' 'type' and 'status' only for 'type' was there no information, it is just blank underneath.
So it does not seem to recognize the video as video/mp4.
does anyone know why my videos wont play on my phone ? i deleted my recoverd files but i thought it was okay to do so and now none of my videos will play,

I've tried mp4 and 3gp and I can put them on my SD card but they don't show up on my phone anywhere, in any of the folders. I've already formatted my card, etc. I am adding them by connecting the phone with USB. If I need to actually take the card out, put it in the adapter and plug it into my computer, that is fine, but I am unsure of how to get my card out of my phone, haha, I don't see anyway to get it out.

However this morning I put my phone on mute and when i received a text message my phone chimes. I turned the sound off and defaulted the messages to silent but it still keeps making the same noise even though my phone is on silent.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a few problems with my Nokia E51. I got the phone from my uncle who didn't like it after initially buying it. He bought it for O2 but I'm with Vodafone.
Anyways I got the phone unlocked and put my vodafone sim in and it worked fine. I changed the settings around on wap as well so it goes to vodafones homepage instead of o2's and it was working grand.
Then problems started with it. Firstly, I received a text one day and when i went to open it the phone just froze. It wouldnt let me look at the text and every button i pressed didnt do anything. The screen just stayed the same.
I tried turning off and on and taking battery out but everytime i turned it back on the text would appear 'one new text message' and the phone would still be frozen.
After a few months I tried the phone again and it was working fine. I had it for about a week again but then another problem surfaced. I looked at the phone randomly and the screen was flicking between differents screens. It was as if i was pressing loads of buttons but i wasnt pressing any! It was just flicking between screens really fast. I turned it off and back on, then battery out but kept doing the same when i turned it back on.
I left it for a month again and last night I tried turning it on and its working fine again. I know its gonna start up again though so I wondered if there's something I can do while it's working to stop it from breaking again. Is there a virus in the phone or something or is it just a bad batch?
I just got the 1020 as an upg from the 920. I can access the 920 camera roll via sky drive but none of the videos I took with the 920 are playing on the 1020.
The error message is " Sorry, we can't play this file on your phone." Close
I have lumia 1520 and using win 10 on it. I cant play tumblr videos. There was no problem once using win 7 on it. Since loaded win 8, 8.1 and win 10 preview I cant play?

I don't know if i just noticed now or what, but whenever i get a text message or facebook message, basically any notification, my screen wont turn on and display it. Just led blink + sound+ viberate. I went into my settings and tried basically everything possible. I have show notifications on lock screen and inside messages app its toggled to show on lock screen also.
