Samsung Galaxy S II :: With Balance Notifications Vibration Off?
Apr 6, 2012
I did a google search and a search on this forum but i could not find a solution. After i send a text i get a balance notification from O2, This notification vibrates. Is there a way to turn this vibration off (or only have it vibrate in silent mode, like i have enabled for my SMS)
I had a system update on my brand new s6 and now it won't vibrate for notifications it works for the keyboard and when it turns on and off so the motor is good. And I went into setting and it's all on. But I just can't get it to work.
My Galaxy S5 phone is always on vibration mode. If I have a notification and I don't remove it, it keeps reminding me every few minutes (two quick vibrations, three and a half times in a row) and I would really like to make it stop.
Been getting balance notifications every 15 minutes. I am on roaming, have been using Wifi, BIS (only BBM) is activated. This didn't happen 2 days back.
my phone won't vibrate on notifications or calls anymore and it's killing me. settings > sound > vibration is set to 'always'. i didn't drop the phone or anything, so i don't know what it could be. the vibrating phone icon is visible on the top bar too.i'm using go sms pro and have that set to vibrate always, and even if i run the test notification, it says that vibrate is on, but it doesn't actually vibrate.
As the title says, I have my s2 set to 'never' vibrate. Why then does my phone vibrate VERY strongly when I get ebay alerts? It doesn't vibrate for any other notifications.Has anyone got any ideas as to what I can do to stop thisy phone crashed about a month ago and I've had problems with it ever since.
Is it only possible to use one sound for all notifications? I thought I'd be able to set different sounds for email, text, calendar. I also use BT Fon app for wifi and this uses the same as all the rest.
I've set tone for email in email settings but now that gets played as well as the tone that's set for notifications in settings>sound>notification ringtone, when I only need one alert.
It's a brand new phone and all the settings have been checked, the app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The phone has even been reset to factory settings but I still can't get facebook notifications. I get no sound and no flashing light in the upper corner of the phone.
I have created a folder called media/audio/notifications on my sd card put an mp3 10second track on it, this appears in settings/sounds/ notifications along with the standard ones, it will play if i test it there (pressing the round button) click ok and the original ta da sound plays when i get a text. if i open settings/sounds/ notifications my new track is still highlighted. i got this phone cos i don't distinguish sounds too well and this is urgently needed.
I've set up my SGS2 to get email from Hotmail but Im getting a lot of false email notifications.I get a notification that says 14 unread(Hotmail) and when I check my inbox there are no new emails!
Ive had no problems with my sgs2 since getting it apart from battery life being very poor and only lasting a day at work, so a friend told me to turn on the power saving, i cudnt get along with that as i like my phone bright and fast...so i turned it off.
Since doing this my emails no longer update unless i click refresh in the gmail app? im no longer getting notifications for new emails and i cant find any setting to stop this?
just picked up an S2 from sprint as a replacement for HTC Evo.Great phone all around, however i`m having one issue. HTC Sense UI has an option to preview messages(2lines) and missed calls right(who and time) on lock screen. This is really handy option with small kids around you dont have to unlock your phone.Since S2 is missing that I've downloaded Notify App which works great. However - I cannot turn off stock notifications - they still show up - so at this time I have to clear notifications twice - once in App and once in Notifications Bar. Is there a way of turning off stock notifications (without custom ROM)? On all other phones i had - there was an option to go to Settings Privacy and uncheck the notifications. This is missing on S2 - all i can see under privacy is Reset to Factory.I really like the phone and how smooth it is. At this point i really dont want to do a custom ROM (`ill root it if need it)
Is there any way of stopping audible notifications when playing music on the S2? I find the pause in the music and beep really annoying, but can't find a way of switching it off.
I have a Z3 and can'tr find out how to turn the vibration for notifications off. In the settings there is an option for "Also Vibrate for Calls" but nothing about how to turn it off for notifications.
Is there a way to customize the vibrations native to Sense 5.5, or do I need a third party app?
I notice in vibrate only that different types of notifications have different vibrate patterns, but I don't know if they're tied to the audible notification or by notification type (email, text, or general?).
It would be nice in the winter when walking outside to be able to tell what the notification is without having to pull the phone out of my pocket. Usually a winter coat or just outside noise drowns out the audible notification.
I just purchased the S5 and I am a little confused. I have vibrating on for notifications but when I get a notification the sound plays but no vibration. I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.
My new galaxy s5 has the Lollipop update....my notifications don't show up on locked screen....In my settings I have it set to show up....I have did a hard reset and factory reset and it still doesn't work....
when wifi is off, I can send myself an email and get notified several seconds later by my phone... if I try the same with wifi on, I get nothing.. Turn wifi off, and the notification comes through..Recently update to latest firmware via kies XWKF3 It is an unbranded sim free SG2 in UK, on Orange...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I would like to know if I can set the message received notification to repeat itself so if I am away from my phone and missed the original notification it will continue to notify me until I acknowledge it.
Just picked up the M8 and I'm super pleased with just about everything on the phone with the exception of a few things. One of the few things that bugs me about this phone is that I'm constantly missing texts, and e-mail notifications if the phone is in my pocket.
On my old phones, I'd rely on vibration to let me know when I receive incoming texts, or notifications, and on the M8 it seems theres only a single option to enable vibration and not anywhere to intensify, or even change the vibration patterns when receiving texts or other notifications.
Is there anything built into the phone that can intensify the vibration or possibly make it vibrate for a longer duration? I'd hate to download a third party app just to do this, but if thats my only option then I'll be happy to do so.
During a call, if there's any kind of notification (email or sms) or alarm the phone will annoyingly vibrate which I and the other person can hear.I've looked in the settings and haven't found a way to only turn off vibrate during calls. The only thing in the settings I've seen is to just turn of notifications completely, which I don't really consider a solution since I would like my phone to vibrate when things come in normally.I've missed the simple setting that stops vibration during a call.
No matter what I do I don't receive any. I get the tile counters, a glance screen notification and it shows new email in the notifications menu but I don't get any sound or vibrate for new emails arriving.
Over the past couple of days, my phone (iphone 4) has been random vibrating and/or making various sounds. When this happens, there are no notifications. It will just sound or buzz for what seems to be no reason. Most of the time, my applications are not on. I have push on for my mail application, but that's it. The phone is in good condition, it's never been dropped or damaged in any way.
Shouldn't this be as straight forward as going into notifications, turning vibrate on and sound on?Apparently not as this doesn't do anything. Sound and vibe works for my other notifications. Outlook is my only issue right now.
I have been using my Droid X problem free for about a month but this morning my phone completely stopped vibrating. It worked properly when my alarms went off around 7 AM but when I got to work around 8:30 there was no notification vibrations, no haptic feedback, and the phone didn't vibrate when I set it to vibrate mode. I didn't touch the phone at all between the time I woke up and the time I pulled it out at work (except to shut the alarms off) so I'm just very confused as to why all of a sudden the vibrate will not function. I have tried rebooting, battery pulls, and changed every vibration setting I could find but to no avail.
I charge my 5s phone at night, and about halfway through the night my phone starts to vibrate to notify me that it is done charging which is great but it constantly wakes me up as it goes on all night. is there a setting I am missing to turn this off? my wife's 5s does not do this nor does my son's ...
